Recently, I read a devotion that was talking about being single. They said sometimes it might be part of God's plan has anyone felt this way in particularly to they way they are living life? For instance, I am 28 years old to be honest with you. I have never had a relationship (unless you can't kindergarten through second grade.) have never went out with any lady/women I like. I have ask the "crushes" the ladies/women I like in my past out, but just rejection plagues my thoughts and bars me from seeking a relationship with someone. Has anyone felt like that they are meant to be single and pass on God's message one way or another? Or are we not meant to be single? Meant to be married?
Thank you
Milo.

Marriage is never promised in the bible. Some attempt to twist Eve as evidence of marriage but in context that is never actually stated. It's just people applying meaning to scripture that doesn't exist.
I'm 42 and never married. No prospects and have enough working against me I don't foresee I ever will. The sooner you accept you aren't promised marriage the easier it will be.

Your choices become your destiny. Rejection is part of life. You also reject others sometimes, because we are free to choose the people we want in our lives so don't take it personally when others do it to you. Keep looking and don't wait for a miracle. You must make it happen.

It is better to ner be married than end up divorced... I have been divorced for 13 years.... Trust me 7 of those years was messing with my ex-husband... Finally divorced in my heart as well as on paper....

At Least wait and do not get married just to be married.... You are doing the the right thing!!!!

Hi Milo.

Prayer and patience goes along away. Some people I know got married in their 50s, 60s. Love may come to you unexpectedly, but we must have the faith and trust in God that He holds the plan for us, as it says in Jeremiah 29:11.

People I know say, “oh I’ll NEVER get married!” and next minute they’re planning their wedding, others I know say “I’m never gonna gave kids!” And next minute they’re pregnant.

We have plans, but remember God had The Plan.

All the best and praying for you.

God doesn't plan for anyone, if it is your desire to marry, you need to purpose it and you shall not fail.

That sounds so sad 🙁 I’m sure you have a lot of offer.

Even if you do remain single you are precious, valued and unique. No one else can fulfill your role like you do.

I appreciate that. It came at a good time.
But unfortunately not true.

You can choose to be married or unmarried.

but if you want to get married then start dating someone who has Godly character.

if you are a man then read Proverbs Chapter 31 to see what kind of characteristics a Godly woman has.

if you see that in one of your crushes then start dating her.

To be single has it's advantages. You can go wherever you are called. You can pray and worship out loud in every room at any hour as you feel the spirit. You can minister to both men and women.

But. Being single is lonely. The apostles were sent out two by two. God created Eve for Adam not to be alone. And Paul talks about that if you feel you are tempted to sin, it is better to be married.

28? You have plenty of time. And plenty of possible rejections ahead. But you just need one yes.

If you are meant to be single is between you and God. Pray. And seek Him. Follow Christ. And who knows who lingers behind the next curve.

The default is single.

Maybe people should consider if it’s God’s plan for them to marry,
especially with the high percentage or broken relationships.

I don't believe that there are many that were meant to be single but rather they are single because various circumstances, fear of rejection or commitment, etc. I don't believe that anyone is meant to be married either because that is a choice that is made. Ask God to help you in your fear of rejection and if you happen to meet a sweet single woman close to your age start a conversation with her and see where that leads.

I have a fear of rejection horribly, it causes me to not just miss out on opportunities of starting a relationships, but it is going to interviews, speaking my mind for the most part and so on. I am usually very well with people but it takes me awhile to open up to them.

The worse that will happen is that she will say no, that is something that you can certainly recover from in a few hours or days. To prep for an in-house interview I read "interviews for Dummies'. I was told that I aced the interview but unfortunately did not land the position. A few years later I landed an even better position.
