i do not care what the Catholic Church says, i only care what Scriptures teach and what God reveals to me. i believe everyone should keep the Sabbath, NOT because it is a commandment, NOT because a person MUST do that, NOT because it is Required for one to do to be SAVED.

Saturday or Sunday or Monday, who cares as long as they are doing it for the Lord.
It is God that sets aside the 7th Day (Saturday; Friday sunset to Saturday sunset) as a Holy day as a memorial of creation (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11) as a specific day of worship. If we care about the scriptures we should believe and follow what they say because it is not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. (Romans 2:13)

Disciple "Lord they casting out demons in your name and they are not Christians, should we condemn them?" Jesus "condemn them not, anyone who is casting out demons in my name is not against me"
So what if a person decides to keep Sunday Holy to the Lord
We should worship God everyday but God has set a specific day of worship with no work and we should obey him if we love him. (Exodus 20:8-11; Hebrews Chapter 4; John 14:15)

So what if a person decides to keep Saturday Holy to the Lord
Then they are following the Word of God and it is a sign they they are His people (Ezekiel 20:12)

So what if a person decides to keep Monday Holy to the Lord
They broke the commandment by 2 days (James 2:8-12)

It is to the Lord Jesus Christ they keep it Holy. If someone keeps Monday Holy to Jesus Christ are they now against Christ? Would you condemn them because they are not keeping it on a day that YOU think they should?
It is not we who condemns another it is the Word of God that will judge us in the last days. We are sent to save the world (John 12:47:48)

Does Jesus instruct Christians to keep Saturday Holy to Him? NO Does Jesus instruct Christians to keep Sunday Holy to Him? NO

You seem to have made up your mind on this even with the scripture sent you so no need for repetition

Does Jesus instruct Christians to keep any day HOLY to Him? The answer is NO.
Actually yes please read Exodus 20:8-11. Jesus and all the Apostles kept the Sabbath and they are our examples. Happy to resend all the scriptures to you but you seem to have made up your mind.

Stop quibbling about this or that, and be thankful they are keeping any day Holy to Him. This brings to mind the verse swallowing a camel and straining at a gnat.
Sharing the Word of God is not quibbling. Forgive me if I must warn you as who am I but God has told me through His Word that we are to help all to enter His Kingdom. Those that break God's commandment and teach others to do so will not enter His Kingdom. He who loves us is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and be saved. We must follow him because we love him. If neighbor is in danger of losing his salvation and we do not warn him how is this love to him. His blood will be on my hands and my Lord will ask me why did I not help him.

Love One Another, not condemn them. Do instructions to Christians teach that "His Commandments" are the 10 commandments, NO. The instructions to Christians plainly teach us what His Commandments are, and they are 1) believe on Jesus AND 2) Love One another. Do those TWO things are You ARE keeping His Commandments.
Love is the fulfilling of God's Law in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:4)

Romans 13:9-10
9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10, Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

If we love Jesus we must follow him. He that says I know him and keeps not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. So it is in Love and because of Love that we share God's Word with you.

In Christ Always!

i have answered these question, but i will do it again for you.

The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?
NO. Sabbath has always been observed by Israel on the 7th day under the old covenant.

Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?

We are not told to keep the first day of the week Holy, neither are we told to keep the 7th day of the week Holy either.

Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?

Sunday is a Holy Day because it is the first day of the week that Jesus rose from the dead, the first day of the week is when He was resurrected. Saturday is the True Sabbath and is a day of rest. Sunday is a day to worship the Lord because He rose from the dead.

That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?

NOwhere does Scriptures teach Jesus kept the first day of the week as the Sabbath. Jesus while alive kept the 7th day Sabbath Holy because if He didn't then sin would have been found in Him. Remember while Jesus lived He was 100% under the Law of all 600+ commandments given to the Israelites under the old covenant. Jesus never Once instructed His Disciple to continue to keep the Sabbath Holy nor to continue to keep the other 600+ commandments.

That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?

Scriptures does not tell us Christians to keep the first day in honour of the Resurrections of Christ? neither does Scriptures tell us Christians to continue to keep the 7th day as the Sabbath either.

Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?

Nowhere is the first day of the week given a sacred name, However it is on the first day of the week that Jesus rose from the dead, that seems to me would be pretty important to a True Christian.

That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?

