Thanks, but that still does not explain how the mulberry tree becomes uprooted and planted in the sea.
Also, Luke 17:6 is not seen as a parable, though Luke 17:7-10 (The Master and Servant) is.

I suspect that you may be missing the point of what Jesus said, which is that faith is able to overcome even the most stubborn and tenacious of obstacles. The mulberry tree was merely a metaphor.
Thats the point . Somthing that is not possible or seems impossible maybe accomplish thru FAITH.

Its just like faith can move mountains...the mountains being obstacles in our path. With faith in Christ that we can overcome our obstacles...although it does not say when or how fast. That would all be in Gods perfect time and season. He could hand us a metaphoric shovel and have us get busy. Perhaps He provides the shovel...perhaps He lends His strength...or maybe He just shovels for us when we're too tired. He works in our lives in many ways if we believe He can.

The same way as a mountain would be uprooted and cast into the sea. This is simply to shown that faith can move metaphorical mountains or trees. So kindly tell us in all honesty if you were simply being silly.
Surely you are not saying that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, would be unable to tell a mulberry tree to be uprooted and planted in the sea? After all, Jesus...Matthew 21:19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.

Luke intentionally chose a metaphor that in human terms would be totally impossible. To ask for such a thing in faith would require that we sincerely believe that God wanted it to happen. The application is that ANYTHING Jesus indicates to be His will, we can ask for with confidence.

The mustard seed, has within it, God's will or plan (DNA). The seed follows God's plan, or will, to the letter and becomes a large fruitful tree. Those who follow God's will to the letter will also know what God's will is and will obey it.

Because there was never a mulberry tree uprooted and planted in the sea.... It is incredible that such a simple thing should need to be explained to you... The scripture was hinting that incredible things can be done when one has faith.. You are focused on the thing,,, the example of the mulberry tree and are totally oblivious to the central message of the passage..
i suppose the mulberry tree can either resist or submit, but it's going to end up in the sea either way.
i'm reading that they don't have deep root systems, but wide, pervasive ones, from which new shoots can grow up out of. so they are difficult to remove not because they are particularly strong, deep roots, but because you have to uproot all of it to get it out of a yard, and it may be spread out over a big area...
