You're not speaking reality.
When I came to this thread I was open and innocent and happy to share the word of God.
I answered everyone's questions hoping to share.

Within one day I was being attacked by at least four or five persons.
They were assuming I was not saved because of my answers.
I was told I was going to hell. I was called names.

As you can see, I'm a rather strong person and instead of running away I stood my ground...sure of my beliefs.

I did not find the spirit of God in this thread, but was being told that I did not have the spirit of God.

Loveme1 is smart not to answer your questions.
You are Not to be trusted.

you cant expect agreement if we don't agree. I was corrected this morning in a pm. It's life in the body. None of us know it all. But, the foundation of our faith has to be truth, life, and the way. Of Jesus and His work alone. Then we build on that with more revelation. The inspired truth that is revealing even more of our Head and how His body moves in unity with Him first, and then with one another.

God justifies those who place their faith in the shed righteous blood of Christ, Who alone is worthy, and through His sacrifice, we are reconciled to God. Have you not already been justified?
You still can't tell?
How much practice exam do you need?
And yet you say you're an old Christian.
So when are you going to be able to tell if someone is saved or not?

Not a good judge of character, are you?

I meant keep them... did not say to themselves... I mean just as he has His I have mine.... so back off missy.. you are no better.
You are awfully defensive. You come across as not liking to hear others opinions while you give yours freely, saying we should not judge while you judge wrongly, and not in a pleasant way at all. Perhaps you need to work on that :)

Scripture is very clear. There is a "cosmic" or universal aspect to Christ's work on the cross.

All of heaven and earth belong to the Lord and are His kingdom as He has won back the authority in this earth that the devil had from Adam's transgression.

Luke 4:5-6 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] And he led Him up and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
[SUP]
6
[/SUP] And the devil said to Him, "I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

All people of the world were included in Christ's work on the cross. Rom. 5 speaks of this as does 2 Cor. 5:14.

They must believe in order to receive what Christ has already done in His finished work.

There is a vast difference between a universal atonement and "universalism" which says that all dogs go to heaven.

1 Timothy 4:10 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

2 Corinthians 5:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

We see a picture of this when the 2 thieves "were crucified with Him".

The fact that the Holy Spirit put in the truth of the 2 thieves "being crucified with Him" in all 4 gospel accounts shows the importance of it.

One believed and the other didn't. When people receive the gospel message of the forgiveness of sins - these remain/abide/stay in Christ - those that do not - will be cut off.

To abide or remain in Christ - one must receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. Rom. 5:17

This is why Jesus said that they angles will take "out of His kingdom" those that are goats and not sheep.

The other aspect to this is that we "believers" need to live by Christ's finished work in order to bear fruit unto God. It is His life that bears the fruit.

We don't "generate" fruit on our own - we abide in Christ's life and His life produces the "sap" for fruit-bearing as He alone is the true Vine.

Without Him and His finished work on the cross and resurrection - we can do nothing.

Truth is like an onion - it has many facets to it...:)

What works did you perform yesterday to prove you are saved? If none, does that mean yesterday you were unsaved?
Did you not ask me this?
Did I not reply?
Did I not explain?
Do you not remember?
Do you not remember that I explained why this is a silly question?

Seems some are here only to mock and not discuss.

True,

I heard a sermon once many years ago, and at the time I really had no understanding of it meant, but now it clicks, not sure if you would agree but...

In the sermon he stated, that the true hypocrite, in the covenant of grace, is the one who does not live in the liberty of Jesus

James tells us about the the law of liberty ( James 2:12,) .

Only in Jesus are we truly set free to do.

I agree. The true gospel is all about Christ and what He has already done. This is why Jesus said "Repent and believe in the gospel." Mark 1:15 - change the way you are thinking to rely on the good news of Christ's work.

We are saved by the life of the Lord Jesus Christ which is in us in our new creation. We are now learning how to walk by the spirit - which is our spirit in union with Christ by the Holy Spirit ( whom Jesus said would be in us forever - John 14:16 ).

