you continue to falsely accuse me
i dont know if you think thats love
but i can assure you it is not
anyways you asked
and i replied
if you dont like my answer that i did indeed give to your question
and seem to wrongly assume i did so for others approval
maybe stop your false accusations against one of Gods children and actually talk
ok
ill try again
i wont add too much scripture which you keep trying to admonish me for posting
you > "can you express in YOUR words what you think the commandments of Jesus really mean and how we keep them?"
Matthew 22:36-40
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
i believe this mean to put God first before all things
at all times in love
every moment of every day
and i believe to love our neighbor as ourself
is to want the best for them to the point of sacrifice
(which is why i posted the verses i posted that support this)
and how we "keep" them?
well we examine ourself and pray constantly to see if we are walking according to the spirit
and our performance in this i believe represents how fruitful we are as His children
really?
a disagreement only becomes a lack of love when one person HIDES behind what they say they believe
I did not admonish you for posting scripture. I asked you to answer which is not the same as posting a wall of text
posting a wall of text is what I can read for myself; asking someone for an answer is asking the person about their understanding or thoughts. that is not an admonishment and it would help if you stop flinging up remarks trying to indicate you are under some sort of attack simply because someone disagrees with the usual verbage used to defend OSAS ESPECIALLY since I never mentioned it at all
I doubt you can correct anyone on this forum regarding love when no one is perfect in love here. we striving for what follow...the Bible calls it contending for the faith. as you cannot seem to grasp what it is I am addressing, you are hardly in a place of correcting me
I object to the use of the word performance as we are not graded
I don't find fault with what you are saying, worded in your own understanding, but what I am trying to get across here, is that the love Jesus speaks of is the fulfillment of the 10 commandments
and how we "keep" them?
well we examine ourself and pray constantly to see if we are walking according to the spirit
and our performance in this i believe represents how fruitful we are as His children
this is not so. the ONLY way we can begin to address what Jesus says, is being filled with the Holy Spirit and in obedience to what is revealed through what Jesus says and what Paul and the other writers of the NT flesh out in correction and deeper understanding
we cannot love as Jesus commands anymore than we can keep the commandments for righteousness
that is what I am saying
that is why we have the Holy Spirit; that is why Jesus told His followers to WAIT...not get ahead
it's not a performance issue at all. we are not under judgement
thank you for answering
