Being corrected by a grammar Nazi.
Grew up in a very abusive household. I dropped out of school to get away. Lived in survival mode for the next several years.

I could go on. When grammar comes before love, we have a serious loss of reality

People in public who swear without any regard for who might be listening.

People coughing without covering their mouth.

Grown men spitting on the ground.

Thank you! I sometimes get annoyed when native writers make basic mistakes. (I can always play my ESL card, so I feel I can continue with my sloppy writing)
But I am not going to let you. :p Bwahahahahaha

;)

After all -- is it not 'shame' to the native writers when ESL people do a better job of it? :D

Just think of the great public service you will do for all of humanity by maintaining good grammar...

Okay - maybe I am overstating that a bit...

it depends on the age of the child, but the parent thing is worse, imo, because somebody gotta be the adult. ;)
Well, of course. If the child is young enough, it is somewhat understandable; however, in any case, how the child acts is a reflection of the parenting... ;)

I was not trying to compare the two - they are both "bad" and unfortunate as a reality.

And, yes - if the adults can't be adults, you can't expect much from the children...

Furries...it seems like a sexual thing. It's just weird to me. My friend has a cousin who is really into it. It makes me feel uncomfortable.

Watching documentaries about things underwater...aka Titanic. It's weird but I get strangely afraid when I see things underwater. Oh, I was trying to watch a documentary yesterday about diving into caves and I couldn't! It was so dark and open.

When you're paying for something and they ask you if you'd like to donate to hurricane relief or for a child in Africa to get a Bible. I usually say no b/c I'm tight on money. It's really uncomfortable because I feel bad.

So what makes you uncomfortable? It's silly sometimes what makes us feel weird...but it's kinda funny too when you think about it.

I'm the same with things about water. I live by Lake Erie, I don't mind being near it, but I hate swimming in large open water. I have a pool and I'm fine with that. I think it's just the unknown in a large free flowing body of water that scares me.

I'm uncomfortable when someone I don't know very well discusses personal things with me, like their sex life. I've had that happen to me before. Also when someone starts talking negatively about someone else, it bothers me, I guess you'd call that gossip. I enjoy talking to others but I'd rather not say anything if it's gossip.

Grammar-Nazi trigger warning...

I chuckled at this post because, technically, it is an incomplete sentence.
Irony is my middle name

Strange people who have to touch you (like giving hugs) within a few moments of knowing them makes me uncomfortable

People that don't understand "personal space". Best example I can give is when I am at the grocery store and the person in line behind me at the checkout has to stand right up in my bubble. One arm's distance. Know it. Use it.

Sometimes I try too hard to be funny. Sorry about that. I probably should have left it like I first wrote it.

People do the most crazy things when they are racing against that 5 minute time limit.

Know what I mean?

when the dentist just gets up and walks off leaving you there looking like a clown with your mouth wide open, and they tell you not to move for 5-10 minutes.
