When did Jesus know he was the Son of God? Given that he is sinless how was he sinless as a child growing up?

Since He came from heaven I'd say He always knew. He just had to grow physically

Well remember when Jesus was 12 years old and Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem, and that Mary and Joseph searched for him and found him in the temple teaching, and they told Him they had been looking for Him in sorrow, and Jesus told them this, "How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Fathers business?" Key in on that, 12 year old Jesus knew God was the Father, so He knew even then He was the Son of God.

He already knew that in eternity past since He was with God the Father as the Word of God (who is also the Son of God).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:1,14).

Here John -- by Divine revelation -- juxtaposes the eternal Word with the only begotten Son of God -- Jesus Christ. So His sonship was eternal, and at His birth He became Immanuel -- God with us.

In His humanity, surely by the age of twelve.
Please expand.
I'm not saying you are wrong.

I'm not sure there is scripture there is scripture that points to the time he knew he was the Son of God.

Its a odd question. The Bible says Christ is the Living word . That's self explanatory .

By the age of 12 (her reference) he was found in the synagogue doing his Father's will.....I believe he always knew because he was not given the spirit by measure as we are......

Not really, I've been asked that question a few times. Also is been said to me That Jesus just must have sinned as a child because all children sin..

That was the second question in my post.

Odd people ask odd questions and yes there are odd Christians

and there's these verses.

Isaiah 7
16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

Basically no-one has a clue. It is intelligent to question it though. I question the missing half of Jesus' life in the Bible.

The way I see it, Jesus still needed a number 1 or a number 2.

John 17:5

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

Colossians 2:15

[SUP]15 [/SUP]He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Luke 2

48When His parents saw Him, they were astonished. “Child, why have You done this to us?” His mother asked. “Your father and I have been anxiously searching for You.” 49“Why were you looking for Me?” He asked, “Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?” 50But they did not understand the statement He was making to them.

the wording is quite interesting, one he knew he wasn't Joseph son, two Mary says your father and I.

hmm lets go back 12 years to when Mary was to give birth to Jesus, not quite the same reaction.

That's why I asked the question and wanting to solicit a response.
Maybe we can help each other to respond to such questions.
Asked by believers and by those who wish to trip us up.
