I am a Christian Jew; but not a legalist.

My comments seem to be quite well received here . All the apostles and most of the first century church were Christian Jews. You might want to rethink your remark .
I stand by what I wrote. You may disagree but my scripture is impeccable.

Where in Scripture do you find that the people in 2017 who are trying to put people under Law are Jewish?

I can't find that.

Your answer is found in John chapter one- not in Roman Christianity. Jesus came to His own people, but His own people would not accept Him. Therefore He switches to adoption (whosoever will). This started taking place after the cross, after Christ purchased His church with His own blood, and established the way into it through baptism. Peter was the first one to use the keys by which we must enter the kingdom (the church). The keys being repent and be baptized. (Acts 2:38).

While this is true,God is not done with His chosen people, the Jews. Romans 11 is very clear on this. They will come to Christ they same way we all have. They are the root,we are grafted in. God still has His hand on the Jews.

You seem to be giving Rome too much credit
they were the most powerful empire in the world at that time, one of the most powerful empires in the history of mankind, with all that power leaders can wield a great deal of influence.

for the divide between Christians and Jews. Ideally all Jews -- all of Israel -- should have become Christian, since Messiah came to Israel.
in the early days there was no divide, there was no Christian and Jew, they were all Jews.

Instead the majority of Jews rejected Christ and persecuted Christians.
this does not add up with historical facts. when James was murdered by the pharisees the city revolted and wanted to lynch every pharisee leader, the pharisees had to fire much of their leadership including the high priest who was replaced by a new one named Jesus of all names. the pharisees would never have gone to so much trouble if the majority of the Jews rejected Jesus anyway.

Christianity Is The Flower,

Many times in Christian chat and even here on this
forum, some try to insert Jewish laws and values
into the Christians realm. That will never work. It
really is not possible to be a Christian/Jew. You
can't pour new wine into old wineskins, scripture
says, or sew new patches on old cloth. That is to
say, it will never mix. Scripture also says that the
old law led to death. But Christ on the cross is what
changed everything. We are no longer under the
law but are lead by faith. The old law was the
guardian to lead us to Christ are sons and daughters
of God. I believe a Jewish person should be the best
Jew he can be. I believe that a Christian person
should be the best Christian they can be. It is best
to be one or the other cuz the two really collide. Am
I saying throw out the Old Testament, absolutely
not. The first six covenants let us to the seventh to
bring us Christ on the cross. The seed has germinated,
the flower flourishes. The seed dies so the flower can
live.

You are so right and wrong at the same time. I am a Jew who believes Y-shua is Messiah, I did not stop being a Jew in Feb. of 1991 when I got Saved and non-Jews now Christians are non-Jews who believe in the Jewish Messiah. But non-Jews will never be Jews. The Great news of the Gospel is in Messiah we are one, equal before G-d. one is not more superior than the other! is your heart so evil to say a Jew should just be the best they can be an go to hell without Messiah or a Christian the best they can be and not love Y-shua, for He said if you love me KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. Yes all races should be the best Saved, witnesses for Messiah and righteousness in a dark world that G-d gives grace for us to be and non-Jews and Jews both can do all things thru Messiah who strengthens us and live Godly, Holy lives. Unless the Scripture be holy for I am Holy does not count for non-Jews (Christians) on us Jews. Oh, I just realize I don't think you got anything right. Notice Jewish values ... New Testament Scripture!!!!

I'm not sure if this commit is to me. But let me ask you, in love, the real what? Am I not the real "Christian"? Y-shua is Messiah. I even did a post asking "christians" He was why/why not they but a handful could not answer. He has fulfilled it."Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Y-shua will return an fulfill the remaining of what is not yet fulfilled. it all rises and falls on Him. But has the 10 commandments really passed away? do all people ever where love the Lord their G-d with all their heart mind, soul and strength? Do christians still commit adultery? or as Y-shua put it look upon someone with lust has committed adultery? The Torah always us to know what G-d calls Holy living. Yes some Laws are for Jews only like food Laws. But Christians want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Not to mention. I am a Jew who fallows Messiah. What is a "Christian", if it is someone who has to stop being a Jew I will
never be one of you. But I will always be Saved because Y-shua is my Messiah and by faith He had SAVED ME!!!! I know Him and because of Him and Him alone I know my Daddy, and my Daddy knows me and I am the apple of His eye my G-d!!!!!!

While I do not believe we live under the law,I do not understand Christians that feel the OT is of no use to us today and feel it is only for Jews. Jesus came to fulfill, and He did. But that doesn't make the OT null and void. There is much within it that pertains to Christians today. Again, the Jews are the root and Christians are grafted in. Some forget that point.

Indeed as I've said before being saved is not a free pass to be able to sin it is more of a protector from sin so that we don't die to our sins, and we receive the holy spirit so that we don't seek sin as much.

a serious question and I'm not mocking you but why do you say G-D instead of God when referring to God,it may sound like a silly question but just curious,I have heard that people don't speak God's name because they fear him is that the reason perhaps?Once again I am being serious, just desiring some incite.

I could right God just like I could right Yeshua and I have not sinned but it is ingrained in my as respect to leave out the vowel so I go and Yeshua/Jesus is G-d I respect h\Him too. I am no more righteous or unrighteous than anyone else. Not to mention i am 45 years old, I grew up jewish, I go to a Jewish Messianic Synagogue, I read Messianic literature... I't all "G-d".... it is ingrained. it would be like trying to call soda pop. But I carry it on because to me I am honoring my Father, my G-d that is why I even spell Y-shua without the vowel and that is not in anything Jewish. It is my personal love for Him. I'ts a personal thing.

Thank you for asking I have to utmost respect for you.

The old covenant ended in the 1st century AD. All it's shadows and prophecies find their fullness in Christ and his body.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old
is ready to vanish away.

There is no "Gentile" church there is only a Christian "church" built on the foundation of the apostles - just because the majority of the members of Christ's body are "Gentile" does not make Christ's body Gentile, it is made of newly created people of both "Jew" and Gentile.

Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Amen! To separate the Jews from the Christians or the Christians from the Jews is foolishness. As one in Messiah we should all come alone side each other and build up, editify and even rebuke like the Scripture says. For a "Christian" to say let the Christians be "Christians" and the "Jews" be "Jews" that is foolishness. Y-shua is a Jew should He have nothing to do with "Christians" than? No. We are one in-Him, under Him. This post is not about old testament vs new testament it about the foolishness of Jews and Christians not one in Messiah.

To be clear for another "fight" (lol) is the seed a Jew like you said in the original post or the old testament like you are saying now? Love you either way in Messiah.
