If believers are doing good works to earn their salvation, then that is not resting in Him.

Are we doing good works by faith in Him to help us to do it or are we doing good works to exalt ourselves over other believers for not keeping the sabbath day as if by not doing so, they are sinning against the Lord & not abiding in Him?

Keeping the sabbath day to avoid sinning against God is forgetting what Christ has done and why Him being in you, is how you and every other saved believer are blameless for profaning the sabbath day. That is how and why He is Lord of the sabbath. Matthew 12:1-7 is a testimony to that truth on why christians have never been taught to keep the sabbath in any epistle to the churches, let alone not one warning in any of the seven churches in Revelations for profaning the sabbath.

It is considered a work to keep the sabbath day if one does so to avoid sinning and to be identified as a sabbath day keeper. To do so is considered by His word as laboring in unbelief in coming short of that rest in Jesus ( Hebrews 4:1-11 ).

We are all children of God by faith in Jesus Christ ( Galatians 3:26 ), and He is able to make any believer stand for profaning the sabbath ( Romans 14:4-8 ) when it is His righteousness apart from the law Who will bring us all Home. Romans 3:26-28
right, I was refering to what Jesus was talking about in Matthew 12, Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.

That is pretty much what I have said and o say. Remembering the Seventh Day is very important to me, keeping it separate, this does nto mean some kind os ceremony, it means, to me at least, to remember what it is, and that it is a gift from the Father. If people want to do ceremonious acts, fine, but it is the inherent worth of the gift to me, and all it says.
yes, many people who self-identify as sabbath-keepers want to keep Saturday seperate.

it might involve different food prep. I've noticed that some sabbath-keepers don't post here Friday night to Saturday night.

a food prep idea: crackers and the kind of cheese that squirts from a bottle. No refrigeration, and a lot of fun!

When God told Adam which tree was not to be eaten and which one was the tree of life, was Adam being a legalist by obeying God? Was Adam earning aproval by obeying?
When God asked for a sacrifice from cain and Abel, did God expect them to listen and obey?
And why did Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not?
It is easy for us to disobey God for various reasons, and He has made a way for us to be forgiven but we should remember that He loves us and by obeying Him we are better off. We may think the laws of love are a burden but that is only your flesh rebelling.
Saturday may look, feel, and seem the same as any other day but the fact is, God said to remember the sabbath and set it aside, it was sanctified. So you can keep it because God said to. Not to gain points or earn salvation but because you trust and love God. Or you can make excuses and think it doesn't matter.
As a child the sabbath was hard but it has become more and more of a delight as i come closer to Jesus. Your missing out on a gift from God if you egnore the sabbath.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
This verse tells me we'll be keeping it in Heaven.

Okay so which is it, Sabbath is not talked about in the renewed covenant or it is? Because you are saying that it was credited to teachings about Sabbath by quoting the scriptures. Also when you do what your parents said to do even after you move out from under their roof are you still trying to get them to love you by your own logic? How about the truth, your parents already love you, as God already loved you before you even knew of the Sabbath day. This should show you you knew not the covenants and where a stranger to them because you didn't know it is written that the Sabbath day is a sign between God and man that He is their God and they His people. Because it is written folks, they have rejected God He has said they are not my people. There is still hope and they only need repent of their ways and return to be healed.

The Commandments of GOD are to be kept by those that Love Him.

Now no one can Love the Father If they love not His Son and if we love His Son we do what he instructs.

Father and Son are One.

Without the Son there is no forgiveness and being born again of the Holy Spirit.

By Grace through Faith we are saved.

We Love GOD because He loved us first.

The Lord of Sabbath brings Grace, Love and Truth from Heavenly Father.

We are to Repent and believe and grow in knowledge and Grace of the Messiah.

Now if transgressing the law killed you .. what do you think you are forgiven and under Grace at liberty for?

To love GOD and delight in His Law.

Believe and Keep the Messiah's Testimony.. you will then be called a saint of the Most high.

peace and love through Heavenly Father and our Lord and Saviour.

The power of birth, death and Resurrection is GOD.

What came to pass on the Cross is victory for all who believe unto the saving of their soul.

Worthy is the Lamb of GOD forever and ever, so be it.

Okay so which is it, Sabbath is not talked about in the renewed covenant or it is?
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
If this is the new covenant = I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:

The first covenant was given before the Ten Commandments were given.
Exo 19:3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
Exo 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
Exo 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Exo 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Exo 19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
Exo 19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

They failed to do it, and God made a better covenant "I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts".

one is based on us doing it the other is based on God doing it. The law of Love didn't pass away.

Are we in agreement that the Sabbath began in the creation week?

