Do you actually know what what it is first and foremost? It is believing... it is about Faith that worketh by Love by believing.. .....believing the Lord’s Testament.. Faith is something that grows.. GOD will keep and give increase when we believe... so if GOD said don’t eat from that tree.. and the tempter comes and states otherwise.. we can believe GOD and say no to the tempter.. thanks to the Victory we have in Christ.
Faith does work through love (Galatians 5:6) and the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us (Romans 5:5). Either we believe in/have faith in Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation or else we don't (Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8). It's one thing to have faith in Christ for salvation, yet babes in Christ especially may struggle with having faith in Christ just to get them through their day and in certain areas of their life. This is the area in which our faith needs to grow so that we may become mature in our faith.

Now God has allotted to each a measure of faith (Romans 12:3); yet in in 1 Corinthians 12:9, we read - "to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit" which is a special endowment of faith to accomplish certain tasks in ministry and not all Christians share the same spiritual gifts.

If the Messiah tells us to Keep the Commandments and to love even our enemies.. GOD empowers and keeps us if we believe Him above all else... no reaching for a verse to misuse.. no.. Believe Him.. Be Faithful for He is Faithful always.
If the Messiah tells us to believe in Him to receive eternal life, then we need to believe in Him (John 3:15,16,18; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26). Now as children of God, the Messiah tells us to keep His Commandments and love our enemies. God does empower us and works in believers to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose, but we must not confuse God's will for us to become saved with God's will for us AFTER we have been saved.

It is that many will say well.. did you sell all you have and give to the poor you must obey.. well I was tested many moons ago.. strengthened to overcome the world.. where you really can give all you have.. even if it is not just silver you have there is so much to give.. nothing in this world is worth more than making peace with your Creator..
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.

Romans 5:1 - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

let them offer you the whole world and you can say no way.. for we learn of True Treasure Which is to be forgiven and Reconciled with Heavenly Father through His Son... the Everlasting life is only worth having with Him.. for life without is pointless and I would not want to live forever without my First Love... 34 years on earth and not with Him is enough.. let alone eternity.. anyhow Peace and love to you all....
Mark 8:36 - For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? 37 For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

all Glory to Heavenly Father and our Lord and Saviour always and forever.
Of course. Praise the Lord! :)

We Believe in the author and finisher of our Faith that is Christ.. yet there is growth which is us growing in Grace and knowledge.. of the Lord we are to obey.

Now we believe Him by doing what He instructs.. It is believing we will receive everlasting life... because in doing is believing..

Now a person can not save themselves.. they must Repent and believe.. you can not be born again of the Holy Spirit by works.. by Faith...certainly.. but when one is made new they desire to do the will of the Father because like you say the Love shed abroad within..

I do not love GOD because the verse states .. but because He Truly Saved me and made me New... it is because I received that love within all undeserved..

There are many gifted believers.. and GOD be thanked.. but if a person does not have Christ as their Foundation I’m weary.. if they dont believe His Words I’m weary.. for the Messiah is to be Believed.. yet many seem to explain in place of believing.. I am told by man that the Commandments are not to be kept yet the Lord states otherwise and then I’m offered explanation.. i Believe GOD always..

We are to make are election sure.. there are things we are to do to make sure we do not fail..

2 Peter 1

1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

I never thought I would be recommending this to anyone here.

BUT THIS ONE IS BEGGING TO BE SHUNNED.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 (ESV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and
not in accord with the tradition that you received from us
.

2 Thessalonians 3:14 (ESV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of that person,
and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed.

Titus 3:10-11 (ESV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice,
have nothing more to do with him
,
[SUP]11 [/SUP] knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 (ESV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
[SUP]4 [/SUP] For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.

Galatians 1:6-9 (ESV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—
[SUP]7 [/SUP] not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

Personal agenda or profit......man your off the rails.........and I will say it one more time....receive it or not and feel free to never address me again if you cannot understand the facts that are laid out...

a. Jesus was born, lived and died under the LAW which RATIFIED the NEW Covenant and EVERYTHING he said needs to be understood in that LIGHT and the fact that a TRANSITION was taking place from the OLD to the NEW.

