MT 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

MT 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

MT 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

MT 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

MT 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

MT 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

MATTHEW 5:19 above describes how faith alone can permit entrance into heaven "in the least", while explaining that faith along with abiding by the law will permit entrance into heaven "at the greatest". So, if one wishes to be the least in heaven, then they can have faith and disregard law, but if one wants to enter heaven in the greatest way then they must have faith AND follow the law.

Honestly, I'm going to let dccon deal with this.

How on earth can you claim scripture is "my opinion" ?. It is not my opinion, by any means. Why do you ridicule someone so much for choosing to side with what the scripture says ? Makes no sense why a Christian would bash somebody for suggesting the word of God is correct and wanting to go by it. You are right, I am not God and it is ludicrous to suggest that I ever claimed any such thing simply by passing along His word.

We Preach Christ the Holy Spirit nothing to do with male or female. It his word we preach.

You are offering your opinion of what you think the scriptures are in forming us. Called a private interpretations. Nothing more and nothing less. There is no daysman as a infallible umpire between God and man on earth. The Pope has aleady claimed that position.

There is only one good teacher not seen .Just as we are not to calll no man on earth we are not to call no man good teacher on earth. One is in heaven .Even the Son man did not made not claims as you are making. When called good teachr he replied only God is good.
WRONG. It was not I speaking of the law concerning men and women. I posted the word of God and it was HE speaking of what HE expects from men and women. My opinion is not put forth when I post scripture. That is the word of THE ALMIGHTY, it is not my word.

The law commanded circumcision. Paul said circumcision was nothing and commanded against it. Circumcision wasn't a least commandment, but was the foundational commandment of the old covenant, for no one was a member of the covenant without it.

Is Paul least in the kingdom of heaven? What say ye, teacher?

I am not to say where Paul is in heaven. That is up to God to decide. I just posted the scripture and all I can tell you is that it does not lie. Don't ask for me to confirm or question scripture. God has already confirmed it HIMSELF.

C'mon man, show a little integrity and stand by what you preach, or shut your yapper. Either give us an unambiguous answer what to do, or stop sowing confusion.

I advised you of what to do: Have faith and follow and teach God's laws. Exactly as described in Matthew 5:19. If you do those 3 things scripture guarantees you a "great" entrance into heaven.

1 vs 17 - Jesus fulfilled it. Why? Because you have not (and never will)
2. vs 18 - As long as their are non believers who need the TUTOR to lead them to Christ, the law will always have a purpose. The law was NEVER however made to show us how to be good. it was made to show us how SINFUL we are.
3. vs 19 - James said if we break even the least of the law. we are found guilty of the whole law. and are under a curse. Do you keep the law perfectly? if not your cursed. and NO ONE, I mean NO ONE is hear telling people it is OK to break commands. Get off your high horse dude,
4. The pharisee was seen as people who never broke the law (as written) even paul (A pharisee as saul) claimed he was found innocent concerning the law

Phil 3: [SUP]5 [/SUP]circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; [SUP]6 [/SUP]concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

Paul is saying a fact, He was blameless according to the law. This is the standard Christ said we must excede if we are to see God on our OWN MERIT.

5. vs 21 and 22 is jesus proving to you the law is insufficient in showing you how to be righteous. By the law. Paul was innocent of committing murder. But by reality, If paul was ever angry at his brother without cause broke that command.

6. No the above does not say that at all. You are way off base man.

He is saying those who follow God WILL by practice obey the commands (we do this because we follow the law of love, which will never break the law) the issue is we do not love 100% as God did. so we will never be perfect thus we will always be under a CURSE apart from the cross. Jesus, who because a curse for us, because the law condemns us.

Dude the law condemns you, that is all it can do. why are you followin ga law which can ONLY condemn you and LYING to yourself that you follow it?

He was not speaking of the letter in Mtw 5:19. If so, paul disagreed with Him.

If you want to earn your salvation by following the law. You better be perfect. Because if your not. Your not going to be happy on judgment day, You can throw your works at God all you want. he will say depart from him, for he never knew you.

it is not faith plus the law. It is the law BRINGING us to faith. (a tutor to lead us to christ)

he never commanded against it, He said it was not necessary. HUGE difference. (you need to study gal 3. when paul specifically said those who try to add circumcision to grace was to be anathema'd.)

Or to put it another way, those who try to add law to: by grace through trust were to be anathema'd.

I ask: How can anyone demonstrate faith if they purposely disregard God's laws ? And if they are not purposely disregarding God's laws, then they are trying to go by them. And this is not changing any subject of this thread as one of those laws is that "women are not to preach in the church". So, one either keeps that commandment or they do not. Not keeping that law is clearly going against both JOHN 14:15 AND MATTHEW 5:18.
"Women are not to preach in the church" is not a "law" at all; it's not in Scripture anywhere. Don't quote non-Scripture and imply that it is Scripture when in fact it is merely your interpretation, which nobody is bound to follow.

I never once have stated that i follow the law perfectly. Never have I nor ever will I make such a statement. What I have said is that I "try" to follow the law. Very much different from your false accusation.

The law does not condemn anyone to death that repents and asks for forgiveness of the Father. The law provides a sound blueprint of how one is best to live his/her life. Of course, no one is perfect so we all are going to make mistakes along the way. That is why to repent. I would never recommend that anyone disregard the law altogether and only rely upon faith to enter Heaven. Even if faith alone will gain you entrance, which is debatable by viewing some scripture, not following the law will make a person's life worse and it will not provide a good example for others. Matthew 5:19 explains the best thing to do.

The problem has been from the beginning, a letter vs. spirit, or works plus faith issue.
He preaches obedience of the letter of the law, no matter what topic he's on in any thread.
It's why he keeps running into problems here.
