Have we not already been given what we need to be transformed/converted ?

Joh 14v16, And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you for ever,
v 17, even the Spirit of truth whom the world can not receive because it sees him not neither knoiws him, for he dwells with you and 'shall be in you.
v18 I will not leave you 'comfortless, I will come to you.

Joh 16v26 But when the 'Comforter is come , whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the 'Spirit of truth which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me.

So I am asking...what are we waiting for ? Is HIS Spirit not enough ?

Somebody may call the life in this body "waiting" for fullness of what is yet to come. For transformation, new universe, for the departure of this material body.

John 7:17, “If anyone chooses to do His desire, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is from YHWH, or whether I speak from Myself.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-28, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in all circumstances give thanks, for this is the desire of יהוה in Messiah יהושע for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, prove them all. Hold fast what is right. Keep back from every form of wickedness. And the Strength of peace Himself set you completely apart, and your entire spirit, and being, and body; be preserved blameless at the coming of our Master יהושע Messiah! He who calls you is trustworthy, who also shall do it. Brothers, pray for us. Greet all the brothers with a set-apart kiss. I charge you by the Master that this letter be read to all the set-apart brothers. The favour of our Master יהושע Messiah be with you. Awmĕin."

We do not die, only our physical bodies die.

But yes, we are kinda waiting for this death:

"For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands."
2 Cor 5:1

I think we need to, myself included, better focus on doing His will.

Matthew 28:19-20, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 16:24-27, “Then יהושע said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his stake, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it. For what is a man profited if he gains all the world, and loses his own life? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Aḏam is going to come in the esteem of His Father with His messengers, and then He shall reward each according to his works.”

I think that is what we should focus on....being about our Father's business....using the time and the Spirit we have been given.

Yes there are many things we can wait for...but in the meantime we are to 'occupy and help has already been provided...because by the time He returns it will be too late to make changes that take us so long.

We will never reach the 'final state' if we don't first learn obedience and make some life-saving changes....Heb 5v8,9.

I know what you mean but fighting temptation is our battle now and it can only be won by following GOd's instructioins. Hating this world means NOT taking part in their activities like sunday worship or xmas etc.....

amen brother.

here is some encouragement: remember that temptation itself is not sin! only if u give in to it, it becomes sin.

James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Every Christian is waiting.

Titus 2:13) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Are you saying that those who speak HIS words are not speaking with HIS authority ? If you only see another Human you have not progressed spiritually and arguments will arise.

Someone once posted this thought slightly altered by myself: If we can’t live for the Lord this day what makes us think we can die for Him tomorrow...

Just a shared though probably speaking most to myself...