Scriptures does not affirm any of the Apostle ever kept the first day as the Sabbath, and it also does not affirm they kept the 7th day as a Sabbath either. it only states that they taught in the synagogues when all the people would gather together in one place, But what this generation fails to understand, they taught about Jesus EVERY day. But when would be the best time to teach about Jesus with a big audience? When they would all gather together in one place, and when did they do that? On the Sabbath. Therefore that is why the Apostle taught in the synagogues on the Sabbath, NOT because they were observing the Sabbath but because that was the best opportunity for them to reach a mass of people about Jesus Christ.

From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

None.

Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

Nowhere. Where are we Christians told not to work on the Sabbath 7th day of the week? Nowhere.

That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

Nowhere does it teach that seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day, However nowhere does it teach that Christians are told to observe it either.

That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

Act_15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment
:

So there were those even back then, even as they are still here today teaching that we must keep the law, to which NONE of the Apostle ever taught such a thing. NONE of the Apostle ever taught us Christians to continue to keep the Sabbath, to continue to keep the law.

Luk_16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Joh_1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

The Law was given by MOSES. Truth came by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. Believe what Jesus and His Apostles taught. Jesus nor any Apostle ever not once taught for us to continue to obey a law that was given to the Israelites by MOSES under the old covenant. Obey Jesus and His Apostle, NOT people who try to add to your burdens by saying you must do this or that as well.

Act_13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Is that True, all that believe in Him are justified from all things, what if that things is Sabbath keeping or not keeping?

Rom_3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

What? Righteousness WITHOUT the law is manifested. So then we are righteous when we obey Jesus and His Apostles, we are not righteous because we keep the law. Those who desire to keep the law, will be judged by the law. Those who are True Christians are not under the law, but have a righteousness that is WITHOUT the law.

Rom_7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Obey Jesus and what He teaches, obey the Apostles and what they teach. DO NOT have to obey the laws given to the Israelites to follow.

Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

NOwhere, nor is it ever taught that any convert should keep the 7th day of the week as the Sabbath either.

Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

Under the Old Covenant the 7th Day was appointed for Israel to keep Holy to the Lord, not the first day, or the second, or the third. ISRAEL was commanded to keep the 7th Day Holy to the Lord. Throughout the entire OLD testament, this is has been commanded over and over and over again. UNDER the New covenant it is not commanded ONCE.

Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?

Scriptures does not call the first day of the week "the Lord's Day". Scriptures also does not call Jesus Return "the Rapture". Scriptures also does not call killing children while still in the womb "Abortion" either.

That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

NOwhere is the first day of the week sanctified or hallowed as the day of rest. Under the old covenant the 7th day was sanctified and hallowed for the Israelite people to follow and obey.

That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

Nowhere.

That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

Nowhere. Where did Jesus, Paul or any other of the Apostle taught anyone to observe the 7th day of the week as the Sabbath? Nowhere.

That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

The 7th Day of the week has always been called a Sabbath by the Jews, and yes many other nations around the Jews referred to the Jewish practice as the "Jewish Sabbath" There is not one text that calls Sunday "Christian Sabbath"

Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

Nowhere is it written to Christians to worship on any particular day of the week, PERIOD. NOWHERE is it written for Christians to keep any day of the week HOLY to the Lord.

Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

Scriptures teach we are no longer under the law. So then if God's Word teaches that we are not under the law, why are you teaching that we should be under the Law of the 10 commandments? Scriptures teach we are not under the law, that the Apostle never gave us any instruction to continue to keep the Law, but YOU teach we should keep the law, you teach that we should be under the 10 commandments. Should we then believe you or Scriptures? You which believe lies from satan, or Scriptures which is from God?

Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

No Scriptures shows the Apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath.
No Scriptures shows the Apostles keeping the 7th day of the week as the Sabbath either.
Scriptures only reveals they taught in the synagogues on the Sabbath day, to ASSUME, or interpret that to mean they observed it, is to assume or interpret in error.

Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

We are authorized to set aside all the Law, We are to keep the Commandments of Jesus Christ, and Scriptures plainly teaches us what His Commandments are 1) Believe on Jesus and 2) Love One Another. Anyone who teaches otherwise would argue with the Apostle John Himself who plainly told us what His Commandments are.

Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

Nowhere, nor did any Apostle teach us (Christians) to keep the 7th day of the week as the Sabbath?

Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

The 7th day of the week is a Holy Day and when Jesus Returns it is ONLY then that Jesus Himself will reestablish the observance of Sabbath Day, but as of right now, we are not commanded, told, or taught to continue to keep the Sabbath Day Holy.

Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

Nowhere.

I may be away for for a bit... I will come back as I have time.
i understand, i too work all the time, and busy helping everyone that is in need of my help.

