I beleive King Solomon said something "It would be better to go live in a cave than with a contentous Woman"
I wonder why he had contentious women? Maybe because he was a polygamist. I bet ol’ Sol wouldn’t have had harpies on his hands if he were married to only ONE woman. But Sol was a greedy one.

Yeah, but the guy had 700+ wives and hundreds of concubines. Perhaps he was a cave dweller.

No, he built that huge palace to get away from some of those contentious women. The reason why poor old Solly had so many proverbs about mean women, is because he had too many. As always, it is the man’s fault.

His Mama tried to tell him what was what in Proverbs 31, but he just had to have more than one woman.

If a woman is contentious, there is a good bet the man has made her so.

Yeah, he probably spent the dowry he got from marring all those rich broads on his concubines. No wonder they were cross with him.

I would venture to say most of them did NOT want to marry him or become his concubine. They probably could not stand Sol’s guts.

I personally am of the opinion that if you're not content as a single, you won't be content married either. Ya take yourself with ya. So, I enjoy my single life. Given my preference, I would be married, but I DO love God and everything He has given me in life, including at this time being single.

I find that there are two types of women who are comfortable/happy being single.... They are either 1) very well-put together, have their lives pretty much in order and have no real need for a man in their life or 2) are happy being single because they feel that men are more problems than they're worth..

I think you are in the first group. ;)

That seems like a fair assessment. And yes I would be in the first group. Though...I'd be more than willing to try being comfortable and happy with a man as well!! lol

You should set a bear trap, and bait it with bacon.

A person has to be comfortable with themself before they can expect anyone else to be comfortable with them. once one is comfortable alone they don't need someone else otherwise it's co-dependence, which is not love its a need.

But they're usually light hobbies like scrapbooking, knitting or reading. They're not quite as involved or obsessive as restoring a car or woodworking or setting up a home brewery or gun collecting...
I don't scrapbook, and I don't *really* knit. I do read. I also do woodworking, gun collecting, and help with the home brewery. I swear, I'm as straight as they come. I think you need to get up-to-date in the 21st century ;)

My mum is really into wine making; we make several kinds of wine and cordial each year. It's honestly really new for us, so we haven't gotten into anything more fancy yet.

But I'm pretty sure you're in the minority.. :sneaky: I think most women are scared of guns and spend most of their free time reading or watching HGTV or the Food channel.
