Well I'm in the habit of breathing. For every breath of CO2 that I exhale I take away life sustaining oxygen from the atmosphere. Oxygen that every human and animal on earth needs to live! Oh the sin!!
lol![]()
Yes,Yes,I don't like even the smell of coffee,I'm allergic to chocolate, and rather not seek out sin,I have plenty of example people who have shown that any such obsessive or compulsive habits are not worth having, though popular.
Life would be a lot easier if talking worked that way too!
(Well, it would be easier for those of us without very good mouth-to-brain filters. lol)

actually sometimes there is no reason to find "a why" sometimes you just have to trust in God and leave matters in his hands, asking a bunch of whys can lead to trouble too,if we ask God why alot instead of trusting in him and praying to him to help us overcomes sins or help others through terrible times then where is our faith? You miss my point.
Ever wondered why? That’s the point
We need do be very careful as to what we consider sin to be. In this case smoking.
Yes it is addressed in scripture what sin is. As addressed in Corinthians, Ephesians and Galatians.
Jesus addressed the sin of unbelief in him.
So to me the point is as I a say WHY?
Even believers can fall foul of the stuff addressed in Corinthians, Ephesians and Galatians.
Why do they. There is an effect, that being the case there must be a cause.
With regards to the non believer I came alongside a fellow director whose marriage was struggling and on the point of divorce.
I plucked up the courage to pray for him.
Part of my prayer was “May he know that you can work in this situation”
When I had finished praying he looked at me with eyes welling up “Bill how can I believe in the God that you talk about when my mother when I was seven was killed by a drunk driver, left my sister and I without a mother and a husband who spent the next 40 years in pain and kept their bedroom the same until the day he died?
Now believers can fall foul of such things that detract from walking with God Like they should do.
Rather than write them off (not saying you are doing this) but we need to ask and pray WHY, is there a cause of the effect?

You can ask why all day,yet not always find an answer to why people decide to be of a reprobate mind(continue or seek harmful habits for no reason but pleasure and trying to forget things) but if we focus on why instead of thinking on "How" one can change for the better(letting God's holy spirit guide instead of one's self)because whys don't always have answers, where as God always has answers.
I know, but through us we can show them by example how doing right can be good instead of bad.I am not only talking about us but am also talking about them.
We walk with ourselves every day.
Are we willing to walk them THEM?
remorse is key in determining that,if a person sins unremorsefully and willfully then that person is not for God but against him,"to be a friend of the world is to be at enmity(war)with God" so on that basis one can choose to delight in sin or in God,choose iniquity or uprightness, choose death for no reason or choose to live for God when his son spared us from dieing in such sin,I for one appreciate Jesus's sacrifice,if I were to willfully decrease my life for no just cause through habit, then I would feel that I would be squandering the life Jesus protected through his sacrifice and the life he gave me thereafter, for the holy spirit weighs on my conscience keeping me from being quick to seek or act upon iniquity, people can call it what they will,I see keeping from useless death filled habits as paying respect to Jesus's sacrifice and other great blessings he gave, because in my view, such deadly things even before I was truly with God I viewed and still view as "Stupid",now I see it also as being "unappreciative" of all Jesus did for us,not to mention "Useless" and "a waste of time".
Things I'm remorseful about:remorse is key in determining that,if a person sins unremorsefully and willfully then that person is not for God but against him,"to be a friend of the world is to be at enmity(war)with God" so on that basis one can choose to delight in sin or in God,choose iniquity or uprightness, choose death for no reason or choose to live for God when his son spared us from dieing in such sin,I for one appreciate Jesus's sacrifice,if I were to willfully decrease my life for no just cause through habit, then I would feel that I would be squandering the life Jesus protected through his sacrifice and the life he gave me thereafter, for the holy spirit weighs on my conscience keeping me from being quick to seek or act upon iniquity, people can call it what they will,I see keeping from useless death filled habits as paying respect to Jesus's sacrifice and other great blessings he gave, because in my view, such deadly things even before I was truly with God I viewed and still view as "Stupid",now I see it also as being "unappreciative" of all Jesus did for us,not to mention "Useless" and "a waste of time".
Which substance do you defend -- white flour? Sugar? Salt? Caffeine? You tend to think you're above because, "At least I don't smoke."(but boy have we seen smokers and other substance users get defensive)
SEVEN Christian chat sites. That's how many you've said you go to every day. I guess it really is the type of obsession or compulsive habits one has, huh?Yes,Yes,I don't like even the smell of coffee,I'm allergic to chocolate, and rather not seek out sin,I have plenty of example people who have shown that any such obsessive or compulsive habits are not worth having, though popular.
How much do you trust him, if you don't dare to ask why? He is God! Do you fear he falls apart if you ask why?actually sometimes there is no reason to find "a why" sometimes you just have to trust in God and leave matters in his hands, asking a bunch of whys can lead to trouble too,if we ask God why alot instead of trusting in him and praying to him to help us overcomes sins or help others through terrible times then where is our faith?

Really doesn't work that way. I wasted 26 years of my Christian walk thinking that.I know, but through us we can show them by example how doing right can be good instead of bad.