If you cannot answer any of the above, who should we obey God or man?
i have now answered twice all your questions, And we should obey God and not men. God does not teach us Christians to observe the Sabbath, what do YOU (a man) teach? Should i obey Jesus and His Apostles, or you? Obey God or you?

John forgive me but I don't understand why you speak this to me?

We we have a New Covenant with GOD with a New High Priest. Now the Messiah was not levite so under the law of Moses was not to be a Priest.. therefor there is a New Law of Faith where through Christ we are under Grace not to sin but to walk in the Spirit which is subject to GOD's Law. The New heart of flesh with GOD's Law is inside us and yes it is the 10 Commandments which when one Loves GOD with all their being and each other not one is broken..

We are grafted in to the True vine Which is the Messiah by the Good Husband GOD in belief of His Son. We are made new inwardly because our branches are given the Goodness of the Root they are part of.. we continue to believe unto the saving of our Souls growing in Grace and Knowledge of Christ bearing His fruit through our branches.. Love and Truth of GOD through His Son.

I have not seen Christ with my eyes outwardly but see, hear and feel Him from within by GOD's Grace.. the description given of His New appearance my imagination could not behold enough of the Glory to do justice.. but a little insights warms my inwards with joy.

My children are growing and I teach them knowing that GOD will work His power if they believe.. true babes in Christ.... one is already bold to be loyal to His GOD and offends at the ideas of the world.. even outraged that someone proposed the idea what if Christ was not born.. which person from another religion would we look to.. GOD forbid but no lie prospers when GOD is believed.

The more I learn the more I know we are the Children of GOD through Christ. Spoilt ungrateful people that had to learn the hard way.. but GOD always Had a plan for us and Love, Truth and obedience is paramount.
Because I sense that you're getting it and share with love. Shalom

"Remember to keep holy the Sabbath" is the fourth commandment
Given to the Israelites under the Old Covenant. Tell me, where are Christians told to keep the fourth commandment? Can you name one verse where Jesus teaches us to continue to keep it? No you can't, why? because Jesus NEVER taught that. Can you name one verse where any Apostle ever instructed us to keep the fourth Commandment? NO, really not even them? So then who teaches us Christians to keep the Sabbath? Man does, NOT Jesus, NOT His Apostles, but man teaches that lie.

and the only one that says to "Remember". I don't believe that there is any passage in the bible that states to "Forget about the Sabbath". I believe that there are those, myself included at times, who would rather just forget about the Sabbath because following it to avoid inconvenience.
i have kept the Sabbath for over 10 years now. i believe everyone should observe one day of the week as a Day of Rest unto the Lord. But who i teach against are those who teach you MUST observe it, or you have to keep it, or you must keep the 10 commandments, or you must be under the law specifically the law that says "remember" that law is most important to keep. These teach things that Jesus nor any Apostle ever instructed, trying to add more burdens to our walk with Christ.
i keep it Holy, not because i have to, not because i MUST, not because i am required to, not because it is one of the 10 commandments given to the Israelites under the old covenant, i keep it because i want to keep it.
Nobody has to keep it, nobody must keep it.
Those who keep His Commandments belong to Him, and He to them. And Scriptures plainly teaches us what His Commandments are 1) Believe on Him (Faith) AND 2) Love One Another (Works). Do those two things and you ARE keeping his commandments even if you never, ever observe the Sabbath Day.

i have now answered twice all your questions, And we should obey God and not men. God does not teach us Christians to observe the Sabbath, what do YOU (a man) teach? Should i obey Jesus and His Apostles, or you? Obey God or you?
Dave,

Just cutting and pasting what you have already posted that has been addressed already with the scriptures does not make what your saying right. It only shows you are disregarding the Word of God in order to follow your traditions. We all must believe the Word of God over the teaching and traditions of man. As it is written let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou might be justified in thy sayings, and might overcome when thou art judged.

Friend let's agree to disagree. I do not judge you. If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. I will let you have the last say as you clearly need it more then I do. God's Word has been shared with you. My duty towards you and my God has been fulfilled. He must increase and I must decrease. I love him because he first loved me so I point others to him that they may behold the love of God that takes away our sins. For who are we that he should love us?

Isaiah 55:6-7

6, Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7, Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For those that love God's Word....

WHAT DID JESUS AND THE APOSTLES TEACH ABOUT GOD’S LAW
(the scriptures below are no where near exhaustive)

Jesus taught the 10 commandments…..

1. Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matt 5:17-18)
2. Jesus taught others to follow the 10 commandments (Mark 10:17-21)
3. Jesus taught that Love is the fulfilling (doing) of God’s Law (10 commandments Matt 22:36-40)
4. If we break God’s Law by following man-made traditions we are not following God (Matt 15:3-9)
5. Jesus says if we commit sin we are a servant of sin and he has come to free us from sin (John 8:32-36)
6. Jesus taught if you love God you will keep God’s Law and abide in His Love (John 14:15; 15:10
7. If anyone is breaking any of God’s commandments and teaching others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven <least = lost> (Matt 5:19)
8. No one can obey God’s Law producing the fruit of obedience of ourselves and unless we abide in Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:4-10)

Paul affirms the Ten Commandments……

1. Paul teaches God's people keep the Sabbath Hebrews 4.
2. Paul tells gentiles that "what matters is KEEPING the Commandments of GOD" 1 Cor 7:19
3. Paul tells gentiles "it is not the HEARERS of the Law that are just before God but the DOERS of the Law will be justified... on the day when according to my GOSPEL God will judge all mankind" Rom 2:13-16
4. Paul asks that gentiles consider the doctrine of LAW "Do we then make void the LAW of God by our faith? God forbid! In fact we establish the Law of God" Rom 3:31
5. Paul tells ALL Christians that it is only the lost who will "not subject themselves to the Law of God neither indeed CAN they" Rom 8:6-8
6 Paul reaches all Christians under the NEW Covenant that God's LAW as known in Jer 31:31-33 is "written on the heart and mind" Heb 8:7-11
7. Paul tells all Christians that the OT text is to be used for Doctrine 2Tim 3:16
AND He never claims that "if I did not write it -- it is not scripture for us today" -- as one or two have imagined for us.
8. Paul tells all Christians that the 5th commandment is the "FIRST commandment with a promise" Eph 6:1-2 and is binding on all Christians.
9. God's Law (10 commandments) are holy, just and good (Rom 7:12)
10. God's Law gives us a knowledge of what sin is (Rom 3:20; 7:7)
11. The penalty of breaking God's Law without Jesus is death (Rom 6:23)
12. If we break God's Law we dishonor God (Rom 2:23)
13. If we sin we are "under the Law" and guilty before God (Rom 3:19)
14. We are saved by faith but our faith establishes the Law in us (Rom 3:31)
15. If we are saved by grace we should not break God's Law (Rom 6:1-7)
16. We should not break God's Law if we are under grace (Rom 6:15)
17. We are to serve the Law of God through the mind because that is where sin starts (Rom 6:17; 7:25; 8:4; 12:2)
18. It is God's Law that brings us to Jesus (Gal 3:24)
19. God's salvation frees us from sin so we can be obedient to God's Law and live a life of holiness (Rom 6:22)
20. We will be judged by God's Law and only those that are obedient will be justified because of their faith (Rom 2:4-13)
21. God's Law can only be obeyed through love and a changed heart which comes by faith in God's Word (Rom 2:21-29; 13:9-10; Heb 8:9-10)
22. If we break God's Law and are in unrepentant sin we will be lost and will received God's judgements (Heb 10:26-27)

John affirms the 10 commandments……

1. John says it is only by keeping God’s 10 commandments that we know that we know God (1 John 2:3)
2. If someone says that they know God and do not keep God’s 10 commandments they are lying and not telling the truth (1 John 2:4)
3. We should purify ourselves as Jesus is pure (1 John 3:3)
4. Sin is the breaking of God’s 10 commandments (1 John 3:4)
5. Whoever is abiding in Christ does not commit sin (1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10)
6. If you are in unrepentant sin you have not seen Jesus or know him (1 John 3:6)
7. John warns us that only those that are obedience to God’s Law are his true followers (1 John 3:7)
8. If someone is committing unrepentant sin they are following the devil and not God (1 John 3:7)
9. If you are born of God and abiding in him you will not commit sin (1 John 3:9; 1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10
10. It is the keeping of God’s commandments that is the difference between those that are following God and those that are not following God (1 John 3:10; 1 John 5:3)
11. It is only by Love through faith that we can keep God’s commandments (1 John 5:3-4)
12. God’s true believers in the end days will keep all of God’s commandments through faith in Jesus (Rev 14:12; 22:14)

James also affirms the 10 commandments…….

