That's my reaction too. And my first thought was of the verses about a third of the water being made bitter...

I guess if there was an earthquake and some thought that there might be a tsunami, it could be towed away from the coast they currently have it on but...how fast can you tow that humongous thing...?

Ive not heard of this before but i suppose the only surprise is that
someone hasn’t come up with this idea before.

Wonder what the people who work on board, are suppose to do in
the event of an accident. Or what about ship wreak etc.

By the way there is lots on the internet that Chernobyl is the Russian
word for Wormwood. I don’t know if it’s true but I first heard it
on a natural history programme about the wildlife around Chernobyl
since that accident.

A floating nuclear plant? How can this be a good idea? I know it's not "Christian" news, but my gosh, is this wise?

UMMMM.....every Americn aircraft carrier, many subs and some cruisers carry and run off of Nuclear power plants....Most carriers have 2 and one or two have more than that.....If I remember right, when the tsunami hit Indonesia.....an American Aircraft Carrier pulled up to one city, hooked into their power grid and powered the city........

Yeah, but those nuclear powered vessels are self propelled so they can move out of harms way in the event of extreme rough seas. That monstrosity has to be towed by tug boats in which case it's a sitting duck in the event of a tsunami.

Yeah, that's the part of the story I focused on - no way to move it other than tow.

But as Once pointed out, THEY can motor themselves out of danger like a tsunami warning, etc. This behemoth is only going to move if you tow it. I'm not sure I think the submarines and aircraft carriers are a good idea either, but at least they can move themselves along...
