Hello stillness,

Some comments below in BLUE

Galatians 5:18 "Those that are led by the Spirit ("Born of the Spirit") are not under the Law."

Yes this is true because they have REPENTED and CLEANSED of their SINS and by FAITH in God's WORD been FORGIVEN. If they are still living a life of SIN however they are not being led by the Spirit of God because God only gives His Spirit to those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW (OBEY) him (Acts 5:32)

When we are led by the spirit, we "Fight the good fight of Faith," ("Wars are appointed until the end").

Yes when we come to Jesus it is just the beggining. As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk ye IN him. We WALK by FAITH in God's WORD and not by sight. However anyone still in their SINS do not have the Holy Spirit. God only gives His Spirit to those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW (OBEY) him (Acts 5:32)

We are to put away our divided Spirit, to have the mind of Christ. "A double minded man is unstable in all His ways." About losing our life in this world to have life in God. Having lost my life: "No longer I that lives but Christ." how could I be under the Law when led by the Spirit.

God only gives His Spirit to those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW (OBEY) him (Acts 5:32)

"Those that are led by the Spirit ("Born of the Spirit") are not under the Law."

Yes because they have REPENTED from their SINS and been CLEANSED and washed in the BLLOD of Jesus and now they are free to LOVE him and FOLLOW HIM because he first LOVED them.

This is what I came to see: The new Commandment fulfils the Law, it's the Love of God in us by the Holy Spirit, and apart from Him I'm nothing. Forever dependant on the Holy Spirit for our life and it's why He is given to us for ever:

Yes absolutely, Love is the fulfilling of God's LAW in those who walk by FAITH. If you are led by God's Spirit you will know practice known SIN. Those who practice SIN do not KNOW him or have not seen HIM who loves us and are still in their SINS and have NOT received His Spirit (1 John 3:6-8; Acts 5:32)

we have no achievement of our own under law: Forever prisoner of the Lord, not having a life of our own in obedience to the old covenant. To late for that anyway, its annulled: "No fruit grow on you, from now on for ever."

The purpose of God's LAW is only to give us a knowledge of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS so that we can come to Jesus and through FAITH let him save us from our SINS. WE are to ABIDE in HIM and by FAITH he produced the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE in through LOVE in those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls them (John 15:3-7)

We died under the Law, there are people in your church who believe this as well. You helped me see that the Law had to be abolished."

God's LAW (10 commandments) is never abolished it is the knowledge of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS that leads us to Jesus. The one leads to the other. Jesus is the end of the LAW for righteousness because God's LAW leads all who see they are sinners to the Savior and by Faith are we saved and not of works lest any man should boast (Eph 2:8). We walk in newness of LIFE renouncing SIN by walking in HIS Spirit through LOVE. (Romans 3:20; Galatains 3:24-25; Romans 13:8-10; Romans 8:1-4; Romans 6:4)

We are in hope of Resurrection. "Having entered into rest." "So that the requirements of the Law are fulfilled in us who believe." In "A new commandment I give to you, that you Love one another; as I have Loved you, that you also Love one another." "All manner of sin shall be forgiven to man but rejecting the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven to man."

Anyone living a life of disobedience in SIN is rejecting God's Spirit and the Gift of God's dear son and do not receive God's Spirit neither do they KNOW him who loves all and is calling us come for all things are now ready.... (Hebrews 10:26-27; 1 John 3:6-8; Acts 5:32)
Thanks for sharing,

Hope this helps...

Amazing isn't it. I live a country where they print "In God We Trust" on their money, force people who work for them to work on His Sabbath while forcing the same people to be off work in observance of High Days and Sabbaths created by a famous ancient Sun Worshipper. Go figure.

I guess it's all about perspective. :^)
You bought into the same sales pitch as the customer on my mail route.

