My weekend seems to center around food :p. We have a potluck meal at church. It is a small and fluid congregation. We never know who might show up needing to be fed so our family tends to make a lot of food. So far for this week we're thinking chicken, potatoes, a zucchini side dish, and apple crisp. We've started today, but most of that prep will be done on Saturday.

We are also in the middle of canning season, though we seem to have that really well covered and the only things we will be canning tomorrow are pickles and zucchini relish...and maybe chokecherry jelly. And we hope our Jersey cow doesn't calve until next week, because every day without needing to milk a cow and care for calf and make cheese is a blessing this time of year. We should also get out to water that garden, and probably pick a few veggies before they get out of hand.

Sunday is church, Sunday school, and fellowship. I'm also hoping to have some really good family conversation and maybe play some on my poor neglected violin.
Seems to me you could find something to do though.

Busy weekend. Work related training workshop on good grooming and image enhancement. It's boring.
oofta. Something for your job or something? It sounds really boring. And what a way to spend the weekend!

I'm taking my baby in to the shop and getting some shopping done. I'm thinking about getting him a birthday present....just don't tell him lol. Other than that I'm cleaning and spending time with my man

Btw, the baby I am referring to is not a real baby it's my car, Charlie :)

HA! Yesterday I took my minivan to get a couple new front tires. I drove it up to the mechanic and said, "Baby needs a new pair of shoes."

Ordering a Kalashnikov and extra magazines for worldwide doom and destruction. Also getting some survival preps ready in case I need to bug out.

You shouldn't be all that doom and gloom. Anyway. You can't eat a Kalashnikov. You should rather buy food. And live in a desolate place.

But you can't shoot people with a can of food. Unless you have the rock-it launcher from Fallout 3...

Ha ha, I hope not. I'm not slicking my hair back or dressing up no matter how much ice cream there is. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
It was nice. The weather was too wet to have the cookout/ ice cream social outside so we just hung out inside, stuffed our faces and got to learn more about each other. To my surprise there was only vanilla ice cream, but.... there were bout a bajillion different toppings to put on- good times. :)

"You just don't know how disappointed I am that I could not locate a video of the crocodile dundee purse snatch can throw scene..." ( :p )

However --- so as not to let my time be totally wasted -- here is another favorite scene from the Crocodile Dundee movies...

Monday is eclipse day, that's my plans (quite possibly involving a several hundred mile trek so I can be in the area of totality).
