Musicus has already posted some evidence. Must I plaster occult literature all over this thread to prove something that is so easily proven with an internet search? It is OK Dino your refusal to answer is all the evidence we need.

It may not be you at all. ( I was just noticing your user name.) There was a fellow who was recently making posts about the number 37 and the KJV with loads of calculations.

What Musicus provided was a critical review of The Message and a few comments about Peterson. There is nothing in his link which supports your assertion that Peterson is promoting witchcraft, or that there is any link between the occult use of the phrase in question and Peterson's use of it.

Your latter sentence employs an ad hominem attack on me. It's fallacious, and I would have thought it's beneath you.

This is correct. Peterson neither admits or denies that he knew the phrase was a popular one in the occult before he used it himself. I think he just heard it somewhere and thought it sounded good, at least that's the impression he gives for how he worded most of his version. It appears he didn't give too much critical thought, prayer, or scholarly research into his wording, that he wrote it on a whim. I see no evidence of even sneaking witchcraft or such in there, just ignorance on Peterson's part.

The word “occult” means secret or hidden. Something that is meant to be concealed. The Bible is not some comic book that can be so carelessly handled.

I think you should read some other translation. It seems to me that you simply do not understand what the text of the KJV says.

I don't disagree with your post here, but for all your carrying on, you still have not offered a single yod in support of your assertion regarding Peterson's intent to introduce witchcraft. It's time to retract it.

Retract what? The fact that the phrase is of the occult? Peterson did introduce witchcraft whether he intended to do it or not! Why would I retract a fact that is so easily proven. I am willing to lay the argument to rest if you wish and we can just agree to disagree.

All things will be revealed in their due season. Do a simple word study of all forms of the word reveal in the Bible. As far as the number 37 and the Scripture is concerned it was shown to others in the Hebrew and Greek years ago so it is not necessarily mine.
