Humm, been out of ministry a while hadn't heard of NAR. Googled it and the name Peter Wagner, comes up. From wiki Wagner claims " that God acted through him to end mad-cow disease in Germany"
Ummmm what?!

Wagner continues...

Wagner has listed the differences between the NAR and traditional Protestantism as follows:[SUP][1][/SUP]

  • Apostolic governance – The Apostle Paul's assertion that Jesus appoints apostles within his church continues to this day.
  • The office of the prophet – There is within the church a role and function for present-day prophets.
  • Dominionism – "When Jesus came, He brought the kingdom of God and He expects His kingdom-minded people to take whatever action is needed to push back the long-standing kingdom of Satan and bring the peace and prosperity of His kingdom here on earth."[SUP][2][/SUP]
  • Theocracy – Not to be confused with theocratic government but rather the goal to have "kingdom-minded people" in all areas of society. There are seven areas identified specifically: religion, family, education, government, media, arts & entertainment, and business.[SUP][1][/SUP]
  • Extra-biblical revelation – There is available to all believers the ability to hear from God. "The one major rule governing any new revelation from God is that it cannot contradict what has already been written in the Bible. It may supplement it, however."
  • Supernatural signs and wonders – Signs and wonders such as healing, demonic deliverance, and confirmed prophecies accompany the move of God.
  • Relational structures – church governance has no formal structure but rather is by relational and voluntary alignment to apostles.[SUP][4][/SUP]
[SUP]

This my friends is a recipe for a whole lot of false doctrine. Seen it all before. Kingdom believers, that
nonsense came around when I was a kid, back in the 80s we had a nondenominational church pop up.All
sorts of new beliefs and revelations. When are people going to get this 'its the Gospel stupid"!! We dont
need a new way,we dont need a praise and worship team,we dont need a tv for football,we don't need
flashing lights, gold in the teeth, feathers from heaven!!!! What we need is an old fashioned REVIVAL.The
Bible says "return to the old paths". We don't need a new thing we need the old Gospel.

Can you help me out? I guess I'm not too well versed in Bible knowledge, but I can't seem to remember anything about "revival" in the Bible.

Well,I'll try and help you out if you can find "Sunday school","worship team","baptismal" and "bulletin" in the Bible.I assume you're not against any of them?

It is pretty easy to show all of those, except maybe "bulletin."

Not explaining what you write just confuses things. And, in this case , it is very confusing.

I got the impression, earlier, that you were against this stuff. Yet, here, you seem to be defending it
what is confusing willie? How can I help you out?

Ps. 85-[FONT=&quot]Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

2 Chron.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Is.-...[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot] I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

I can add other verses but the concept of revival is there.[/FONT]

I did hear about something really "Satanic-looking" that happened, and I have to warn you guys about it.

This guy trying to claim he was of God. Yeah, had church backing, and everything! He met with a couple of worldly guys who were on the "other" side.

They pulled some "Satanic" trickery, and threw their walking sticks on the ground. I think they were trying to show the God follower how much more powerful their God was..... The sticks turned into snakes! Wow!

Know what he did? He did the exact thing whit his stick. It also became a snake, and ate their snakes.

I couldn't believe it! This could not have been of God..... BECAUSE it had never happened before... and not only that, but the man of God was using the very same tactic they used.

Thank God none of the people we look to as great men in our religion would ever do something like that!

How tone deaf are you man? Really now, comparing God's Power to the demonic freak show Bethel has turned into is not even in the same league. You are setting up a straw man defense here and nothing more.

Wanna know why Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton have to defend themselves all the time? They are so big they lost accountability and do not manage by walking around and probably have no idea what is going on. When Bill Johnson has to justify things, you know the rumor is true

Members of Bethel are now coming out saying these things, grave sucking to receive anointing and Christ-alignment using Tarot cards and a host of other demonic things are in fact the norm and many are leaving the church.

Don't be dense. Whose bones were they lying on in the Bible? God's?

2 Kings 13:20-21

[SUP]20 [/SUP]Elisha died, and they buried him. Now the bands of the Moabites would invade the land in the spring of the year. [SUP]21 [/SUP]As they were burying a man, behold, they saw a marauding band; and they cast the man into the grave of Elisha. And when the man touched the bones of Elisha he revived and stood up on his feet.

Could you please show us where the man received Elisha's anointing at? He was brought back to life and that was it.

