It is probably a good idea, practice, to always think in terms of Jesus speaking, teaching the Gospel to the Jews that He would be speaking in Hebrew, some would argue Aramaic, the lingua franca at the time.
In the Temple it is certain He would have spoken Hebrew while dealing with the scribes, Pharisees, Priests etc, otherwise they would have "nailed Him" with a v alid accusation of bringing in a language of teh nations. It is most likely He always spoke Hebrew when teaching no matter when or where.
With this in mind, and the meaning of the Hebrew words much is clarified easily, but if we do not recognixze we are sons of Abraham, we prob ably cannot understand this principle.
