I loaded the laundry into the dryer. Lots of stooping and lifting, and I'm pretty sure as a pregnant lady on partial bed rest I shouldn't have been doing this at all, but I was sick of bed and Jace was at work and wouldn't catch me at it. Of course, he'd probably realize the pile of dirty clothes had diminished and figure it out. Smart guy.
"I want you to go on bed rest for you and the baby both," the Dr. told me. "I think it will be a nice respite." Respite! He had a warped idea of what the word meant. Laying in bed, letting the house go to ruin around me was about as restful as listening to "This is a Song that Never Ends" 24/7.

Devin laid his head flat on the desk and droned. He was in the back, so the aptly-named Mr. Frankenstein took notice, engrossed in his own lecture on elephant anatomy (of all things).
Forcing his lids to half-way open, Devin combed the room for his catnip- Samantha. Looking at her was a kind of dreaming. She'd transport him to a galaxy where her status as top of the class didn't hold him back from thrusting a sword into the dragon's gullet to free her from an eternity of counting coins as golden as her hair.

The thought intrigued him for a brief moment- if there is a rainbow below, wouldn't it stand to reason there's a world below as well? Would that world and his be somehow related? Could somebody from that world ever pay him a visit?
He liked visitors a great deal. Always took joy in welcoming them after a hard day's journey over the mountain.
Alas, the stars began to rise and he had neither the time nor the heart for more idle consideration of cosmology or life on other worlds. The Tiger had commissioned him to chop down a few unruly trees and the Tin Man had a reputation for timeliness he wouldn't think of harming.

The Dwarves were very happy with the invention of Ewoks. Finally, they could invite over friends without constantly apologizing for the size of the furniture or reminding them not to bump their heads! Finally, they could go to their friends' houses without needing a ladder to get on to their chair. A place where the blender, plates, spoons, stove, mixer, glasses and chairs were all the right size. Why, you may ask, did they not stay together then, if this was such an happy arrangement? My friends, it is simple. The Ewoks were democrats, and they kicked the poor dwarf republicans out. It was always thus.

The young llama farmer let out a tired sigh. Once again, his llama, Dolly, was refusing to eat because of her chronic abomasum inflammation. He whipped out his smartphone and tweeted, "OMG feeling so attacked rn," punctuating the end of his tweet with an octothorpe attached to the words "llamadrama". He then pulled out a bassoon and began playing it on his way to the apothecary, which he knew would have what he needed to soothe his afflicted llama's stomach. Halfway there, however, he became distracted by a ruckus on the side of the road. What could be happening? He rushed to the crowd, only to find that the world-famous fingerboarder Toni Lark saw putting on a show with his iconic finger board.
