"If the blind lead the blind surely they shall fall into the ditch together",no thanks I'll follow the bible in whole "not portion" and be "open to learning" and not think of the bible as "plain or simple" always keeping in mind that the Holy spirit can teach truth of scriptures if one gets self out of the way that is.

Please go back and read the whole of the letter

and understand it was the issues that came first that caused Paul to write these letters
Paul wasn't laying down ground rules so as to avoid the possibilities of the calling outs, they were already happening

both the sisters and brothers were corrected about it

Your assumption as to why the verses were written holds no water. If 1 Corinthians 14:34-14:35 were written to correct both "brothers" and "sisters" then explain why only the women were instructed to be silent and not the men. If "both" were being corrected, as you say, would it not make sense for "both" of them to be mentioned ?

You mean won't do what "you say", pretty much everytime you declare to be upholding God's word then you direct the conversation back to yourself and your knowledge and that someone must agree with your take on things otherwise it is an error on the other person's part you are no different than all the other "egotistical" I'm right type people we have had before,unwavering on what you believe yet expecting everyone else to just up and agree with you because you will not "accept correction" because you are "uninterested" with what others have to say,here we call that "troll behaviour" because it is "not fellowshipping" and not "fruitful" to learning God's word.

There are several. Most avoid this discussion.

This is my opinion, supported by my personal interpretation of most of the scriptures used in this discussion to date. I believe that women are not to pastor (lead) a church. I also believe that the office of deacon should be married males. I can see no reason to prevent a woman (called to do so) from preaching to a congregation. Where the congregation uses the title of deacon sole as a servant of the congregation, I have no problem with women being elected to do so.

The reason I ask is because Pontiac requested his account be deactivated a week ago and you joined right after he left. You use the exact same style of writing with the redundant ellipsis (...) between fragmented sentences. And you're posting almost word for word the comments he made and throw the word feminism around like Pontiac, too. Your main intent day after day, day & night on this site has been to preach AT women and condemn them, as was his intent.

I’m not trying to needle you, brother. I’m just pointing out that you’ve got 270+ comments (in 6 days) ridiculing women in ministry. Jesus didn’t even condemn the woman caught in the act of adultery. If Jesus didn’t condemn a woman caught in sex sin, why would He command you to condemn women preaching His salvation and discipling folks for Christ all over the world? How about all the missionary women everywhere preaching the gospel and being tortured and killed for Christ. Do you condemn them, too? Were they to keep silent because you say so? Don’t you see the perversity in that?

How does a woman lead a soul to Christ without preaching the gospel to that soul? Mental telepathy?

Of value, how? Do you expect women to just stand around silently and look submissive?

By the way, the early church was held in homes. Some of the homeowners were women. Which means some women held church in their homes. Do you think these women just stood around silently? Or do you think they actually led church and discipled folks for Christ?

Women are not mentioned in that scripture, you say? Actually, they are. Where it says “men” in that verse you quoted, that is the Greek Word ἄνθρωπος which translates to “person”, human being, male or female. God calls His people the “new man”. Male and female.

I could quote scripture till the cows come home. The fact is, you judge women according to the flesh. God calls us a new creation, new man, just like you. We are spiritual beings, no longer of this world. You and a few other guys here want to categorize women as something different than what God has called us. Jesus Christ called us to go to the whole world to preach the gospel. You’re telling us not to. You don't see a problem with that?

I truly believe you have intense struggles in your life, and are mixed up. I think you're heartbroken and weary. Rather than breaking before the Lord and calling out for Him to help and heal your heart and mind, you’re trying to compensate by correcting (fault finding in) others. That’s what people do sometimes when they’re weak and heavy hearted. They get preoccupied with doing some religious thing so they don’t have to deal with it. It keeps you from having to surrender your control to God and admit defeat in your flesh. I pray in Jesus’ name you stop running in circles, fall to God in abandon and find your rest in Him.

Ya know, I can hardly believe Christians walking in the Lord for many years are still holding onto the philosophies of the world.

What word don't they understand in II Corinthians 5:16 -

“From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.”

If Jesus who walked this earth is no longer regarded in the flesh, but is now the Resurrected Lord, and we who were also crucified with Him and resurrected (born again) by His Spirit and are now a “new man”, spiritual saints, vessels of honor, why would we go back to the old self of the world, the flesh?

Seriously, how are they missing that?? Evidently they are leaning on their own understanding and not trusting in the Lord will all the heart and not believing women are resurrected in Christ as spiritual beings.

Interesting to word it that way...because I do listen and pay attention to what God's will is for me and what He is calling me to do.

It's not my authority this is what the word of God has to say. The problem is people do not want to accept this idea because of the time that we are living and the time of when the Bible was written. That is to say two different eras and so now this does not apply to us.

Again, here we go with language from the world, according to the outward, the worldly sense. Not walking by faith (by the Spirit), but by sight. Not trusting in God's Spirit, but your own understanding.

You’re talking about “women” as in the earthly, bodily sense? Not as saints in Christ? Not as new creations, the new man?

You're also talking about an organized church, a building, not a spiritual church, not the literal body of Christ Jesus. And what kind of church might that be? Catholic church? Methodist church? Pentecostal church? Presbyterian church? Nondenominational church? Assemblies of God? Lutheran church? Which church is right, because they all hold various beliefs and traditions? How do you determine who is right and who is wrong? Which pastor is right? Who is in error? And while we’re at it, do you attend a church organization that is following every letter of the law and not erring in any way? If not, why are you still a part of those believers? I thought we were supposed to come out from among those living according to the outward man?

Do you see how ridiculous it is to acknowledge God and His saints by the outward man? By worldly standards? To believe a building and its rules & regulations hold more value than the church Jesus is building not made with human hands? The people He died for and saved?

This is not language from the world, this is what the Bible has to say and yet all kinds of churches abuse this and say a woman can be a pastor, she can be a deacon, she can be a elder, but if they are going to listen to what the Bible has to say then they have to admit they are wrong but they will not listen to what the Bible has to say and yet they will continue on with their on set of ideas and beliefs which are contrary from the Bible God's word. I have clearly stated that women can proclaim the gospel but just not in a church.

By no means am I degrading women they are many aspects that a women can do that a man cannot do.

he is saying women are not allowed to speak when they are inside a church, you know such as when the prophet Anna was speaking in the Temple when Joseph and Mary dedicated Him. I sure hope the dedication of the Christ was legitimate being as a women was speaking when it was happening. lol
