You misunderstand. She was allowed to prophesy and bring souls unto Christ "outside" the church. She was not allowed to become a preacher "inside" the church. This is what the scripture says.
They were instructions for worship. That means INSIDE the church.

So, what you are saying is that you never sin anymore ? You go all day every day and commit not a single sin. Is that what you are claiming ? Just answer this so I can know exactly where you stand.

John said those those who are born of God can not live in sin (the greek shows a habitual living in sin) he who practices sin has never seen God or known him, you can not do both, you must be one or the other, there is no inbetween

do you agree with him or not?

Stop it man, You said the ten commands teach us morality.

I did not even say the word law in the post you responded to. So you are trying to deceive, keep it up man, and you will join many other deceivers.. I do not play childish games. I do not care how old you think you are.
I am not deceiving anybody. Yes, I said the 10 commandments teach us morality and they do. I never they teach us "all" morality. That was a false assumption you made because you don't listen closely.

No it does not. Paul asked them not to do it in one city because of the culture. and 1 cor 11. no place does it say it is only outside of church. NO PLACE..

Study history man.

Nope, Specific instructions were given that no women were allowed to be preachers in the church. Are you claiming this is not a real verse I am posting ?

1 Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

lol..

How can the ten commands teach us morality if they are incomplete? Why did jesus have to correct the jews who thought they obeyed the ten commands, and show them they were in error. if it could teach us morality.

This is what you responded to. thius is the context of our discussion. The only one being deceptive here is you.

You failed to answer my simple question. Are you claiming that you go all day every day and never commit any sins ?

Have I ever said this? What a joke man. I just posted all this stuff that said if we do not follow the law to the T we are guilty and condemned as sinners, and you want to ask me if I sin.

John never spoke of a person being sinless. Why can you not get that into your head? Your question has no bearing because it does not direct what the passage says.

Why do I need christ? BECAUSE I SIN

Why is the law useless? BECAUSE IT CAN NOT SHOW ME HOW NOT TO SIN, it can ONLY CONDEMN ME

does this sound like a person saying he is sinless

Your the one who better be without sin my friend. Because if your not, the law condemns you, Period.

Can anyone in this room look at what I said an think I ever have said I am sinless??

1 John 1: 8, If we say we have no sin, we decieve ourselves and there is no truth in us

Did John contradict himself by saying we can not be sinless. and later say a child of God never sins?

You need to stop listening to history teachers and pay attention to what the Bible actually says.

Where does it say this only applies to one community or one church ? Where ? It doesn't say that in the BIBLE. Those are only your words. The Bible says "churches". It does not say just these churches or just those churches.

1 Cor 11

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

These are instructions for worship not witnessing to the unconverted.

Earlier you stated you believed this: Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him

So, if you now say you sin, then you must be saying you don't abide in Him. Because earlier you said those who abide in Him do not sin. So, who is the deceiver here ?. You can't have it both ways. You can't say the one who abides in him never sins, then say you sin yet you abide in Him. That is a complete contradiction of yourself.

Those verses have nothing to do with preaching in a church.

It’s evident that no one is going to change his/her mind on this topic.

Some believe a woman can preach. Others don’t.

Agree to disagree.

Move on.

You need to stop listening to men and listen to what the people it was origionally written to would have thought.

women speak up and teach in my church, and god blesses us amazingly, if they were sinning, then god would punish us, not bless us.

wake up man

I really don't know what you people's problem with me is. I admitted to being a sinner as we all are. I told you it was best to have faith and also try your best to follow God's commandments. I showed specifically where women are not to preach within the church. ALL TRUE. So, what is your argument ?

If your purpose is to discourage women and girls from attending church, you're doing a GREAT job! Congratulations! God bless you and enjoy your "great entrance into heaven".

A church has free will to do and preach as they choose, just as a person has free will to do as he/she chooses. Simply because your church does something does not condone itself by scripture. There are churches that have homosexuals as preachers also, that does nothing to not qualify that as a sin.

Yeah, if they are not allowed to participate they mind as well stay home as the church is a men's only club.