Romans 5:10-11 (NASB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

[SUP]11 [/SUP] And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Living by the flesh does not stop making us a new creation in Christ. It makes us deceived by sin and distorts our view of the Lord's love and grace towards God Himself, others and ourselves.

I have found the very same thing happening in my life. The more I see Christ and what He has done - and the more I agree with His work - the more He becomes manifested in my life and the things of the flesh just have fallen off like dead leaves on a branch.

Transformation is really the emerging new man that is in Christ being manifested in our bodies while we are here on this earth.

This transformation of what already is in us in Christ in our new creation ( It is not called a "new evolution" ) can be seen by man as our minds get renewed to the truth of Christ's work for us. Rom. 12:2

We are simply "being" who we already are when we "put on Christ".

The new man in Christ is like the invisible man - when he put clothes on, people could then see him. We put on Christ and people see the new man in Christ manifested and God gets glorified.

This all happens by grace through faith in what Christ has done and we participate in it with Him for it is God who is at work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. He will be faithful to us. Phil. 2:13

As we learn to walk by the spirit instead of the flesh - then we experience God's kind of life in our lives while on this earth and in this body of flesh.

Amen...we are sons/daughters serving in the family business in our loving Father's house - showing people the love and grace our Father and Lord have for them.

We make ourselves "bond-slaves"..it's an interesting read in New Testament times to see what a "bond-slave" actually was.

Being "obedient to the faith" is believing in Christ and His work for us for life and living.

Notice here that even the law-keeping - good moral living priests need to be "obedient to the faith". The keeping of the law of Moses is NOT the same as being
"obedient to the faith".

Acts 6:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were
becoming obedient to the faith.

Pagans/Gentiles also need to
be "obedient to the faith" and believe in Christ and what He has done for life and living.

Romans 1:5 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about
the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake,

All people of all types are called to be "
obedient to the faith" - which is belief in Christ alone for life and living.

Romans 16:26 (NASB)
[SUP]26 [/SUP] but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations,
leading to obedience of faith;

Being obedient to the faith is to believe in what Christ has done for life and living. it is all about Christ. His life in and through us will bear good fruit if we feed Christians the proper nutrients of His love and grace for them.
All that good scripture used to back a lie.
Mark 7
9He was also saying to them, “You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition. 10“For Moses said, ‘HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER’; and, ‘HE WHO SPEAKS EVIL OF FATHER OR MOTHER, IS TOBE PUT TO DEATH’; 11but you say, ‘If a man says to his father or his mother, whatever I have that would help you is Corban (that is to say, given to God),’ 12you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or his mother; 13thus invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many things such as that.”

we each have an opinion.. you keep yours and I will mine.. you should follow things closely... maybe we all should including myself be more patient... after all you allow some to do greater.. yet nit pick...
yep patience is helpful to understanding what is said,as for "nit picking" I'll leave that to people who enjoy doing as such,I get what you mean but "correction" isn't "nit picking" "nit picking" is willful trying to upset someone by pointing out every little mistake thereby being a nuisance,I respond to posts when someone either doesn't understand something or they over rule understanding to be,"insulting" which results in noone learning anything, apologies if you interpret such things as "nit picking" when I post in correction.

Truth is a person and His mind. Scripture says "but we have the mind of Christ". Here the ego is crucified with His Cross, and we are raised in resurrection life with Him. Out of life...the Spirit....comes works. We may perform on earth, but the power is of Holy Spirit.

agree?

Sad but true, and also attacking those whose theology she does not even know.

It has been going on for months and months.
Sadly it is the whole group of them, that's why I am thankful a few finally got me to use that ignore button, is was an ongoing battle that no one could win, Was time to show who really had the issue, looks like nothing has changed.

i have had a few email me to say she is still attacking, but I refuse to open up a word she says, nothing God can come from it.
