did you have a bad experience with women, is that why you fight so hard for this "sit down and shut up" philosophy towards women?
I have a bad experience with women when they mock the Bible and blatantly disregard scripture ... Any Christian should have a problem with that and stand up for what the Bible says ... If people can't stand up for what it says then what are they doing calling themselves Christian ? ... If these people would just listen, they could actually receive some help, but they are too rebellious to even let anyone help them ...

I just received the question from one of my friends, What is the best explanation to this?

1Ti 2:11-14
(11) Women should listen and learn quietly and submissively.
(12) I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly.
(13) For God made Adam first, and afterward he made Eve.
(14) And it was the woman, not Adam, who was deceived by Satan, and sin was the result.

Is there a mixup of the Jewish culture and christianity?
Why do you feel a need to "explain" it?

Just accept it.

Your crusade seems to be solely focused against rebellious women... seems to be a bit predatory to me.

No one is mocking the bible. And you're not even speaking about the original topic, soooo...

Women ARE allowed to talk in church. Whether they're allowed to be preachers, is another matter entirely.

This is what happens when there is no woman to keep him in line.

There is not a single verse in the bible that teaches that a woman cannot have a testimony and a witness for Christ. Women are not to pastor churches but they have a mighty ministry in leading souls to Christ.

For the cause of Christ

I never once stated a woman could not lead a soul to Christ ... Did you not hear me say women are just as valuable to God and society as men are ... No, you only hear what you want to hear and you block everything else out because you prefer to argue about something ...

It wouldn't have gotten mentioned if you gals weren't complaining about the scripture ... You women are the most rebellious women on here ... Pretending to be Christian, yet never wanting to hear a bit of the truth ...

Don't you ever get sleepy...? :)

The ONLY one arguing here, is YOU... If they are of value to God and society outside the church, they can be the same IN church.

but the earth came to her rescue, the ground opened up and swallowed the river that the dragon had spewed from his mouth [Rev 12:16]

I have NOT been complaining about scripture. What about you? YOU'RE sounding rather rebellious yourself. And no one is pretending to be Christian.. You blather on about whether women can speak in church or not. That's not the topic of this thread. The topic is whether women can be PREACHERS. Not whether they can conversate with other church goers.
This was all began by you women when one of you falsely stated that I said you needed a mediator to speak to God ... So, I told you what I really said, which was that you were to only do that in church, by mediating through your husband later if you had any questions, which is precisely what the Bible says ... You women started this conversation, it wasn't me ...

1 Corinthians 14:33-35 [SUP]33[/SUP]For God is not a God of disorder but of peace-as in all the congregations of the LORD's people. [SUP]34[/SUP]Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. [SUP]35[/SUP]If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

Does that sound like women are allowed to talk in church ? .. Not according to God they aren't ... If you want to get your rules from society then you can do whatever you want ...

That is your rule ... That is not God's rule ... If you want to follow your own rules then fine do so ...

They ARE of value in the church, they are just not to speak in the church ... Why do always have to twist the words around ? ..

Don't worry folks, I'm leaving this site soon and you won't have to bother with me any more ... It is more of a social club anyway at certain times than people actually spreading any truth ... Many good people on here AND many others just trolling to start a fight ...

Then tell us HOW they are of value in the church, if they're supposed to be mute and not speak?

Oh no you don't. :D

Here is what you said:
1TIM 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Women are not mentioned in that scripture ...

the scripture clearly declares man the head of woman

You have clearly ignored addressing it every time I brought up what you said. You do not now get to finally decide to address it with backpedaling. Handle it with integrity.

Well, that philosophy doesn't exactly equate because it also says Christ is head of man ... So, are you saying Christ and man are of the same authority too ? ...
Man is a outward representive of a glory not seen.We walk by faith, the unseen eternal Not by sight after that seen the temporal

The Father and the Son of God, not seen are represented by the Son of man seen. It makes up what we call the image of God (Mankind) the woman was taken out of man as part of the whole (one creation).

Adam who is used to represent the Son of man did not faithfully convey the commandment not to eat to the woman. It would seem he added “thou shall not touch”. In touching it they both died. The eating of the forbidden fruit showed God had sent them a strong delusion to believe the lie. The same kind of strong delusion he sends when a man looks with lust. they have already committed adultery in their hearts.

This was before he brought forth woman the better half to cure loneliness.

There is no loneness in the Godhead. Jesus as the Son of man said the father and I are one. Not will become one but were always one.

Again women did not hear the commandment of God, she was trusting in her representative head as that seen, Adam

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Gen 2:15

Christ is the invisible head of man seen just as he was with the Son of man.(My food is to do the will of the father).

Because the time of reformation had come new ceremonial laws were brought into the new government. Some of them have all been passed off as fashion statement for that time period. In doing so much has been lost in the area of when men and women gather together to worship God.it would seem part of the cerimoinal law was kept the breaking of bread, or at least in most cases

Note.... (purple in parenthesss) my own opinion

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, "as I delivered them to you". But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.(not seen)But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and (representtitive)glory of God: but the woman is the(representtitive) glory of the man.For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her:(not of her) for her hair is given her for a covering. But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. 1Co 11:1

Ultimately in the end of the matter it’s all about representative glories. The only glory to be seen is the veiled glory of God which will come as the wedding is consummated in the new heavens and earth.

As man represents the unseen head as a hidden glory. He is given a glory, the woman. She is not left without a representative glory of her own, her hair. The man with the uncovered head/hair. working with the woman that covers her head\hair again together represent the unseen glory of God.

The Muslims where the woman covers her hair at all times and not just during the ceremonial. This shows us what happens when men wish to rule over those who has a equal place with God. The Jewish un beleiving men that do cover their head shows they are not following the new cerimonial law .To them the veil must still be rent as if the time of reformation had not come they are still waiting at some wailing wall.....a form of idol worship.

Christianity elevated a woman to the proper use of her representative glory, her hair.
