Hi Devotion!
Great thread topic.
Your question reminded me of one of my favorite Christmas songs, "The Little Drummer Boy."
If you're not familiar with the song, it's about a boy who is invited to go see the newborn baby Jesus, along with others who are "bringing their finest gifts" to give to Him.
The little boy laments that, "I am a poor boy, too... (Oh rum pum pum pum...) I have no gift to bring, that's fit to give our King... (Oh rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum", because the boy just can't stop playing on his drum.
And so, determined to find his own way to give a gift to the King of kings, the boy tells us that, "I played my drum for him, Oh rum pum pum pum... I played my best for him, Oh rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum..."
"Then... He smiled at me. Oh rum pum pum pum. Me... and my drum."
I first heard that song when I was maybe 7 years old.
And that last line STILL gives me goosebumps every. single. time.
I am sure that God has a smile for you as well, in response to how much you have given of yourself to worship Him. God bless, and keep on playing!
