That word covenant is strange to me.

Oil is one matter, and wine is another as far as I can see.

And yes, I worship in spirit and truth.
The Truth as foundations of the earth.
"Blessed are the meek........."

All promises are dear to my heart.
And instruction is a subject best administered individually.

Remember what the two disciples asked and what answer they recieved.

I posted elsewhere about the distinction between baptisms.
Inheritance. We inherit all that He is if we will believe. The new covenant is not as the old. It's a will. And faith is substance but not in the natural realm. Where Father exists. And from there He responds to us here.

I think I know what two disciples you are referring to. That was before His resurrection. .

I grew up on these teachings. Am sure they are new to most. But, I think I see your heart. So don't take what I said as an insult. Wasn't meant to be at all.

The Torah is Truth.
The five foundations.
A scroll with seven seals.

As for oil and wine our Lord intercedes and his Holy Spirit wonderfully counsels.

Generations of tender dreams held delicately in patient waiting.

Blessings Always

to balance it out, here is a pretty short clip on what Jesus was really saying regarding 'gods'

Thanks Bill.

I appreciate you taking the time to view it. :)

WOF teachings are not new to me. You, as a WOF follower, are claiming promises that aren't promises God has made in the Bible.

found this little gem while reading an article this am and it is so appropriate for this thread

Those who twist Scripture will twist any or all of the Bible, but they will often base their teachings on an obscure or problematic text.

eh? doesn't that just perfectly describe what WOF has done with what Jesus said regarding 'gods'?

well, they basically do the same with whatever catches their fancy

A lesson a person will learn from experience in walking with the Lord as iyov(job) has..

The enemy will accuse a person of what they have contrived.

I don't follow WOF teachers. I follow a ministry but not of this movement as it is known. But, I sat under a faith in the Word ministry for about 6 yrs over 20 yrs ago. They were not of Peter Wagners group or any of these ministries. Then I left and began visiting many other ministries. The Word church didn't flow in gifts other than tongues.

I believe we get promises individually, and prophecies through the prophets. Don't label me. I don't carry anyone's banner but that of Yeshua ha Meshchiah.

If you have ever experienced the Lord, the power of His Word and Spirit moving together in a meeting, or even privately in your own closet, you would repent of your unbelief. For that is what this is. The Word spoken in faith is the word of faith.

I dont adhere to parroting scripture. Inspiration.

You defend and believe WOF teachings so that makes you a follower of WOF. And it appears you are one of those Hebrew Roots followers too? That figures.

That's why I have a thread on "Ye are gods...". If people would simply take the time to examine the context of that phrase and then see how and why Jesus applied it, there would be no misunderstanding. However, many false Christianities believe that Christians will become "little gods".

I told what I believe. I can't understand any believer not knowing that the Word of the Lord is Spirit and life.

Is why I ask you again. Is Jesus your Lord?

Im married to a Jew. Neither of us are Hebrew roots. His parents weren't practicing Jews. They were of the arts world, and knowledge was what they followed. However, his father, a popular artist, well know in the North East, was born again before he died.

My husband being Jewish doesn't mean Messianic.

I don't know what Copeland teaches, but we know from scripture, and life experiences that spoken words matter. They are creative, to good or evil.

Yes spoken words do matter as stated in Matthew 12:37: For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

At the same time our words should not be used as "incantations". We are simply to make our requests known unto God as instructed in Scripture and in the Lord's Prayer. What WOF does is makes words into incantations.

An incantation or enchantment is a charm or spell created using words. An incantation may take place during a ritual, either a hymn or prayer, and may invoke or praise a deity. In magic, occultism, shamanism, and witchcraft it is used with the intention of casting a spell on an object or a person. The term derives from Latin "incantare", meaning "to chant upon," from in- "into, upon" and cantare "to sing".

Jesus is my Lord, but what He is not is my dog who obeys my commands (spoken words).

I know and maybe you saw my comment about being saddened by some of the responses?

just read another two posts...one thinking Jesus is one of many of God's sons and another that indicates the writer is devoid of understanding

it started in this thread about WOF and any thread about WOF will contain this abject belief that Jesus calls believers little gods...and WOF teachers seem to just go into so many areas of error that you can't keep up with it

you are left wondering where truth is taught anymore

I am also wondering at this point, if this is now being taught outside of WOF...and becoming a more common belief with some or perhaps people who don't go to church but pick up this here and that there and frequent youtube preachers, deciding that is something they can believe

This isn't worthy of you Nehemiah. While we disagree on some things, scripture truth in our heart and then spoken is not incantations. Why even memorize the scriptures. Or don't you?

Actually, the Word, the living Word is within.

Indeed, the sword of the spirit is The Word of God. It's our primary weapon. That's a thoroughly Biblical principle. It isn't used as incantations are in witchcraft.