If you wish to remain under the law, then that would be your perspective.

so, do you care to state again how you do not say that one must keep the Sabbath to be saved? because this post makes it pretty clear that you think so. ( not true, Sabbath is not part of salvation ).
Yes, nothing but sugar coated double talk. SDA's play the same game in salvation as every other false movement of Christendom. They profess to teach that salvation is by grace through faith, but then redefine this in a way that is contrary to the Gospel truth. Even though SDA's may deny this, they teach that salvation is by "grace plus law, faith plus works." Their doctrine of salvation is a subtle mixture of law and grace that is a perversion of the Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9).

Hello MMD,

Well none of that is true at all. If you do not KNOW God's Word how can you know the Gospel? If you build your house on the sand great will be the fall thereof. If you have lost your lamp how can you find your way at night when the road is narrow? Many are indeed called but few are chosen.

Jesus said: "Follow me" He said: "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me". Want to be saved? Follow Him, He is the Way the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Him! We can't "climb up some other way". We need to go with Jesus, not against Him. Did He keep the Sabbath, let us too walk in the Sabbath truth, as He did. Did He live His life for others? Let us too live our lives for others. Did He die for those around Him? Let us do the same by His Grace! We need to "walk" as He walked. He is our example. Let us follow Him!

Is not Christ the fulfillment of the law for us. Therefore we follow Him and He is our law!

In Genesis 2, God rested, and left us an example (Exodus 20:8-11). In the Gospels, Jesus overcame, by resting in His Father's Love and Word, and left us an example to follow Him! I think (myself included here) we have gotten so used to Jesus saying those words that we stop there. We don't actually follow Him to the synagogue to see that that was His custom to go their on Sabbath and read. We don't follow Him to Gethsemanie. You see, I believe the life of Christ is a blueprint of direction for the life of the Christian. We ought to walk as He did in all circumstances and cases, but how can we know if we are not daily spending time with Him!

Let us thank Him for the Seventh Day Sabbath, for 24 uninterrupted hours with Him to learn of Him. A day He set apart, unlike any other day in the week! What an awesome Savior we have.

It's a very diabolical and disgusting thing to try and get rid of the Seventh Day Sabbath as it affords us uniterrupted time that is divinely decreed by our Heavenly Father to get closer to Jesus in ways we would not otherwise be able to do so.

Hello humbledbygrace25

So nice to meet you here. Thanks very much for sharing. So nice to see someone who reads God's Word for themselves. Only those who seek him will find him when they search for him with all of their heart.

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

They can't recognize it because if they do they need to leave the SDA and they're hooked.

yeah, many are called. few are chosen. like those who attempt to earn salvation by keeping the law. like you. God calls you to believe in the Son. you and others reject this, instead choosing to try to earn salvation by keeping the law.

talking about Jesus , and then saying that keeping a day that only Israel was given is part of believing in Him is double speak at it's finest. ( and just plain wrong ).

Let me remind this verse again

Romans 14

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Do this verse say that people that esteemeth every day alike break the law?

I believe Paul life in the transition era, some of his member in Rome are jews that esteemeth sabbath above other days, some are gentile that esteemeth every days alike

let me repeat my question: did This verse say to esteemeth every day alike is breaking the law?

Days and diet..days and diet..days and diet..days and diet..days and diet...

Yes, we all know that is foremost on God's mind :)

Judaizers are like a...two-string banjo...how many songs can you play with a two-string banjo?

God, I praise you for rescuing me from the Judaizers, and showing me the richness of your Word, Jesus, and the New Covenant.

Read post #2452. Romans 14 says nothing about the Sabbath. The context is all about eating practices.

Romans 14 clearly addresses observance of days, and diets, and Christian liberty in this area.

Judaizers develop explanations around the clear truth, and refuse to admit clear Scriptural teachings that refute their pet doctrines. I did it myself for ten years, until God liberated me.

Well since according to God's Word being "under the law" means being dead in my sins, you are once again mistaken. I do not wish to remain "under the Law" or dead as it were.

I have Faith" that Jesus removed my sins and I am no longer dead (under the law) but alive to serve.

