Why must you go to the extreme when trying to justify not believing the word of God? Do you think that God was ever like this?
One could say your the one going to the extreme.

She absolutely believes in the Word of God. The point she was making and was not addressed is not all women have husbands.
You can't keep women shackled to cursed living to make yourself feel religious and superior.

1 Corinthians 14, 1 Timothy and Ephesians 5 is in the word of God. It is truth when it was written, and it is truth now. When did it stop being truth?

Again, I hear a lot of groaning about the passages but none are offering an explanation of their view point on those passages.

He lost my respect some time ago by his promotion of the KJVO cult. And his insistence that The Holy Spirit should be quenched. The man is a Pharisee. He is quick to reprimand and admonish anyone with a different doctrinal position than his but I've rarely if ever, noticed him offer encouragement to other Christians.

well...I guess I was late to the awakening then

does happen sometimes...guess it also depends on what threads you write

Do I think God was ever like what?
Women not usurping authority over men in the church. Women being silent in the churches as stated in 1 Corinthians 14. Wives submitting to their own husbands as to the Lord.

God gave a wife to a man as a help meat, he did not tell her to shut up, they were to become one, man may have been given the responsibility so he is held to a higher standard, but any man that does not allow a woman to speak into his life, and listen to her guidance is a fool.

In my household we have equal say, if we can not come to an agreement, we figure god has not blessed it, so we do not do it.

That has happened maybe twice in the last 12 years, since we pray and seek gods will, most of the time, we come to an agreement, and even prayer f we are not 100%, we love each other enough to give in on things which will not hurt us, or bring us down.

He does not understand the very point james tried to make.

James 2:9-11 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,”[a] also said, “Do not murder.”[b] Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

while he tries to be a better law keeper than the one in sexual, sin, his sin makes him just as guilty, instead of judging the sinner, he should be welcoming the sinner into his family with open arms. Because he is just as guilty, and just as dependant on grace as the sexual sinner who finds christ and now in search of healing.

I haven't seen if people brought up James already in response to his pontificating

perhaps he is someone who does not think James belongs in the Bible? like some think?

prob doesn't matter anyway though since he is missing quite a bit from I Corinthians

Sadly his rhetoric is to familiar, but i am not sure what denominational stand he is from, i know a few have asked, he has not answered.

Good question though. Makes you wonder.

What does Ephesians 5 have to do with the topic? That is simply explaining the "order" of things.. What could that possibly have to do with a woman teaching?

I suppose I could go verse by verse, giving my understanding of it, but it's really pretty simple to read and understand. It says nothing about this thread's main question.

I thought this is what the whole discussion is about. Women pastors, teachers and such. Am I wrong?
Well just keep groaning then.
Or you could read the thread instead of claiming the same questions haven't been answered again and again.

You're absolutely right. Women are allowed to teach...other women within the church assembly. Women can preach the gospel to lost people.