As people that were created in that creation week we were meant to be permanent and eternal but that depended on one condition, “if you sin you shall die”. Man was meant to be eternal and be with God forever but we sinned. Was the Sabbath which was made on the last day of the week, made to last forever with man, or made to pass away with man if we sin?

Some would say they don’t keep the Sabbath because Jesus is our rest.
But was the Sabbath created to point to Jesus as our rest? No The Sabbath was created before we needed salvation, sure we find rest in Jesus but to determine if the Sabbath was permanent or temporary we need to understand why it was made.
The Sabbath was made for man and man was made to live forever so that means the Sabbath was made to be forever. That’s Logical isn’t it?

Jesus calls Himself the Lord of the Sabbath in Matthew 12:8; but we see in the last 3 verses of the previous chapter Jesus telling His followers twice He will give them Rest, Matthew 11:28-30.

Paul also tells the believers in Christ, no one is to judges others in meats, drink, respect of holy days, new moon, or sabbath days; for these are shadows of things to come, but the BODY is of CHRIST. Colossians 2:16-17

By my faith in Christ, I enter into His Rest; Hebrews 4:2-3,9-10.

But this Rest is provided by the Holy Spirit. For the writer of Hebrews notes we are to labor to enter this Rest. Paul tells us that the Holy Spirit gives our hearts the love of God, Romans 5:5, and calls love the work of faith, Galatians 5:6, and also noted to the Thessalonians their labor of love, I Thessalonians 1:3. The writer of Hebrews while noting things that accompany salvation makes mention of labor of love, Hebrews 6:9-10. Peter also speaks of this unfeigned love, I Peter 1:22. This love is of God but as believers we must labor to overcome our flesh so that the Spirit may love thru us.

So if you wish to keep the OT Sabbath for God; Praise God. But if a sister or brother in Christ doesn't, Praise God for that also. Romans 14:4-6. This our true Liberty/Freedom in Christ; Galatians 5:1, 11-15.

Read all of it together. He speaks of His teaching as being an easy yoke, His burden as being light..unlike the teaching of thehypocrites who weigh heavy burdens on others, burdens they will not move a finger to lift themselves...

Are the 1000 years passed already? Has Christ ruled on earth? Where and how do you get ever that Christ says He is teh sabbath? It is even written we must labor to enter into His rest. Read all. Believe Jesus, .

Here is a thought:

John 7

19Did not Moses give you the law, and yetnone of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? 20The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? 21Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. 22Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. 23If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? 24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

I have shared this recently before but it highlights something.

if you will then you will see circumcision part of Moses law seperate to GOD's Law. It is there for those that will.

righteous judgement... oh how Great is our Lord.

Okay you are trying to separate the judgment of God from the commandment. Yahshua Messiah is not saying that it is separate but as always he is saying that the ordinance of circumcision is done on the Sabbath day and they persecuted him for healing on the Sabbath day, making a whole person on the Sabbath day and glorifying the Father through obedience through faith. Today is no different than the day of Moses live by faith. A famous rabbi once was asked what the most important command was. He said to love YHWH your God with all your Heart, Mind, and Strength also your neighbor as yourself. He then said all the other is commentary. Messiah said that all the Law hangs on these two. If the Law, (Instruction) hangs on loving God and our neighbors then we should be concerned about following the instructions for our good. Remember that Messiah came to give us an abundant life and that abundant life is in the word through faith obeying as a child should obey his Father's instructions. When we mature enough to walk in Faith by the way of love living in the path of peace you should find this path of peace is peace with God and with your fellow man. Knowing who you are following man's tradition or God's will is only the beginning of the race. Running the race is where we are going to be needed. Only the helmet of salvation in your hand is not equipping the full armor of Elohim. Put on the helmet of salvation. Also put on the shield of faith that is at your back. To be sure your walk is right with God seek His way of Peace to shod you up correctly. The breastplate of righteousness is not a fake mask of holiness put on these good works created before the foundation of the earth. Finally put on the belt of truth and you will find yourselves with the sword of the word in your hand.

Peace and love in Messiah Yahshua John Talmid

The Messiah came to bring us a New Covenant with GOD

The veil was twain.. and the High Priest went into the Holy of Holies.

By Grace I love and obey my Heavenly Father through His Son's Testament.

The Judgement was condemnation until the Messiah overcome with His Blood for us.

We are under Grace at liberty to love and forgive as we are loved and forgiven.

If you are Baptised with the Holy Spirit and teach others circumcision when the New Testament Teaches Faith that worketh by love.. as in circumcision of our hearts then I know not where this leads?

Do you believe you are to Keep the law of Moses to be Righteous?

If you declare openly your beliefs we may understand each other.

Thank you kindly.
