My friends prefer I do karaoke solo...

and (in a galaxy far,) far away.
Fixed your post for you Max.

I'm guessing "Kara Oke Solo" must be a related to Han :D (especially if she carries a good blaster by her side.)

I was supposed to write an essay last night but guess what. I wrote another fanfic.

I'm supposed to be writing my essay now but guess what. I'm here on CC.

Someone kick me out of here! I begged HarpyEagle to just block my login so I can't visit CC until I finish my work but he's nowhere to be found! I may have to escalate this to Robo. This ain't good. :/

Actually Kara was Han and Leia's third child, the one they don't much like to talk about. While the two older siblings were carrying on their parents' work of repeatedly saving the galaxy from various bad people who wanted to own it, Kara pursued a career as a pop music star. She had a few catchy songs that went on the charts, her highest ranking being "Tatooine Dreams" which peaked at #3, despite critics observing she had never even been to Tatooine and could not possibly know anything about it. After her pop music career declined she tried being a movie star, but she was about as good an actor as Elvis - like him, she couldn't act so they had her sing all her lines. She never had any big movie hits though, and the public soon forgot about her.

She was briefly married to the politician Trax Du'thor, until she found out he was an aspiring Sith Lord who never made it at the Dark Side academy on Korriban because he wasn't strong enough in the Force. She quickly divorced him and never married again, despite having many boyfriends since.

Kara currently lives in a small mansion on Naboo where she battles alcoholism and age. She still makes an appearance at movie premieres, but nobody is quite sure if she thinks it is expected of her or if she just doesn't want to be completely forgotten.

Yesterday I came home and my elevator was down. I had to spend the evening downstairs in my bedroom. I got someone to get upstairs to the kitchen, though. I didn't starve to death. Today.... My assistant forgot the key and locked us outside. I am now waiting for the locksmith. And a nice bill on 500 USD. What is next?

I tried to make Plato open the door from the inside, but that is not on his repertoire.... yet.

Another day, another headache.

That awkward moment when you're caught up in a Mexican standoff with your friends...

And then you make the frustrating discovery that you're all out of enchiladas.

Christians love to claim they are ridiculed because the world doesn't have an understanding of truth and God, so they miss grasping what God, and we as Christians, are all about. Sometimes this is true.
But all too often I see Christians simply being complete idiots. Gullible. As the old saying goes "too heavenly minded to be of any earthly good".
I just watched a collection of clips of "tornadoes". All of them extreme. It became quickly apparent they were all or mostly fake. The camera, up in the air, panning and suddenly zeroes in at the perfect timing and location to see an airliner get lifted up and thrown.
Watching what appear to be drone shot video of a tornado a few 100 feet away and the drone is perfectly stable.
Just obvious fake shot after obvious fake shot. Five minutes worth.
Reading the comments it was as I suspected. Clips from a movie. But you couldn't go 10 comments without some Christian talking about God's wrath and preaching. Taking this so obviously fake video as real and trying to hinge some preaching to it. I felt embarrassed as a Christian to watch one after another look so foolish.
Not foolish as the world sees us. Just as ignorant and so eager to spiritualize things they miss the obvious.

I'm sure there will be plenty to defend these people and their actions. But it only serves to reinforce idiocy and ignorance among believers and making a true and genuine basis for why we are to be looked down on.
Faith doesn't require us to be stupid. In fact wisdom is expected of us. Yet so few are willing to live blindly on faith, to the point where they blind themselves from truth and call that good fruit. No. I will not accept or defend that position.

I have to give a presentation at a research symposium this afternoon. How revolting. I feel bad for the attendees who must listen to me blather for 30 minutes about how I went about doing my statistical analysis...as interesting as watching paint dry.

This presentation is the last academic responsibility I have this week, so it's almost over and I can rest again. That's good.
