The hypocrisy of the pretense that you can keep the "ten" for righteousness sake.

Jehovah said rightly that with their lips they render service but their heart is far from Me.

Isa 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

For the cause of Christ

Do you think GOD spoke of a Believer of the New Testament?

Emmanuel translates to God With Us, Jesus. Yahweh is Who He is. Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit, and the Ruler of Peace........all the same Read this in Isaiah 9:6

Now it is interchageable, Jesus Said or Yahweh Said......all must learn this eventually.

??? What about it?

The Beast who has made it an obligation to receive a mark on the head and on the hands or hand is the one who goes into the Temple enacting the abomination that makes desolate.

Too many are interpreting as thought this final and greatest of all tribulations has come...... Is sthe Kingdom here?
Have you alreaqdy heard God's Trumpet blast?

What about Roman Empire and the desecration of the temple?

Palm Sunday is a Catholic practice that puts a cross on the head or hand of the person who receive this mark. This I believe is a foreshadow of the mark. The Mark of the Beast is a mark of the Beast System of Government. As the Catholic Church burned Palm to ash so false peace and deception will abound. The mark pit on the head is in ancient Hebrew known as the Tauv. Which means sign.
Yahshua Messiah wondered that man could interpret the sign of the sky, but not the signs of the times.

We should know better, these signs from the Holy Spirit I believe are everywhere and literally in our faces. All we must have is faith as a child, (believe God and do His instructions) and at least as much faith that is in a mustard seed and we all have more than that provided us already. Just as a bird is counted in the field and we are more important, a mustard seed has faith provided it so we must have more faith because we are more important to our creator.

Remember
10His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;
11the Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.

Good morning Endoscopy

This is part of the eschatologyical portions of scripture. Theologians have created 4 Biblical versions of eschatology. Discuss these portions of scripture all you want claiming to know what they mean but the truth is the meanings are hidden from us. They will be made known as it happens and not before. The abomination of desolation takes place in the temple. Where is the temple?
I assume this was posted in collation with what I posted. Thank you.

The point of the post was not to determine when, but that it had not happened in 70AD. But was still a future event well past the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

1323 AD would be a good estimate to as when the Abomination that Desolates was to happen. But the post was not posted to quibble over that.

The fact is, is that Jesus was prophesying to the Apostles. The ones who would proclaim the Gospel throughout the known world. A prophecy that would not occur in the near future, but 1290 years in the future. In other words He was expecting the Christians 1290 years in the future to still be keeping the Sabbath.

Where is the temple?
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God. (not a temple, The Temple) Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

(1Co 3:16; 6:20; Eph2:20-22)

Context brings us to 1290 years in the future; not to the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD my friend. But 1290 years from the point that the Messiah is cut off on Calvary.

Matthew 24:20 is being said in connection with verse 15.

The abomination of desolation happens many years in the future from the destruction of the Temple.

Here let's take a look.

Then when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (the one reading, let him understand),
(Mat 24:15 LITV-TSP)

And from the time the regular sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that desolates set up, a thousand, two hundred and ninety days shall occur .
(Dan 12:11 LITV-TSP)

And after sixty two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end. And he ( Messiah) shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week. And in the middle of the week he (Messiah) shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. And on a wing of the altar will be abominations that desolate, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall pour out on the desolator.
(Dan 9:26-27 LITV-TSP)

As we can see The Messiah shall be cut off. He shall cause the sacrifice to cease (the sacrifice shall be taken away). And from that point; 1290 days and then the abomination of desolates is set up. (the one reading, let him understand),

If we use the "day for a year" Prophetic standard put forth by the LORD in Ezekiel 4:6 that brings us to 1290 years from the point in which the Messiah offered up His sacrifice not to 70AD.

So one can easily see that Jesus is saying, "Pray that your flight not be in the winter or the Sabbath day" in context to 1290 years from the point of His work on Calvary, not the destruction of the Temple.

It is also note worthy that Jesus says in Matt 24:15, "whoso readeth, let him understand". This emphasizes the point that he is speaking to those in the future. The earliest date that I can see that is placed on Matthew is 40 AD. But the general consensus is 70 to 90 AD. Either way the circulation and transcribing difficulties of it at the time would had made it virtually unheard of. Especially considering the persecution the Christians were receiving from their Judean brethren. The Christian church was not welcome in Judea my friends; let alone Jerusalem.

Also when one considers the context of Matthew 24:20. The Apostles to whom He is speaking to have long since been dead.

Here take a look in Matt 24:9 "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake."

All the verses that follow are a continuation of the same prophesy. Well past verse 24 actually. This simple fact can be determined by the uses of the words like, and, but and then. So that means that the Prophesy is more for "whomsoever readeth" than the Apostles.

You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Isaiah 58: 13-14 - "If you turn away your foot from breaking the Sabbath: from doing your pleasure; your own business, your own pleasure, on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight; the holy day of YHWH honorable, and will honor Him by not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor engaging in idle conversation: Then you will find your joy in YHWH; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Yaaqob your father, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken it."

Is the Sabbath still the Lord's holy day, or has He changed it to some other day or has He done away with His holy day altogether?

Unless heaven and earth has passed I don't beleive anything has changed:

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

If he didn't break the Sabbath why where the Pharisees offended by his actions of healing in the temple ?
Agreed.

Is it not written that "NO WORK" is to be done on the Sabbath.

Lev_23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

Jesus knows full well that keeping the Sabbath means to do NO WORK on that day, yet we find Jesus saying plainly that He does work on that day, consider the Words of Jesus Himself:

Joh 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

The Jews persecuted and crucified Him, and this was a big reason for them doing so.

Now it is better to believe GOD whom declares those that Love Him Keep His Commandments.. through Faith in the Messiah’s Testament we learn Love and Truth.
It is better to believe the Apostle John who walked and was taught by Jesus Christ Himself, who plainly and clearly teaches us Christians what His Commandments are.

1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is His commandment, That we should 1) Believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, AND 2) Love One Another, as He gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Anyone, and i say ANYONE who teaches contrary to the above inspired by God Scriptures given to us by the Apostle John who was filled with the Holy Ghost, is not of God but teaches false doctrines which are contrary to the above Scriptures.

Yet Jesus Christ worked on the Sabbath stating His Father is working still and so must He.

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.......

Our pleasure is what pleases our Father, if pleasing the Father requires work, we work.

hERE IS HYPOCRISY: dECLARING TO ALL THAT I or anyone else who works to obey God believe they ae already perfect. Thi is hypocrisy.

Neer say I have ever said man can live by the law perfectly for this is saing I do not believe JESUS cHRIST HS done this for me. Find in my posting anywhere...you will see I do say the Law is not dead only fulfilled, and that we are saved by graqce.

I know of no brother or sister who believes we shoud obey our Father who has stated what you are apparantly very deluded about.
How dare you. I am perfect because I never make any misnakes.

Unless Jesus Christ has removed the veil of Moses no one can read Moses and see the wisdom and grace of God, all they see is what their own legalistic minds allow by means of the written code without the Holy Spirit.
