Enow, what you continue to miss is that masturbation in and of itself is not a sin.

I challenge you to defend your words. You insist that masturbation is not sin. I used to be convinced it wasnt sin also. Please explain how it is not self seeking. It is different than other bodily functions. I need to eat and drink to live. I need to expel waste. Sex is not a need. We will not die if we do not have it. Remember love is not self seeking.

Yeah, ok I get you, but I still don't think men and women engaging in this conversation together is decent...seems more like something the enemy would want...
Colossians 3:8
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Just my opinion, but I really don't think Jesus wants men and women coming together and talking about pleasing themselves sexually to each other. To me it just seems, dirty and inappropriate for brothers and sisters in Christ to be engaging in this conversation together. I wouldn't talk to my natural brother about something like this, and I sure hope he never talks to me about his thoughts on it either.

Really, I'm just saying it would be better to let the men teach the men about it and let the women teach the women in matters like this.
I get what you are saying.
I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s filthfy communication.
But yes for some this thread can be uncomfortable.

I think for me though that it is an issue.
I agree with you that men and men talk about it and women and women talk about it.
In an environment that hopefully they can be honest.

Thanks for the clarity, brother, but it still comes off as sowing doubts in His words that masturbation is a sin at all.

How do you define uncleanness? How can masturbation not be of the act of uncleanness as listed in between fornication and lasciviousness which means sexual excessiveness?

When the consequence is not inheriting the kingdom of God, this not really a time to cite an opinion.

Galatians 5:[SUP]19 [/SUP]Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,[SUP]20 [/SUP]Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,[SUP] 21 [/SUP]Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Remember, I am not addressing the argument that masturbation is a sin, simply pointing out its consequences. We are talking about masturbation without lusting, simply pleasing the flesh. The idea is that lust is sin but masturbation isn't (according to the argument). So, I am addressing why even if that were the case (masturbation not being sin) we shouldn't masturbate because of the previously said consequences (weakens one's resistance to temptation, excites the flesh doesn't quench it, etc).

I am not sowing doubts on whether or not masturbation is a sin, I am presenting the consequences of entertaining masturbation under the premise that it isn't a sin. Under such a premise, it is still unwise to practice such activities.

As soon as lust comes into play it becomes sinful, so it's possible it is how it is done, if one was thinking about their own husband or wife then maybe not, anything else and the farthe one gets away from that probably a sin.

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Mat 6:22-23, “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, all your body shall be enlightened. But if your eye is evil, all your body shall be darkened. If, then, the light that is within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”[/FONT]
[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]
Mat 18:8-9, “And if your hand or foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be thrown into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be thrown into the fire of Gehenna.”

Thanks for the clarification.

Here as some scripture for signifying the act of masturbation as sin that it does not necessarily has to accompany lust.

Romans 6:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.[SUP] 13[/SUP]Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

This proves that the act of masturbation as separate from lusting as the sin itself.

Paul even goes further;

Romans 6:[SUP]19 [/SUP]I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

So the act of masturbation is uncleanness whether lust is a part of it or not. The only reason any one performs the act is to get release from being in heat. Whether in time they simply do it out of habit rather than from being in heat, the act is sin.

Romans 1:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
So the act of dishonoring their own bodies is by masturbation as derived from the lusts of their own hearts. God can give them up to it where the act of this sin has dominion over them regardless of lust being the initiator or not.

This is for reproving those who seem to think uncleanness is confined to impure thoughts or the lust itself. There are other acts of sin that can derived from lust like murder. So the act of masturbation is sin itself when it has been borne out of lust just as murder would be.

We are beyond your scope, so step off please.
Hmmmmm we as in legion?

Genesis 38 has nothing to with masturbation . I am surprise a private thing needs to come out the closet into the living room.It has nothing to do with the gospel . Can you imagine a JW coming to your door and say do you masturbate?

That would be like saying the 144,000 in revelation are virgin males and the metphor does not represent the chaste virgin bride, the whole church.

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.Gen 38:8

Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Mat 1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

The name Er and Onan was removed the genealogy. There was a breach that was mended using a gentile.Judas was given a double blessing

Pharez = "a breach" 1) the son of Judah and Tamar, his daughter-in-law

Mat 1:3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

This is not in dispute and he can post all he wants.

His lack of understanding of the topic was what was in dispute and what he needed to step away from.
The beginning question which I was adding to...

The Bible does not mention masturbation or state whether or not masturbation is a sin. The passage most frequently associated with masturbation is the story of Onan in Genesis 38:9–10. Some interpret this passage to say that “spilling your seed” is a sin. However, that is not what the passage is saying. God condemned Onan not for “spilling his seed” but because Onan was rebellious. Onan refused to fulfill his duty to provide an heir for his deceased brother. The passage is not about masturbation but about fulfilling a family obligation.

God is no longer bringing any new relations after any manner .That possibility is sealed up till the end of time. Dreams has another purpose.

One purpose, of which there are many, is to say goodbye to loved ones after they have died.

I was having issues feeling the remorse or changing how I thought and felt about them or just not feeling like I was affected enough by the death.

