Well the 1000 yr reign aside from establishing the kingdom on Earth speaks of the devastation the earth has suffered through the tribulation period. It seems that God has chosen to restore the earth on our time frame in terms of years. In other words the restoration will take a long period of time to complete. We will see the events take place as we live and reign with Christ.
The sad part is can you imagine the devastation how massive it is to take that long?
This is a key evidence that those things which John has written has not happened yet. Nor are we in the process of. The stage is set and the curtain is drawn as the world looks for a catastrophic event to occur but these are the rumors that Jesus pointed out. It will be like the world has never seen and if Christ did tarry beyond the appointed time.....well no one would survive.
first of all i read the king james bible. and i dont care about darby stop saying this over and over again i have never read darby's bible or his writings.
the is at hand or will soon happen is from God's perspective and can mean thousands of years. joel 2 has one example where the day of the Lord is at hand and even with ur interpretation took ages to come to pass since u say its 70ad only.

You have to influence them, not the other way around.
Just because someone else has their flesh stirred up doesn't mean you have to fall into it. When you feel that anger and the desire to revile back or be rude back, immediately ask for help and then keep walking in love in the Spirit.
