With Miracle Whip, you need to double up just to get the same fat content. :(
 
An entire cargo ship full of Hellman's Mayonnaise went down and sank in the Gulf of Mexico as it was heading to the port of Chetumal, Mexico.

Now Mexico has a holiday called Sink-o De Mayo! :D

Mayo or Miracle Whip? For what? What are we using it on? I like different things on different food items. For dipping fries I like a mix of mayo and stone-ground mustard. For a turkey sandwich you can't beat miracle whip. For a tuna sandwich mayo is better. Before I decide which is better I have to know what the food is we're using it on.
 
WineRose: I'm guessing japanese mayo has horseradish, AKA "seiyo wasabi" in it?
 
Growing up I ate Miracle Whip but once I left home I switched to Hellman's. It tastes much better and goes well with a lot of foods.

Yes! I grew upon Hellman's. Nothing else tastes as good to me either. I was so bummed when I moved to cali and couldn't find it. Then someone told me it's called Best Foods here and I noticed that the package looks just like Hellman's. :D Of course I'm eating Kraft mayo as I write this because it was cheaper at the grocery. :p
 
I was a Miracle Whip devotee for years, until I realized that many of the ingredients weren't natural. Now I'll never go back.

Yeah my grandma says the same thing, except she says it about Blue Plate. Dunno if Blue Plate mayo is sold anywhere but the South, but she is rather adamant about this. Only Blue Plate is the REAL mayo for her.
 
Miracle Whip[SUP]©[/SUP] has always tasted kinda sour to me. too much vinegar.

i like it better for certain types of salads, but for a sandwich, a more balanced mayonnaise please.