Then I had the dream with them and was completely overcome with sadness and gave my hug and when I woke up I felt much better and felt we both moved on (not that their spirit was actually in my dream, but in a way it is, my version of it at least). If you are stuck emotionally with something or can't seem to react properly, a dream can facilitate this and may be the "medium" you need.

So now the other shoe drops. First I am not qualified because I am not married. And now, you deny what masturbation is as listed as a work of the flesh called uncleanness.

If the church is to excommunicate an unrepentant brother so as to not have the feast of fellowship which is to be held in sincerity and in truth, then you better believe that is how Jesus Christ will maintain for the Marriage Supper by excommunication as well.

So not only saints in unrepentant iniquity which denies Him, they will be denied, but some christians will love their lives and their loved ones so much that they will not go when the Bridegroom comes; & Jesus gave plenty of warnings about this too.

How about Paul then? Is he qualified? Paul was a widow. Here is what he has to say.

1 Corinthians 7:[SUP]8 [/SUP]I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I.[SUP] 9 [/SUP]But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

Now if what you & Marcelo says is true, why is there a danger to burn if he can relieve himself by masturbation? It makes no sense, because he can think of his deceased wife and masturbate freely as you guys seem to be suggesting as okay to do.

Why tell all believers not to have uncleanness named among them if he does it himself?

Ephesians 5:[SUP]3 [/SUP]But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

How can the act of masturbation escape his scrutiny?

Romans 1:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves

Romans 6:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.[SUP] 13 [/SUP]Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God........[SUP]19 [/SUP]I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Why is he talking about bringing his body under subjection or else risk being a castaway?

1 Corinthians 9:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.[SUP] 25 [/SUP]And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.[SUP] 26 [/SUP]I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:[SUP]27 [/SUP]But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

So is Paul qualified to address the issue of masturbation as being an act of uncleanness wherein you cannot just confine it as referring to impure thoughts as you would like when it is about bringing your body under subjection to not dishonor your body by doing the act of masturbation?

Or do you still want to run the risk of avoiding this issue with Jesus Christ at that throne of grace Whom is the One you should be listening to as His words are the only way you can discern good and evil by & risk being left behind?

Galatians 5:
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,[SUP]20 [/SUP]Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,[SUP]21 [/SUP]Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

I do not want you to answer to me those questions. I am telling you, you will be answering to Him.

2 Corinthians 5:
[SUP]8 [/SUP]We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.[SUP] 9 [/SUP]Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.[SUP] 10 [/SUP]For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.[SUP]11 [/SUP]Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

I'm done with this thread. Those are His words I have been sharing in Christ's love out of concern for those I believe are astray on this issue as I believe Paul's words says so clearly. You take the matter to Him or else.

Have you ever got off without using your mind? Could happen... not often.... Maybe spilling your seed, even though the Bible says it was a sin and once is enough to be the Word of G-d. Bit if you want to deny that. The Scripture also says to bring every thought, imagination under the Word of G-d. So unless you think about G-d while jacking off instead of a woman, man or multiple of both , or children or animal or whatever your flavor is... yeap the mind fits as sin too.

Crude but the real deal!

I can understand your point and completely respect it.

I would also ask you to consider this.What would happen if the church spoke candidly about sex to the saints.

Porn/sex addiction is not just a man problem now. Facts tell us that women addicted to porn are now starting to surpass male porn addiction The numbers of self professed Christian men and women who are addicted to porn and married and single in the church is staggering and sobering. The numbers of full time ministry preachers and staff admitting to looking at porn is the elephant in the room.

The church has lost the battle on SEX but not the war. Candid sex talk without being salacious or sensual about it is exactly something the church should be doing,especially in this day and age

The church loves bashing homosexuals, but hardly bashes their own fornicating , adultery and sexual sins.

I do not believe any church, Pastor, teacher or saint has any room to preach against homosexuals, if their church is ripe in fornication and adultery. Jesus called that taking the beam out of your own eye first.

Candidly speaking about sexual acts between a married man and woman and topics such as this thread actually are healthy not evil.
I will say this, the thread is wide open, you don't even have to be logged on to view it, it should be only access to registered users/members.

if a 7 year old child, happens to come across this thread, and is influenced by the thread topic.

you better off with a mill stone around your neck, each and everyone of you better pray, this doesn't impact a small child in anyway. And I'm talking mods site owners people posting etc.

This isn't no game I'm serious in what I say about this. better delete it or move it were only members can see it not the whole world. if any child stumbles looking at this crap, you will be accountable, you won't know now but one day you will.

Get a grip (metaphorical, not actual if you think masturbating is a sin). No one is more concerned about children than I am, but it is highly unlikely a child is going to read the comments of a bunch of people on a message board. Also, the parents who let their children have unlimited access to the internet are the ones liable, not random people. We should not enforce censorship on the off chance that a little kid might read our comments.

I would be concerned if I were the parents not supervising my child and letting him imbibe whatever he happens to stumble upon on the internet. Censorship is a slippery slope.

Somethings I don't play around with, little children being effected by growing up to fast, makes me see red and I have no remorse for such things,
