wicca in the church.. How far they have fallen away from the Gospel..

there have always been occult practices in the church. as it has not been kicked out, it is getting bolder

this personal fortune telling practice, seems to have started with a 'speaker' coming into the church and then getting people to line up at the front at the end of the service and he/she would go to each person and supposedly 'have a word from God' for the individual

I've participated in that myself and had all kinds of words spoken over me but I would not let anyone pray over me that way again

that is not what the gifts are for. this is someone 'using' a gift...a mix of spirits may be worse than one or the other

and now see what it has turned into

so called destiny cards presented by people who have decorated their bodies with occult signs and resemble a type of pagan priest that people would go to for answers

this is nothing short of witchcraft for sure...part of the occult...demonic...and God will allow people to participle because they have forgotten Him while saying they represent Him

it will explode because unless it is truly the end of time, God will only let it all go so far and then it will recycle. I do not say this prophetically in any way, but simply through reading scripture and seeing this is how Israel went for hundreds of years and Christians are no better

The Bible clearly says that His ways are higher than our ways, and that we cannot decide how He is going to do something. So, why do you keep insisting you know what methods God will use to reach people caught by various things?
wow. really and truly just wow

I do know God's methods and I learned them the hard way. Many people here know God's methods and some of them learned them the hard way also

that verse you are 'using' does not mean what you are trying to say it means

it is EXACTLY because God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours that a person with biblical common sense would understand that there is no such thing as Christian tarot cards

no such thing

it saddens me that you do not. I mean that

Jesus said that if He is lifted up, He will draw ALL mean to Him. That is what the Holy Spirit honors. Christ is Who the Holy Spirit honors.

even a cursory reading of the OT illustrates how God views the practices of the occult, witchcraft, other gods and satanic human so called wisdom

Yep,when you're in ministry you see some odd things.I was in a church in Maine,no offence to the state, and met some of the weirdest folk Id ever met. This "pastor" would take the women of the church and go pray in a graveyard. He'd also get them in a room and turn out the lights and pray, and he wasn't the type of man Id trust with the lights on,just sayin. And the people of the church let this go on!! He would "preach" for hours, just rambling basically.I got up and walked out. I wasn't about to support his foolishness. Even if I was the special guest. The whole lot of them were weird. That was years and years ago and I still tell people the story.Amazing what people will accept.

I recall when "feathers from the rafters" was all the rage and "gold in the teeth". Someone said to me "you don't believe God can put gold in the teeth"? I said "I believe He can,I just don't see why He would. There are people with cancer, other diseases, financial issues, family issues, excuse me if I don't believe God is concerned about putting gold in your teeth." Seriously, people need to grow up spiritually.

yeah...God will pretty much allow people to do what they are going to do...just like Israel

Solomon was right and is proven right when he said 'nothing new under the sun'

the manipulation of the congregation by an unscrupulous individual is something to see and until God sets you free, you just don't know how bad it can get

the inner workings of a 'ministry' is an education not soon to be forgotten :(

In reference to the word "revival" as in another post, I agree this land of America especially needs a "spiritual" revival. The word revival pretty much explains itself IMO.

I pray often for God to poor out His Holy Spirit upon our nation and the people in it who claim to follow Him. I would also go further and suggest that perhaps we have become a bit "complacent."
The NAR is responsible for the false teaching of revival in 2 ways.

First, they believe that if they go and make a worldwide revival Jesus will come sooner. This is false and not grounded in scripture anywhere. Jesus said the only thing we are to go and make are disciples.

Second, they believe everyone should be praying for God to send this revival. Again no such thing is mentioned in the Bible, unless you take 2 Chronicles 7:14 out of complete context which people and especially the NAR people do all the time.

You and I are the revival sister, we are also the move of God and we are also someones miracle.

The church needs to stop following the devils of influence and be doers of the word.

The church is praying for God to send and do something, he already has empowered us to do.

Well I don't totally disagree with you on your points above. I still believe that we Christians need to be "revived" in our spirits if we find ourselves complacent.

I can agree with that

we have scripture to back that up...David praying 'renew a right spirit within me' for one...but many more

the Holy Spirit revives us from the inside out but it is also true there can be times of desert...God says we will find Him when we seek Him with our whole heart

reminds me of what He said to the Israelites before they went into the land He promised them...

He said WHEN not if, when you have forgotten me....Deut. 8:12...the whole chapter is God reminding them not to forget Him

I could write so much about this because we have the physical illustration of much of what takes place spiritually now

Notice that some of the pics and some of the women in this ministry" have the chakra third eye painted on the foreheads and one has the crown chakra painted on her head?