b. I have answered NUMEROUS times....THE SPIRIT is BORN again of INCORRUPTABLE SEED ETERNALLY in CHRIST, saved, sealed, justified and sanctified in CHRIST....SAID spirit is STILL BOUND IN A SINFUL, DEAD BODY OF SIN that is not subject unto the law or word of GOD and neither indeed CAN BE....the BATTLE GROUND IS THE MIND where decisions are made....IF TRANSFORMED by the renewing of the MIND a SAVED man will submit MORE and MORE to the truth and SIN LESS, but will NEVER BE COMPLETELY SINLESS until they have a NEW BODY in the resurrection and or change.

c. THERE is not a JUST MAN UPON THE EARTH that does GOOD and SINS NOT!
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

DO YOU LOVE GOD? DO YOU OBEY EVERYTHING HE HAS COMMANDED YOU? YES OR NO? IS HE YOUR LORD OR YOU ARE HIS LORD? WHO IS LORD AND WHO IS THE SERVANT?

DON'T EVEN DARE TO MOCK GOD!

This is true. But why dont you exegete the part where Jesus states I NEVER knew you. Not I used to know you, but you turned out to be lawless so now I do not know you anymore.
Why is it that since these people will be turned away because they did not know Him that EVERYBODY who will get turned away on that Day will be turned away because they did not know Him?

"He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know where you are from.’ 26“Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets’; 27and He will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you are from; DEPART FROM ME, ALL YOU EVILDOERS.’" (Luke 13:25-27 NASB)

"you will know them by their fruits.
21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’" (Matthew 7:20-23 NASB)

Notice that it is by their fruit that we know who 'knows' Christ and who does not. But so many in the church are sure their cold, dead, barren 'field' is still a 'knowing' relationship with Christ that will save them. The Bible does not defend this fruitless belief in any way shape or form.

It's only those who do the will of the Father in heaven who will enter into the kingdom on the Last Day (vs.21). And yet so many in the church insist you don't have to do the will of the Father to enter in because salvation is not by works. Not knowing that it is those who are justified apart from works who then do the will of the Father....if they don't resist the Spirit, and keep believing.

Hi loveme1...Iniquity is willfully sinning...If we have a thought, and we act out that thought, then we are willfully sinning which also brings us deeper into the wages of sin...When we get to that point, we have hardened our hearts to God, in turn God will sear our hearts and then we face the wages of sin which is death, we become set apart...But like David when he willfully sinned, he turned to God with a Godly sorrow, he truly repented of his ways, turned his back on his willful sins, and God gave him his grace...
This is just my opinion from what I have learned, please correct me if you read I am wrong...I have up to this day turned my back on my past iniquity, the LORD has broken many chains \:)/, but I know there are sins that I am not aware of that Ii may commit through out the day, this is why I go to God in my prayers at night, and ask Him to show the error of my ways, and when He does, I thank Him for being so merciful to me, I admit I am wrong and He is right, and thank Him for loving me with His pure love, and for keeping me on the straight and narrow path :)...All the glory to Him praise the LORD...xox...
Good post, the only correction I can make is God sees the thought as equal to the deed.

Matthew 5:28 (HCSB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 5:21-22 (HCSB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] “You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder, and whoever murders will be subject to judgment.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Fool!’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You moron!’ will be subject to hellfire.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE THIS OR THIS?

Romans 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

Thank you Mr P Hart..

So the marvellous works were not of Faith? Because folks will say to you they had works.. yet they were told to depart.. so marvellous works in His name don’t save if you Work iniquity..

what do you think the will of His Father is for us?
To fulfill the law.

"I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things (the deeds of the flesh vs.19-21 preceding) will not inherit the kingdom of God.22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." (Galatians 5:21-25 NASB)

When we walk in the Spirit (kindness, love, patience, self-control, etc.) no condemnation of law stands against us. The law can not condemn the person walking according to the fruit of the Spirit. For just as Paul said, faith upholds the law (Romans 3:31) such that no violation of law exists for the one who walks in the fruit of the Spirit.

No outward works (church attendance, witnessing, giving, etc.) will ever make up for not upholding the law through the fruit of the Spirit. Sacrifice will never make up for disobedience: Obedience is better than sacrifice. The church is big on sacrifice, not so big on obedience. Yet they take a false comfort out of the sacrifice of their service. While their fields remain barren.

There is confusion between Grace and works until we become One in Him. "In Him we Live and move and have our being (soul)."
God is not a God of confusion , yes the confusion is in us...xox...

Thank you all for your kindness.. I have been humbled and refreshed by the Truth..

