Like if I'm a regular at a church and happen to meet a girl that I like and I ask her out. Is it looked down upon to ask out a girl at church? What are your thoughts on this topic?

Why would it be looked down on? Are you a 68 year old guy and she's a 19 year old? Aside from a very large age discrepancy, I don't see any reason it would be looked down on.

You won't know if you don't try. If you ask her out she might say yes and you get a date or she might turn you down and you don't get a date. If you don't ask her out you don't get a date.

(DISCLAIMER: This message typed by a guy who has never even gone on a date before, so I could be wrong.)

I hope everyone is not going to think "Oh that guy is just here to hit on girls.". I'm 25 and I've never had a girlfriend, and I've only been on two dates.

I think many people on cc and all around have meet their spouse at a fellowship. Nothing wrong with that.

Now, if the ONLY purpose a person has in attending a fellowship is just to meet potential dates, then maybe someone will frown on it lol.

Those people who don't like it, can mind their own business.

Well that depends. If a girl is at my church just to find a date and she asks ME out... I wouldn't look down on that at all, not one bit, nope, nope.

Go to the church if you like the teaching and fellowship. If you feel at home in the church and find someone that feels at home in that church it is a bonus.

Whose opinion on this issue matters to you? Why does it matter? There will always be someone who looks down on you for seeking a relationship... anywhere.

I'm praying that I'll meet one. Theirs young adults at my church but the men outnumber the women 10 to 1.

I've never heard about it being looked down upon, especially if it's a place you have already been attending for awhile. Having a relationship with someone within the context of Christian community is a great way to go if it gets to that point. You are better off not asking her out in front of a bunch of people, though.