We have the Holy Spirit now.

No answer about the snakes? Oh, well.... I guess that is an entirely different thing.
What if God is actually telling some of these Bethel weirdest to use "Christian cards" to blow the minds of the Tarot Card Readers who come to laugh at Christianity?
It is a entirely different thing willie, and it is sad you cannot see it as such. Did you also happen to check out the website? They also use Henna "christian" themed art and many of their so called female prophets /seer/ card readers/ have the third eye or and Chakra shaped painted on their foreheads.

You seem to be blindly defending and not looking so here is the link again. CHekc out the pics of henna chakra art painted on the foreheads of the prophetic Christian readers. and then come back and tell us how this some how this is on the same level of God using a rod with Moses.

ooooo

and what if He isn't?

at any rate, if you have been paying attention the cards are not the invention of Bethel

why would we need to reenact your mystery Moses and the Egyptian dudes face off scenario? the original was better as is so often the case with remakes :p

the cards are not Christian cards because some practioners of hoodoo, crystal energy reading fortune telling not Christians say they are

ps...you are reeeeeeeeeeaaaally stretching it now LOL!
Notice that some of the pics and some of the women in this ministry" have the chakra third eye painted on the foreheads and one has the crown chakra painted on her head?

New age is so easily discerned and defeated.

Well, you did find the right place. And, I guess you are right... a man instantly coming back to life really indicates nothing more than the usual coming back to life. No reason to think the bones were somehow special.... even though we are told of even handkerchiefs and shadows of men being able to transfer something special.

You should be old enough to know to be extra wary of any article that tells you what "They" and "Them" are thinking and doing. All you are getting fed to you is the accuser's own mindset.
yeah, because articles can be biased I went to the source....Christalignment - About and so should you.

I then googled the Hodges and saw their Facebook pages and found a very recent video of ole Bill Johnson praising them for going to the dark places to shine the light using their cards, etc.

The issue you and several seem to have is the inability to understand that discernment is not judgement and the charismatic stupidity of not calling out anyone for fear of passing judgement is how people like Bill Johnson and the rest his NAR machine in business and I do mean and intentionally use the word "business"

you are getting ridiculous now

please point out the book of Gamaliel in the NT...and while you are trying to find it, maybe read some of the warnings given by Jesus regarding deception

thank God, we CAN actually know what is the will of God and we CAN recognize the doctrines of demons and false teachers and prophets

if a person can't, that could be a result of accepting too much of what is false

no one can stop you from thinking or believing whatever you wish, but you cannot be serious in saying we cannot know what is and what is not of God because if you actually think that, you have ignored a very large portion of scripture

basically I'm done with these silly presentations you are making

they are musings of your own imaginations and you are free to follow them around as much as you like

thankfully, I am pretty sure most of us know better

I guess if someone else wants to bite your bait they can, but it seems you have a real big can of whatever it is you are tossing out there and it really isn't edible
Seems to me willie is just sticking to the 3rd wave, Kingdom dominion theology from John Wimber.

Wimber and the KC Prophets set the stage for the NAR.

Google "Christalignment" and "destiny reading cards".

Neither of those are of God.

Bethel should not be involved with either one.

If they're not, great.
This is the least of the Bethel problems, but God is never mocked.

S2M,
Do you even know where the idea of that "Imparting" comes from?
Romans 1:11-12

[SUP]11 [/SUP]For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; [SUP]12 [/SUP]that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.

2 Tim 1:6

[SUP]6 [/SUP]For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

I am really shackled you do not get this and call yourself vineyard. John Wimber taught direct impartation through the laying on of hands all the time.

In reference to the word "revival" as in another post, I agree this land of America especially needs a "spiritual" revival. The word revival pretty much explains itself IMO.

I pray often for God to poor out His Holy Spirit upon our nation and the people in it who claim to follow Him. I would also go further and suggest that perhaps we have become a bit "complacent."

Maybe your vision isn't as good as this old man's. I saw a view over the right shoulder of a card turner.... who was giving a "reading" to two women who seem to be believers in Tarot. (One of them had something, (a "third eye"?) painted on her forehead.)

You are speaking out of the wrong orifice here.

I would really appreciate you not ruining this thread Willie because someone jolted you off your private hobby horse

tone it down. your language is really going downhill fast

this type of language does nothing for your credibility but rather illustrates someone who gets pretty angry and then gets abusive

thanks so much for your self control
