Hmm, what base are we rating from, the Christian viewpoint or the world's viewpoint? Also, are we talking about politics or our faith, because those aren't necessarily the same score.
Politics:
I struggle with this actually, because if it were up to me, the government would have as little to do with our personal lives as possible. In direct opposition to that, if I'm going to vote, for example, on abortion, I'm not going to condone it with my vote. Which ends up with the government telling people what they can and can't do. I'm a political hypocrite. Of course, if the government truly had no involvement we wouldn't be funding abortions in the first place and this discussion would be different.
The same goes for gay marriage. If you want to be gay and married it's not going to hurt my feelings. You're no worse a sinner than anyone else, but I'm not going to implicitly approve of it with my vote.
All in all I guess this means I'm fairly conservative, but I've got some out there views as well, like all drugs should be legalized, taxed, and regulated with a portion of the taxes going to recovery programs. Put me down for a 5.
Faith:
I am fairly conservative here, especially since I believe in the infallible truth of the bible and the complete sovereignty of God.
I don't believe women should be preachers and I'm not sure where I stand on other forms of female leadership. I believe church discipline should be practiced. Carefully, but it should. On the other hand, the body of Christ are not the people who go into buildings we call churches. Sure, many of them are, but not all of them and some of them never step foot into a "church". I have tons of problems with what "The Church" has become. I think that the world is right to generalize us as a whole as hypocrites. Not because we are Christian and sin, but because when you look at the way the Bible says to live and be and look at the way we live and are it's not even close. I'll rate myself at a 3.
