Yours is the OSAS view, which many scritptures testify against.
I will concur that if someone stays in the faith of Christ that the OSAS view does apply.
But for individuals who leave believing in love, truth, and justice, the OSAS view would then not apply.
Personally, I read the KJV, and the faith of Christ to me means believing in what Christ believed in. If someone believes in what Christ believed then that person is justified.
Having faith in Christ to me seems to be referencing faith in that Jesus is the Son of God. I do not know how someone is justified by simply having faith in believing Christ is the Son of God. The devils believe as much, but aren't saved.
