This would probably be a great question to ask me in another 6 months.

Hmmm, I don’t know if I’d do “anything” for love, like I wouldn’t jump off a cliff or commit suicide for that person, you know?

That's good to know. God already made lemmings for that.

I remember listening to that on 8-track, as a child in the Ghetto(that's what we called the project we lived in).

As most of us know, Tommy was shipped with an entire flock of women in The Shipping Thread, and it looks like he is trying to woo them one-by-one. :)

We already know that you'll write a thread that'd dedicated to your Special Gal. But it takes more than just a little sweet talk to win a lady's hand. So it seems only natural to ask the question that's obviously on everyone's mind:

Tommy, What Would You Do For Love?

For instance, would you:

1. Eat a salad. (All those steaks you eat are going to be jealous.)

2. Wear a Man Bun. (You've told us you have silver hair, so you could just call it The Silver Globe instead of The Silver Streak.) :)

3. And finally... Would you wear a pair of tights and stand outside a balcony while reciting love poems, kind of like this guy (after all, Mr. Darcy ain't got nothin' on you):

The whole forum is dying to know, How Far Will The Tomminator Go In Order to Win His Lady Love???

And for everyone else :):

* What is something that you normally wouldn't do, but have done, for love?

* What is something you were asked to do, but didn't do for love?

* What is something you still haven't done... for love?

* What is something you would still never do... for love?

The mood of the thread is meant to be light and comical, but serious answers and everything in between is welcome as well. Our married friends are more than welcome to post, because I'm sure they all have some good stories as to how they were able to win their beloved's heart.

And yes, I know that any minute now, Lynx and/or Zero is going to post the classic Meatloaf song, "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That.") :D

How about you? What will you, or won't you do--for love?
Actually, my first inclination was to post the Meatloaf song too but I will leave that to those that are musically inclined. Somehow I missed this thread and late to the party per usual. How in the world do you come up with this amazing stuff?

Oh my, oh my...reckon I’ll go first.

What’d I do for love? Dunno, but I can tell y’all about what I’ve done for love.

1) Moving to cold, dark and liberal Europe
2) Leaving the greatest state on earth
I would say that is sufficient. I moved to the cold dreary state of Maine for love and ended up alone with a broken heart.

Actually I was thinking of "What would you do for a klondike bar?"

But if you insist...

Klondike bars and love are somewhat similar in certain respects.

So does that mean you're going to set an alarm to remind you to pull up this thread as a zombie thread in 6 months. We know how much you like zombie threads and grave digging them and all.

I assume in 6 months I would be willing to do more.

Moved from Kentucky to Oklahoma for a summer, drove cross country to Florida before he had to leave to go back to Lebanon...

Drove to Apopka/Mt. Dora to meet my last love...broke every rule of dating, telling every bad thing I ever did in my life trying to chase off an interested party but it worked in my favor....

In my younger years pretended to be someone I wasn't trying to be an acceptable other half..Glad that never worked as it would have been hard being someone that I'm not my entire life.... Lucked out there....

I’m not Tommy, but I lost 100 pounds for love, but he rejected me anyway. I have since gained most of it back and am finding it very hard to lose since there is now no man in the offing. I guess I have to conjure up a future man in my imagination in order to get myself in shape. I admit, a part of me would like a smoking “revenge bod” to show him what he turned down.

Something stupid or crazy I guess. It is ok to be carefree once in a while besides love comes once in a lifetime.

Ya know this reminds me of an episode of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch where Sabrina's aunts make her a dream date out of "man dough"...too bad this doesn't work in real life because if it did, many people would be happy ;)

Lol, I have a plastic “perfect boyfriend” in a package somewhere my Mom gave me as a gag gift one year. He is only about two inches tall, so definitely not the ideal boyfriend.
