My point is simple, living life in love and the Spirit needs to be our focus.
The kingdom is not about not sinning but service and good works.

Funnily the super grace guys claim to be into this, but your focus appears to be
to catch me in sin. And if I did, you would say, how can you be self righteous and
behave like that. The joke is I just follow, and share Gods word. That is all we
are called to do, and resolve the issue we are convicted about. :(

Eg mentioned I get angry......seen any of that, lol. How many mature people are here
I wonder, because maybe this is a little disappointing?
I am disappointed at simple life issue failure, because this stuff is child's play.

That's not the issue currently DC - what I'm getting from Peter is he's claiming a sinless walk.

What does this mean?

I think this demonstrates how immoral and a total lack of care you guys have.
Gb9 was calling turning up late for something a sin.

Do you understand how stupid this kind of morality is.
It is little wonder how confused the theology is where missed appointments are put alongside
murder, worthy of going to hell.

Intentionally lying about commitments and not taking care is sinful behaviour.
Our focus needs to be on service and care. The Lord will convict as needed, but often
excuses will abound when things come up that mean actual action is needed.

God bless you all
I think I get what you mean, you are focused on keeping your oath of allegiance to God,you are not denying that you sin but rather you realize that some are trying to snare you into telling of a bunch of sins you've had whether recently or further in past,I for one don't seek to provoke an admission out of you,I simply state what I know to be true alongside the holy spirit,God bless you, honor has it's place with God.

Oh I know.....and I, on the flip side of the coin, have yet to see a public stance on salvation.....we are both pursuing a course of action.....seeking to understand where he is coming from....and YES I agree....the workers for and those who say it can be lost seem to push some sort of sinless perfectionism.....

PETER.....I will ask again.....In plain terms, simple sentences and in 4 to 6 lines or less explain your view of biblical salvation, can it be lost, must it be maintained etc...
dc - lol. Believe in Jesus, all His words, follow Him in obedience as Lord and Saviour,
Repent and turn from your sin, in worship and adoration of the King, serving others as Christ served
the church. Our faith is in the cross, through which we have the forgiveness of our sins.
The Kingdom which is communion with the King, following the way, Amen, halleluyah

Some people on this thread I call, "Spoons" because they are always trying to stir up the pot. Be careful and watch what they do because you could become tonights pot of stew, God forbid. This is not edifying to the Body of Christ.... period.
name calling is "pointless".

If someone asked you who your friends were, what would you say?
A group you never speak to or care about?

No your friends are were your heart is. So is this in Christ or just what
you are doing for your own benefit.

But that doesn't answer the question Peter - do you sin yes or no.

We all try to follow in Christ footsteps if we are claiming the name of Christ.

Can it be lost?
Must it be maintained through works?
Does sin cause one to lose it?
Is it eternal?
Is it based entirely on faith?

come to think of it why are some of you so intent on admission of sin from peter,as I recall we only "confess" our sins to Jesus,so it is getting rather childish,he clearly sees this as a snare so you might as well leave the subject be of asking for sin admission from him.

Okay have it your way, who said in the bible that Pharisee's were full of dead men's bone's, yes it was Jesus. Using an object to define someone's behavior is not name calling nor pointless.
I am sorry you feel the way you do.

Here is the problem, I am not claiming my status in my walk, just we can walk pleasing to God.
The fact so many want to excuse compromise and blatent sin brings into question their true
belief in Christ, but are actually in open rebellion.

Is I went and murdered someone, refused to feel bad about it and threatened others would you
say I was a Believer? No.

But as day follows night, some talk like nothing matters. These are not believers but apostates
claiming that which they do not deserve. Sin is not an idle act but worthy of hell, but the way
some talk I mean rape is not an issue, just sweep it under the carpet, do not even feel bad about
it God has forgiven you even while doing it.

It is really this bad. But as the blind appear to be leading the blind, there is little hope to wake
up from this mess. Maybe it is all the effects of watching pork and violence which has corrupted
the minds of so many. To truly redeemed people this is all obvious.

It's not childish - to me it's the way Peter comes across - admission of sin is not something an honest person would shy away from in my opinion, as far as I know nobody is lying in wait to crucify him.

I'd have to go back a few pages to see how this question was asked of Peter.

The more you respond like this Peter the deeper you dig the hole in my opinion.