Really no man can boast.. for it is a gift of a Gracious GOD that saves us through our Faith.. unto His good works.. yes we will be judged according to what we do while under Grace at liberty.. and I do believe the Hear and do.. for the Lord spoke it so I believe Him always.
Just so you understand that there are two judgements loveme. The judgement at the Seat of Christ for the believer. The Great White Throne is for all mankind, minus the body of Christ.

There are no female angels in Scripture sis. There isn't even a feminine word for angel.
Really? I thought there would be. Isnt Holy Spirit in Hebrew feminine?

My opinions were probably formed from stories of going to heaven, and The Shack. However, I think I read it in a study by someone that Holy Spirit was feminine.

I do like to read those kind of writings.

The gender of the Holy Spirit has been the object of some discussion in recent years, questioning whether the Holy Spirit should be referred to as "he", "she" or "it". To some extent this derives from the gender of the noun used in different languages. In the original Hebrew of the Old Testament, the word for spirit is "rūaḥ" is a feminine noun. The word for spirit in New Testament Greek is pneuma, a neuter noun. In Latin, the common language of the Roman Catholic Church, the word for spirit is masculine.

Because of your statement of being judged while under grace. We are chastised while here, but rewarded in heaven.

Is my understanding of the scriptures. And it wasn't my intention to offend you.

The Lord teaches us:

Matthew 22

29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine

Thank God the grace of God out bounds our sin when we do sin.....and if a believer cannot sin then Paul must be stupid to write....shall we continue in SIN since grace abounds....what you fail to understand because you have went to seed of a false dogma is that the bible speaks to ways of LIFE and not a believer failing and sinning.....
Too bad you didn't rear the second verse of Rom. 6.

EXACTLY why JOHN writes what he writes which you reject..........
A modern Pharisee is exactly what you are and like them....you cannot see it because of being a blind leader of the blind......
Is this the verse, from John, that you mean?
"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments." (1 John 2:3)

Paul went through many, many 'struggles' AFTER CONVERSION',
and so have we both, hub and myself...it's 'over-coming',
one-day-one-moment-at-a-time', and prayerfully we
gradually grow from a 'new-born's milk, to the
'meat' of the well seasoned 'warrior'...
AMEN, and thank you very much for your graceful intercession on our part.

You are correct Preacher. Now, am wondering about some things I've read.

[h=1]Are all angels male or are some female?[/h]There are two primary lines of evidence to examine in order to determine whether angels are male or female. First, we can look at the pronouns applied to angels in the Bible. Second, we can examine the nature of angels to determine whether they would exist as male and female similar to humans.

The first line of evidence is very clear. Every reference to angels in the Bible uses the masculine gender. An angel is always a "he" rather than a "she" or an "it." In addition, the Greek word for "angel" in the New Testament is angelos, itself a masculine noun. A feminine form of this word does not exist. The angels mentioned throughout the visions of Revelation are referred to with the pronouns "he" and "his."

The second line of evidence, concerning angelic nature, provides a more interesting discussion. First, when angels appear in human form in Scripture, they are always in male form (Genesis 18:2, 16; Ezekiel 9:2). There are no examples of angels presenting themselves as females in Scripture.

Further, the names of angels in the Bible are exclusively male. Only two named angels exist—Michael and Gabriel. Lucifer, the fallen angel or Satan, is also noted as male (Isaiah 14:12).

Then there is Matthew 22:30: "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven." Nothing here negates or confirms the idea of angels being masculine; all that this verse teaches is that marriage does not take place among angels.

However, Matthew 22:30 does highlight one important and often overlooked aspect of this discussion. Angels are not human, so we should not assume they live and function in the same way humans do. The Bible clearly presents angels as males, yet that portrayal may be an allowance for our limited understanding. Angels may truly exist in a manner in which gender is not the same as we understand it.

In the end, we would do well to be content with what Scripture has communicated on the subject. Angels are God's ministering spirits sent to serve the Lord's purposes. They are presented in masculine terms in the Bible. Whether angels are male or female is ultimately less important than whether we know and love the Lord of the angels.

Well now, I have questions. I looked to see if daughters is in the NT, and it says this..

1Pe 3:6 just as Sarah obeyed Abraham and called him lord. You have become her daughters by doing good and by not letting anything terrify you.

Daughters of Jerusalem, Jesus said to one. Then a prophecy that we have become Sons and Daughters to Father, and this scripture.

Ive heard a teaching many years ago about being daughters of Sarah. Never thought too much about it until now.
