Hey Lighthearted, great question.
I grew up in the North(ern United States), but have been living in the West. Everyone comes out here for the winters, but I hope to be the opposite someday. I would like to go back to the North during mid-fall to mid-winter because I miss the change of seasons (especially the turning of the leaves), and yes, gasp, the snow. That actually explains me perfectly--I tend to be backwards from a lot of other people!
What I'd really like to do is live a kind of gypsy existence: I'd like to have a home base to store my things but travel around to one place or another, live there a couple weeks or month, then move on, and come home for however many months before I took off again.
I have a couple friends in various parts of the USA who are always like, "Sure, come on over. Just help clean up and chip in for groceries, and you can stay as long as you want." Someday, I hope to take them up on their offers.
I also hope to find friends I could travel with internationally (wouldn't it be amazing to live in another country, like Italy or Australia, for a month or two at a time?!) At heart, I am a homebody who has cravings for big adventures every now and then.
When I was "young", I dreamed of meeting the "right person" because I had hoped we'd go off and have amazing adventures together... I thought singleness meant I'd have to give up my dreams, but now I'm adjusting to the thought of still living them out, but just in a different way and hopefully, with a group of other like-minded single friends.
