I'm interested in hidden gems, those deep meanings of scripture, does anybody else know any and would like to share.
heres one of my mine, about the naked young man who left his garment behind after Jesus was arrested, who was that young man, well the name isn't mentioned but I think the young man was (the widow from Nain son) that Jesus brought back to life. and the young man followed Jesus because of it. it was yet another example for the deciples to ponder on about the resurrection since they struggled with understanding it, Jesus did things for reasons and clues for it to dawn of others.
Clue, the linen cloth lying there.
John 20: 4-5
4 Both of them were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first
5 And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in.
Clue, the Deciples knew who the son of the widow was but didn't yet quite know why that happened.
Mark 14:52
52 but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked.
Deciples were present when Jesus rose the young man from the dead.
Luke 7:14
14 Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.”
bonus clue, nothing is mentioned of Joseph after Jesus was 12 years old, he is not mentioned again.
i believe the widow from Nain account has a few meaningful messages from it. another message per say is Jesus himself rose from the dead of coarse, but another interesting detail in the account is why the widow's son, well on the cross Jesus said to the deciple He loved, here is your mother for now on. where was Joseph why couldn't he had done what he always had did.
because Joseph had died some point when Jesus was young, and Mary was a widow like the woman from Nain.
