Paul further explains what Jesus was saying in John 14:1-3 in II Corinthians 5:1-5
“For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling,3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked.4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.5 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.”
The blessed hope is two fold, the retrun of Christ and our immortal bodies, there is no literal house, room or mansion being bulit by Jesus for us to live in when we see Him face to face and live with Him evermore. The Greek word "οἰκίᾳ" is used both in John 14:2 and II Corinthians 5:1 which is the dwelling not made with hands, it was completed in the resurrection of Jesus from the died by the power of the Spirit. Paul says more about that dwelling in I Corinthians 15:50-55
“I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?””
We must put on that dwelling not made by hands to live with Him forever, because in our present state we cannot inherit the kingdom of God, because we are fleash and blood, we need to be flesh and bone as He is, Luke 24:39
“See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” John also speak of us being like He is at His appearing in I John 3:2-3
“Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.”
Having the hope of His appearing, His return and the blessed hope purifies himself as He is prue. As we look for His retrun our blessed hope we purify ourselves. I have no clue how anyone could call these Scriptures believing in a heresy or something demonic, because they speak of His coming and those that have hope in His coming/appearing are purified.
I had no clue that heresy or the demonic could purifiy anything.
