Did God inspire words and then lost them?

Did God inspire words and commanded to live by them and not preserve them for us?
We have preserved everything we need to have preserved. And what we have not in a book, we can have it by leading of the Spirit in our life.

I believe the King James Version is the most accurate. Any other is not so. It is almost like the game Telephone. Remember how we were younger or even older and your teacher whispered things in your ear and you had to whisper what she said into someone else's ear and it went on like that until the last person? Well, for me, other translations are like that. Sometimes they get the jest of what they thought was said and if you don't be careful, a changed word changes everything that was said.

Your example actually debunked the KJV Only position, because we have older texts than the KJV.

Other translations really throw me off, but when I read the King James, I really understand it a lot better. It speaks to my heart, and to my soul. That's how I know God is speaking to me, and that's how I know I am reading His word

Jesus did warn all of us that we will need Him to discern which Bible version loved Him in keeping His words & which did not.

John 14:[SUP]23 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.[SUP]24 [/SUP]He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 15:[SUP]20 [/SUP]Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

He has led me to rely on the KJV for the meat of His words to discern good & evil whereas most other Bible versions have declined from the testimony of the Son in giving that testimony to another, be it the believer ( 1 Peter 4:19 ) or the Holy Spirit ( Romans 8:27 ) and thereby support false teachings that takes the believers' eyes off of Christ to themselves in doing the best they can religiously or to the Holy Spirit in chasing after Him for a sign.

Psalm 119:[SUP]157 [/SUP]Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.[SUP]158 [/SUP]I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

John 5:[SUP]39 [/SUP]Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.[SUP]40 [/SUP]And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

There is no reasoning nor convincing any one of this truth. Only the Lord can help them see this when they trust Him as their Good Shepherd to see which Bible they are to rely on when there can be no lie of the truth, especially when they change the testimony from being about the Son to someone else.

1 John 2:[SUP]20 [/SUP]But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.[SUP]21 [/SUP]I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

But most believers follow what they have learned rather than confirm everything by Him as their Good Shepherd by the KJV.

It's good that YOU believe that... I have no problem with you believing what you will.... but you are not looking at it correctly.

The newer translations have many, many more manuscripts to use as texts for translation, and there are usually quite a few more translators involved in the translating.

As any "troubleshooter" can tell you, the more "eyes" you have on a specific problem, the more likely you are to solve the problem.

Same thing with translating. Would you trust a translation that had one person making all the judgment calls on "what does THIS word really mean?" , or would you (correctly) think that if there were 10 guys looking at that word, and discussing what it meant, that the translation was more likely to be accurate?

Translating the Greek manuscripts is nowhere NEAR like the "telephone game"...

Good grief.... you've taken nearly ALL of those scriptures completely out of context to try to prove your point.

Jesus never spoke english. He could have, I am sure. But His words were recorded in Greek, no? He didn't speak Greek, but they were written/translated to Greek. Is this correct?

Have you confirmed that with Him at that throne of grace? No. You did not. What is more important? Your relationship with the Lord or defending your zingers which holds no substance nor scripture for such a vague rebuttal?

So, then the original mss are a version of His very own spoken words.

Why do ppl have angst against other versions not KJV, when there was a translation of His words from day one of them being written?

Because some translations can be completely opposite of each other. They contradict each other in a lot of way.

We are to read to show ourselves approved. However, from the books that I have personally read read, it is not debunked. But you have your own will to believe as you do and so do I in the learning game. Peace and joy!

We have countless threads on the KJV here at cc . Some pro some con . These threads do have one thing in common. They have all gone south .