1. James says God’s Law (10 commandments) are a Royal Law (James 2:8)
2. If we break one of God’s commandments we a guilty before God as sinners breaking all of God’s Law and gave some examples of breaking God’s Law (James 2:9-11)

4. The 10 commandments (God’s Law) are the standard in the judgment (James 2:12)
5. If our faith does not have the fruit of obedience to God’s Law it is dead and not true faith (James 2:16-26)

Peter affirms the 10 commandments……..

1. Sanctification is to obedience to God’s Law (1 Pet 1:2)
2. We can only be changed from sin to obedience to God’s Law by the power of God and it will be revealed in the last days (1 Pet 1:5)
3. We should give up our sins to be holy because Jesus is holy (1 Pet 1:13-16)
4. Jesus is your example who did no sin (1 Pet 2:21-22)
5. Cease from sin and do not live in the flesh (1 Pet 4:1-3)
6. Judgement will begin at the house of God and sinners (those breaking God’s 10 commandments) will not be saved.
7. God has given us his precious promises and as we believe them God will grant us his divine power to live a life of Godliness (obedience to God’s Law; 2 Pet 1:2-4)
8. The Un-Godly (disobedient to God’s Law) will be like Sodom and Gomorrah (2 Pet 2:6)
9. If any turn away from God’s Law and are in unrepentant sin breaking any of God’10 commandments they will be lost (2 Pet 2:20-22)
10 God is not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance and turn away from sin to follow God’s 10 commandments because those that do not will receive the judgements of God (2 Pet 3:5-14)

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament?

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cor 11:1; Eph 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

God’s Law in the NC is written on our hearts it is through love and it is love the fulfils God’s Law in us as we walk not after the flesh but after the spirit and is why Jesus says f you love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15; John 15:10). If we knowingly break one of God’s commandments we commit sin (1 John 3:4). This includes the 7th Day Sabbath which Jesus made for us and commands us to keep as a holy day.

In Christ Always!

For those that think the Sabbath is abolished....

Please show one scripture from God's Word that answers one question below?

1. The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?

2. Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?

3. Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?

4. That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?

5. That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?

6. Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?

7. That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?

8. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

9. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

10. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

11. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

12. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

13. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

14. Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?

15. That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

16. That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

17. That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

18. That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

19. Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

20. Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

21. Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

22. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

23. Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

24. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

25. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

26. I may be away for for a bit... I will come back as I have time.

If you cannot answer any of the above, who should we obey God or man? Sunday Worship is a teaching and tradition of Man over the Word of God and if we are breaking God's law of love we are not following the one who loves us. (Matthew 15:3-9; James 2:8-11)

Most of these questions are non sequiturs!
This is politics not theology...
Anyone who ACTUALLY understands their Bible will recognise this.

This "questionnaire" might intimidate Bible newbies because it looks so formidable but for most of us this just blowing smoke at its best...

Not a good look for the author...

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Hebrews 7:15-16
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Hebrews 4:10-11
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

I certainly do NOT think that the Sabbath is abolished; but there is good precedent for the Church meeting on the first day of the week:

Ac 20:7
7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
KJV

1 Co 16:2-4
2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
KJV

During the first 2 centuries, when the Church was mostly Jewish believers, most believers observed both the Sabbath and the first day of the week. After Constantine's efforts to Paganize the Church; Sabbath observance was discontinued in most churches.

Hi MarcR,

So nice to meet you I have not met you before. I have been in and out of the forum depending on work and family commitments. So always nice to make new friends. Yes I also agree with you. God's Word does not say God's Sabbath is abolished. As for meeting on the 1st day of the week? This is done for a variety of reasons in the scriptures. None of which commands us to keep this day Holy in place of the Lord's day (Mark 2:28).

Everything thing is to be done in Faith and a clear conscience toward GOD.

We can not keep the Sabbath to the letter but we can through the Spirit.

We all reside in different parts of the world and must set aside the Sabbath according what we are given.

It is the love and obedient Heart that GOD delights in.

All things done toward Heavenly Father through Faith in His Son.

And if a man states he believes he keep Sabbath in a different manner offer your insight but do not judge.. no let us be do'ers.. let us be Faithful to our First Love always and forever.

I personally keep the Sabbath as a reminder that the rest we have in Jesus frees us from having to please God by our own efforts.

I Church with fellow believers on Sunday following the example of the early church.

Hebrews 7 is talking about the New Testament and how the Messiah is High Priest. The Law of Faith is Keeping GOD's Commandments and having the Testimony of The Messiah. And yes it is written this is His Commandment that we are to believe :

1 John 3

1Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Believe and Keep His Commandments..

Royal law from the King.

but like I shared prior be a doer of Love...not a judge..
