Relationship wise- when the guy is no longer interested in only me. I let him go. I’m not into pluralism when it comes to romance.

1. When it starts controlling you instead of you controlling it
2. When you find yourself asking "why am I still doing this?"
3. When you know you've honestly given it your all.
4. When it starts negatively affecting your relationships with people close to you
5. When your dog leaves you :p

When you receive divorce papers.
That happened to me in 1984 when the deputy sheriff pulled in my driveway to drop these documents off.
For some reason, I had always thought divorce papers had to be delivered by a person, but I guess not. Mine came in the mail one day, out of the blue, with a big heading, "You Are Being Sued for Divorce", as if it were just another bill. In fact, it kind of felt that way, as if my then-husband was saying, "I Was Married to You and Now You're Gonna Pay, Because You Owe Me!"

When the former spouse marries someone else.
And if them marrying someone else doesn't work, just wait 'til they start having kids together.

Don't get me thinking about it..... her new husband is ugly.

"5. When even your dog no longer respects you.."

There are certainly some good reasons out there to give up on something or let go.....
But that there are some things in life we should never give up on, like our dreams... and ourselves.

Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame
Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned

But just because it burns, doesn't mean you're gonna die
You gotta get up and try, and try, and try...

I've had a couple times in my life where I had to let someone or something go because he, she, or it became more important to me than God (a good sign is that I was becoming obsessed with the thought of losing he, she, or it.)

And He basically had to pry he, she, or it out of my cold, clenched fists as I hurled myself screaming and kicking on the floor... because unfortunately, I'm just that stubborn (and I don't let go easily.)

Lesson for the day: Don't. be. like. me.

The perfect time to let go is when you let God do His thing.

When someone else cuts their losses with u
when things radically fall apart all the way through the foundation and u cant rebuild it
when u get prompted by God to do so