New age is so easily discerned and defeated.

seems to me that the more people who call themselves Christians accept what it so obviously NOT of God, the more they are susceptible to the worst kinds of devilish tomfoolery

I've seen it and the only thing that saved me was the constant uncomfortable feeling in my gut that it wasn't God

you find yourself defending the indefensible

Well, you did find the right place. And, I guess you are right... a man instantly coming back to life really indicates nothing more than the usual coming back to life. No reason to think the bones were somehow special.... even though we are told of even handkerchiefs and shadows of men being able to transfer something special.
Lazarus and many others

apparently, when Jesus died, tombs opened and the dead came out

comprehension. here it is:

death could not hold Jesus. His very life gave life even as He died. this actually gives me goosebumps...the life we have in Him...this is what is the miracle

Matthew 27

5From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,[SUP]c[/SUP] lemasabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[SUP]d[/SUP]47When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.”

48Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. 49The rest said, “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.”

50And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.51At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split

52and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

54When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

such life entered death, that death let go

We counseled a couple who came back after 9 months at BSSM, they were torn apart and really very messed up in all ways. They were told by instructors and that elders at the church protected upper management in the church, Bill Johnson, Brian & Jenn Johnson, Kris Vallotton and others by engaging in intentional plausible deniability schemes.

I do not doubt for a minute that bill Johnson knows whats going on in his business.

Actually, I don't believe we Christians encourage one another enough. Perhaps we need a thread about that. If we can't find encouragement from one another, to whom can we turn?

i believe verses 52-54 are out of place, for it was the power of the resurrection that brought those folks back to life.

Mt28:2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
Mt28:3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
Mt28:4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

Mt27:52 The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
Mt27:53 They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
Mt27:54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"

Mk16:8 Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.
Mt28:11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Psalm 133

Keep in mind that dwelling in unity does not necessarily mean agreeing on every jot and tittle. Unity can still be possible with differences of opinions.

BTW,6........ "Serious Bible research" doesn't mean just finding a site constructed by someone else who also hates a certain preacher or practice, then just copying their rhetoric. It means going to the Bible and finding that although you might not agree with your target's interpretation, by God, they actually DID come to their conclusions by reading the exact words of the Bible.

I have found none of these supposed "False Teachers" who just invented a doctrine out of thin air. I may not see eye-to-eye with how they look at the verses they derive their doctrine from, but I cannot claim they did not take it directly from the same Bible you or I read. I asked another poster if they knew where this so-called heretical notion of "Imparting" came from. Do you?

Have to disagree totally! JM and the people she reposts are all hypergrace. I examined all the relevant Scriptures in Greek/Hebrew on Word Faith, which is the foundation of hypergrace, in a post a while, back, which you can read in this link:

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/144809-word-faith-look-what-bible-says.html

Oh, and wasn’t hypergrace banned on CC?

I have also exegeted the devotionals and the constant thin gruel she posts from these false teachers. They really do NOT know the Bible, and they have deluded thousands? Millions? Of people!

Now, there are people here I disagree with theologically. Nehemiah6 would be one. But, I think he has extensively studied the Bible, just by the way he posts. I feel good about discussing the Bible with him, because we do have a common understanding of proper hermeneutics and how to read the Bible in context. In the end, if we disagree, I can accept he has done his homework, and pray that maybe God will show him what he has shown me. Or not!

But these hypergrace people, are clueless! It is just a matter of showing the context, to show how wrong they are. And shallow! JM idolizes the people, the message and misses what Jesus actually says! I even opened her post to see what she was flogging, and was stunned at how wrong and infantile her copy and pastes are, as usual. And, I have begged her to say it in her own words, and she blocked me! Great stuff, hypergrace! Where black is white, ignorance is strength and freedom is slavery! No, wait, that was 1984!

As for you, Willie, you have really gone off the rails here in this thread! Defending “tarot” cards, by any name. You know, I was in the New Age Movement for 10 years before God saved me. God did NOT use any tarot cards readings to save me. He used the Word of God, the testimonies of the saints, and the proclamation of the gospel, just like the Bible says we are to do.

You are off track here, Willie, can’t believe what I’m seeing you write this!

You know very well that I was not defending Tarot cards. (I even specifically said that in no uncertain terms in one of my posts.) I was standing against the damning of people who honestly do believe their warped understanding of Scripture is God telling them to reach this entire lost group of "very unusual" people by using methods of communicating with them that they can understand and relate to. For anyone to approach them at one of their New Age Fairs (where these Bethel people seem to go to find them) wearing a three-piece suit and reciting Scripture at them from a Scofield would be a sure way to guarantee turning them off to your message.

My God has not told me that I have the right to deliberately condemn either of those groups... the weirdo church people, nor the freaky New Agers. But, he did tell me to resist hatred in any form. And these websites are nothing less.
