If one wants to know exactly what this ministry is about, one should go to the horses mouth. :)

If you are on Facebook, do a search for Ken and Jenny Hodges's. Am not endorsing this way of ministering. I don't understand it. But, they are ministering to Muslims, Hindus and new age followers.

Kris Valloten sp? has denied Bethels endorsement. Just because someone attends services, it doesn't mean that it's of the churches teams.
look stones...let's just be honest

you pretty much agree with the NAR movement so you and I do not and will never agree on this

we can agree on the blood of Jesus washing away our sins, but not on this false apostle movement

I am appalled you would actually endorse or seem to endorse the teaching of these 'witches' from Australia regarding these "Destiny Reading Cards". I have researched this group and they are not Christian because no Christian would practice what they do. They also use crystals and such...another occult practice

These destiny cards are being used at the welcome table of Bethel Church according to Theresa Dedmon, on staff at Bethel and anyone can look her up and please do.

this, is what she says in her book...which anyone can find advertised on her personal site:

“Supernatural creativity can impact people who are coming to your church for the first time. During the school year, I have the School of Ministry students sit at Bethel’s welcome table and prophesy to newcomers through destiny cards
I mean apostate Israel had nothing on much of what passes for Christianity today with regards to personal revelation (God is not a fortune teller folks...He prefers you spend time studying the word and praying for His direction and not consulting mediums, wizards, destiny cards and crystals), false prophets, following after other gods and all the rest of the decline of the truth

And you have a serious problem understanding a simple post. In no way did I endorse, or would I endorse this ministry. Neither does Bethel from what I've read.

And this grave sucking? What they in actuality were doing was to hopefully receive the anointing of the one who had died. Which to me is silly, but I can see why they would think this from the OT and the bones of Elisha.

I don't believe tricks are needed for ministry to anyone. Just the Presence of the Lord on ones life is all anyone needs.

However, I know these times we live in are full of lying spirits about the godly. So search for the truth seven. That's what I say.

so like...how serious is that? you trying a personal jibe or perhaps overlooking the part where I said SEEM to endorse?

again, let's be honest. this is what you said:

we all know what 'ministering' means so if you do not endorse it, then maybe state that and keep it simple as you say.

you know, you can't make this stuff up and I didn't. however, it is endorsed and apparently taught to students of Theresa Dedmon...on staff at Bethel. her words...I have not embellished them

oh I know what grave sucking is. it's definately NOT one of the spiritual gifts we know God gives to those He chooses. this is a bizarre practice that some loony decided was going to result in some spectacular anointing and wow the world and those who follow false prophecies and anointings jumped on board with it and now google is endowed with many pictures of this practice

I would have no doubt that some DO receive some kind of 'spirit'...and then later need help to get rid of it

I say call out this type of thing instead of backing off and pretend nothing to see there..and that is not a reference to you because you already posted your thoughts and so have I

people need to examine these kinds of things and stop approving of them by saying 'oh but they love Jesus'

I say "do they love Jesus?" cause if they do, why are they listening to 'another Jesus'?

I also see no point in going back and forth on this. you clearly said they were 'ministering'

Aren't you basically saying that when this "imparting" was done in the Bible, they were receiving a satanic spirit? If you say, "No, they were getting God's will", then how is it an automatic assumption that the same thing cannot possibly be happening today?

Personally, I'm not into any of that stuff, but neither can I just arbitrarily condemn it.

Here is the website of the founders of Christalginment, they are parents of a very well known BSSM grad, Bethel Pastor and current BSSM teacher. The Hodges are also friends with Bill and Beni Johnson, so the giving the good ole boy Christian pass that Bill don't endorse it or know about it is about as leaky as s screen door in a submarine.

Laying on of hands to impart a spiritual gift is found in the Bible.

2 Tim 1:6

[SUP]6 [/SUP]For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Not explaining what you write just confuses things. And, in this case , it is very confusing.

I got the impression, earlier, that you were against this stuff. Yet, here, you seem to be defending it

Now, why on earth are you still calling these websites "hate sites"?

Could it be that you attend a Bethel church?

Isn't that what it's really about?
Vineyard movement...which is utterly heretical as well.

Thank you Willie :)

When I mentioned Hindus, Muslims and new agers, I was just repeating what Jenny spoke in her video. And as I said at first, I don't understand the ministry. Other than they think these things they use are beneficial in some way to these people. If people are getting saved, which she said they are, why should I object? No one can come to the Lord unless He draws them, so apparently Holy Spirit has no problem drawing.

Me personally would never do this. The only thing I would want to be clothed in is Jesus, His Holy Spirit, and the anointing on the Word that He would speak through me.

I had to look up NAR. NRA is more what we talk about here at home. :) And I don't know if the one I do follow would be labeled this. Nor do I care. I see the fruit in the husband and wife team, both in conversions, and personal life. I hope to emulate them if given the opportunity.

And a critical spirit is one i really try to avoid with everything in me.

So merciful blessings on anyone who judges me.

I'm game. Go to the Vineyard's Official website, and post one thing they profess that is heretical.
You being there is proof enough for me.

I did hear about something really "Satanic-looking" that happened, and I have to warn you guys about it.

This guy trying to claim he was of God. Yeah, had church backing, and everything! He met with a couple of worldly guys who were on the "other" side.

They pulled some "Satanic" trickery, and threw their walking sticks on the ground. I think they were trying to show the God follower how much more powerful their God was..... The sticks turned into snakes! Wow!

Know what he did? He did the exact thing whit his stick. It also became a snake, and ate their snakes.

I couldn't believe it! This could not have been of God..... BECAUSE it had never happened before... and not only that, but the man of God was using the very same tactic they used.

Thank God none of the people we look to as great men in our religion would ever do something like that!

Susanna,
That was an odd thing to say.

If you meant something specific by that, please explain.

I have no problem condemning something like grave sucking

has God suddenly lost His power and can no longer give a fresh anointing?

I think we are both smarter than to think I am saying anything like what you infer

in fact, I find that insulting. you know very well I am saying nothing of the sort

I think God absolutely does equip those HE chooses...the problems with this NAR movement are that they choose themselves

the NT CLEARLY states that GOD chooses and yet we have people draping themselves over the grave markers of dead Christians

I see that as 'nothing good going to come from that'

it clearly is a practice that God would not condone considering all the OT injunctions to basically stay away from the dead, practices involving the dead and any sort of disturbing the dead

do you actually think the Holy Spirit is in the grave here?

uh...

pretty sure I recently read some comments from you that you were looking for a new church because your Vineyard church was going in a direction you didn't agree with

I don't care...but I am pretty sure you said that...and I didn't make an op about the Vinyard anyway so whatever

By that criteria, it would have appeared to anyone watching those old guys doing all that stuff we now say God told them to do, that they were also just making it up. None of those onlookers ever saw or heard God during any of that.

that's weak and you know it...

when was the last time God spoke to Israel through His prophets?

we now have the Holy Spirit and he takes His orders from God and is not at the disposal of self appointed prophets

nice dodge on the grave sucking though. again, is God in the grave?