Shall I transgress the Commandments of God by following ancient religious traditions created by a sun worshipper, or create images of God in the likeness of some man or fish or anything else on earth? Paul says "God Forbid".

How can I claim to love the God of the bible,(Jesus) then turn right around after He died for me, and dishonor and disrespect Him by doing the same things the religious men that murdered Him did?

louis,
re: "
The Lord himself, worked to do good on the Sabbath."

What has that got to do with Romans 14?
What does any day in particular have above any other day?
If someone commemorates a Tuesday in reverence to the Lord, it is them a Sabbath to that individual.
Common sense reasoning folks; not dogma like the Pharisees.

Beautiful H25,

The adversary knows how important this time is especially in our evil world today. Your word's bring me hope and comfort knowing there are others who belief in the same Jesus I believe in.

Thank You.

Col. 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

The Understanding of God's Word is a Spiritual understanding that God gives to some and withholds from others. This is a Biblical Fact.

If I am studying the Bible and I see the Commandment, "thou shall not commit adultery", will God give me understanding if, after Bible study, I slip out the back door and fool around with the neighbors wife?

What if I read the Commandment "Thou Shall not Steal". If I study the Bible all day then slip out at night and rob a gas station each night, will God Grant me Spiritual understanding?

Of course not. People who humble themselves to God's Word have a different understanding than those who do not. Even those who mock you and I would have to agree with this.

Yet they believe they can read the Commandment about His Sabbath He Created for them, reject it openly, and be given the same understanding as those who respect and honor God by humbling themselves to His Word.

There is no clearer example of this than the relationship Jesus had with the Mainstream Preachers of His Time (Pharisees) who had studied the Bible deeply for centuries, but had created their own images of God in the likeness of man and their own Sabbaths, and their own traditions which Transgressed the commandments of God.

They had two completely different understandings about the same God.

Fascinating to see God's Word living in our evil time.

Great Post :)

Romans 14

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

it is Clear apostle Paul different with SDA oN this issue
Except the Creator does not view all days as the same:

Genesis 2:1-3, “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array. And in the seventh day the Mighty One completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And the Mighty One blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which the Mighty One in creating had made.”

Paul says all things are lawful:

1 Corinthians 10:23-33, “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Matt 13:41-43, "The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear."

are all things Lawful?

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices falsehood."

Amen! Yet they need to know the truth and be made free (John 8:32).

The Sabbath and Sunday - The Sabbath & Sunday
Hello MMD

You quote John 8:32 but you do not understand the meaning. This scripture is only supporting what has been tried to be shared with you. Jesus is referring to being set free from SIN which is breaking God's commandments.

Let's look at the scriptures in CONTEXT to see what they are talking about........

John 8
31,
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33, They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34, Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35, And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

SIN is the transgression of GOD's LAW (1 John 3:4). Those who commit SIN are a SERVANT OF SIN (John 8:34).

You cannot serve TWO MASTERS you will either Hate one and Love the other or else hold to the one and despise the other.

You cannot serve God and the World (Matt 6:24) For where your treasure is there will your heart be also.

Romans
16,
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of SIN unto death, or of OBEDIENCE unto righteousness?
18, Being then made free from SIN , ye became the servants of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
19, I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20, For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21, What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is DEATH.
22, But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23, For the wages of SIN is DEATH; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let's bring it all together.....

SIN is the transgression of God's LAW. IF you are practicing KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN you are are SERVANT to SIN and NOT FOLLOWING Him who LOVES YOU. For this you cannot SERVE TWO MASTERS means you cannot profess to SERVE GOD while practicing SIN. Those who SIN do not KNOW GOD (1 John 3:6-8) and are not FOLLOWING GOD.

Only the BELIEVERS and FOLLOWERS of GOD'S WORD are His PEOPLE. Those who DO NOT BELIEVE and FOLLOW God are still in their SINS. Those who practice KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN do NOT enter the KINGDOM of HEAVEN because they are still IN their SINS and the wages of SIN is death because they REJECT the GIFT of God's dear son.

...................................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
