Can you show us anywhere in scripture that says we need to know whether the Lord was put into the tomb on Tue, Wed or thur? What is important is knowing that he was buried and rose again on the third day.

Do you actually believe that at the Bema seat that the Lord is going to line people up and say "Ok, tell me what day of the week was I buried on and what day of the week did I resurrect? And it better be the correct day of the week because your eternal life depends on it!"
Don't be so 'casual my friend you may live to regret it !
No Yahshua/Jesus is not going to argue with you....it is NOW you and others are being helped to see the truth and make necessary changes ...THEN at the judgement it will be too late and you will be told 'to depart from Him who never knew you.

What you think that it couldn't? I would also remind you that, since Jesus died during the ninth hour, it would have been anywhere between 12pm and 3pm. Therefore, he could have died a 12:15, which would have left plenty of time before sunset to purchase spices. This is really not something that we should be arguing about. [/COLOR]
No maybe we shouldn't...but if we don't get the timing right we will not know the true resurrected Jesus from that of an imposter which the roman church smuggled in to UNsuspecting Baby christians thus spiritually kidnapping them ...to hell.
Because the real Jesus will tell them to 'depart - I never knew you. Do you think satan is not using every opportunity to win this war with the most UNDERhand tactics...and what better than to let people think ANY Jesus is the right one in their (UNdescerning) mind.

Ahwatukee,
re: " ...since Jesus died during the ninth hour, it would have been anywhere between 12pm and 3pm."

How is the ninth hour a period of time between 12 and 3?

Part of not knowing for certain is that the Sabbath of Passover could have coincided with the weekly Sabbath. No one seems to kow the exact day with certainty.

And why wouldn't you know if after sunset was a special day or not when all scripture points to a 'high day/the annual sabbath of unleavened bread Joh 19v31 ? how could it be the 'weekly sabbath on which the women rested when they had not yet bought and prepared the spices ?
Because there were 2 sabbaths that week there were also 2 preparation days, one before each sabbath.
There is no 'secret manner to reading or counting time but it is important to follow scripture in order to recognize the authentic Jesus and not be fobbed off with an imposter by ungodly men...which is what happened and gullible people continue to believe in.
People's 'eternal life depends on whether or not they know and follow the true Jesus ....or they will hear the words I never hnew you !

Now let's see if the women rushed off to buy and prepare spices as soon as Jesus died, say 12.15 ?
Seems they never left the scene for they 'beheld to funeral/burial procedings Lk 23v49-55....right up to sunset/end of preparation day....next day being a 'high day/sabbath they could not do any work and so did their work of buying and prep spices in the friday the weekly prep day for the weekly sabbath on which they then rested as per commandment. So when that sabbath was over they went to the tomb while it was yet dark...but Jesus had ALREADY RISEN...HE WAS NOT THERE....so the Angel said.
Jesus the true one was buried before sunset and also rose before sunset according to scripture.

If you don't see it you are simply IGNORING or rejecting all the events that occured in those 3 days. the fact that certain things happened during those 3 full days are proof enough that there were 2 separate Sabbaths.

I know our Lord, Yeshua, is the Passover Lamb, and I know He was crucified the day before a Sabbath, but what no one knows is was it the Sabbath of the week? Was it the Sabbath of Passover! Was it both? No man seems to know the exact year, and all guess at it.

I believe it was the Sabbath of Passover, but I cannot say it was not also the Seventh Day without someone who truly knows informing me.

I know He is the Lamb of God, the Passover Lamb.

How many Jesus' are there who were without sin and rose from the dead are being preached? But just to comfort you, I am speaking of the One who was without sin, met the righteous requirements of the law, satisfying it completely and took upon himself the wrath that every believer deserves. The One who resurrected and ascended to the right hand of the Father and who is coming back to gather his church.

I believe there is only one who fits the bill and that regardless of the day of the week.

Friend, nothing referring to the true Jesus is 'regardless. Yes from what you say you are speaking of the real Jesus but then spoil it by crediting/attributing it all to a jesus that apparently rose on sunday OUTSIDE of scriptural timeline and is accepted by ***people as genuine...believing it makes no difference. Is our true Savior to be mixed and confused with imposters and charlatons posing as false christs....and it be of no consequence because you believe halve the story ?

The crux of the matter is do we keep our Savior PURE from any hint of wrongdoing and ascribe ALL Glory and Honour to HIM ONLY. He shared His death with criminals...is He to share His resurrection and beyond with them still ???
Since when is a criminal/sinner pardoned from sin and still continue in it ? if they do they know what awaits them ! christians apparently don't have that much sense.

When darkness fell over the land almost immediately after Jesus gave up His Spirit, what makes you think that the darkness subsided before sundown that same day? There is evidence within the scriptures that those who were trying to take the body of Jesus off the cross and place His body into the tomb had to hurry because the Sabbath was to begin at sundown. Who would have been selling spices and such supplies at that time? An all night drug store chain?

Sure, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus did not even have time to grind down the raw spices they had 'to hand - and wrapped Jesus' body in a sheet holding the whole spices... because the Sabbath 'drew on....was fast approaching.
Also the women were present right up to sunset so did not buy spices or prepare any ointment UNTIL the following preparation day After the 'high day.
Why do people have to argue with GOD - His Word ?

How much do you know about that "sheet" which Jesus was wrapped in? Do you want to know more about it, and the scientific mysteries which surround it?

Since n o one is certain as to the year and date Jesus Christ was crucifie no one can say which year it was or what day the Passover was celebrated that particular year.

If I am wating for anyone to tell me, I will wait for the Father, Jesus to tell me. Right now the days He went to assembly or what He did on the Sabbath have nothing to do with mybelieving Him and only Him.

If you know the day of the week it was, perhaps you can share it. Also which type of Sabbath was the day after His crucifixtion since He did celebrate the Passover teh night of the last supper.

You see the date has been blurred by ment. Perhaps someone more versed in this than I may explain it better to you. I believe God has left this information ope for those who have faith.....I believe everything He has taught us...Three days and three nights in the tomb. .

For you (or anyone else) who would like to strengthen your faith, may I suggest that you find and watch a video online which is called "The Fabric of Time"? It sites numerous scientific facts (and mysteries) surrounding "The Shroud of Turin"!

The kBible as understood by the Holy Spirit is more than sufficient for believers. Books abut and videos about are not the same, never can be.

YHWH has through the Holy Scriptures, provided a definite and reconstructable account for those who are willing to read them, they are more than sufficent.

What do you mean by "the kBible?" Are you referring to the King James Bible, which had 80 books in it's original 1611 form, along with numerous cross-references to the Deuterocanonical books? By the way, Monitors, according to Google, I did NOT misspell the word, "Deuterocanonical," even though your forum indicates that I misspelled it!

Interesting and very convincing evidence! Except, my understanding is that the Jews considered any part of a day, even an hour, a "day." In fact, an Orthodox Jew was the one who told me this!

I am not going to comment anymore but pray and re-read. And, I will probably still observe the same days, at least with as regards to the church I attend. So, are we to celebrate "Good Wednesday, instead?" Or just the Resurrection?
I think folks want to believe in 72 hours in so much so to even change the high day sabbath to Thursday. which was never the case a high day sabbath fell in the same sabbath as any other sabbath was.
