oo

I think so too. That is one left-over that I don't mind eating. We have pot roast about every 4 months, with carrots, potatoes, onions and celery. My wife does a good job cooking this dish. She sears the meat before adding to the pan to bake. Makes a gravy with the juices. Yummy.

I sometimes throw in onions or mushrooms or substitute white potatos for sweet potatos and merinade mine overnite in salt pepper n A1 Steak sauce..richer flavor

Yeah, she adds mushrooms too. I enjoy them on pizza and fried or stuffed but not really in pot roast. I like that sweet potato idea, can cut one up and add to the veggies. Parsnips go well with pot roast too.

Tonight my daughter brought Taco bell. :cautious::rolleyes: yuck. But it was kind of her. I dislike fastfood. So does my stomach. Already marinating my steak for tomorrow. Gonna fire up the grill. now just got to figure out what I want to go with it.

Put those with a pasta salad n it "summer in your mouth" lol

I was on the road at suppertime, and stopped briefly for fuel and food. I managed to find the sloppiest, slipperiest cheeseburger sold in this province. It attacked my shirt and left evidence of the wounding. I'd say it tasted good, but the bun was grilled too long. Blackened chicken is a thing; blackened burger bun is not a thing. It had one redeeming attribute...

bacon.

I had sloppy joes n pasta salad..made a lasagna for lunch aftet church tomorrow..all ready to go..

Ahhhh..i had a bun with my sloppy joe..otherwise it would just be sloppy..lol

I had a sausage burger for breakfast. I know it's not supper, but supper is inconsequential... I had a slice of cheesecake for supper last night.

A sausage burger is about half a pound of sausage, cooked into a big ole patty, put on bread and dressed however you like a hamburger dressed. I prefer mustard, and I prefer whole wheat sourdough bread. And now I prefer a nap, but I gotta get ready and go to church instead.

Sounds tastey.

Cheesecake. It's not just for dessert anymore!

Wow..you made that all for 1 person? Impressive! :)
No, it was my son's birthday. but yes, if I am by myself, I will still cook myself a nice meal. I enjoy good food, and I like my cooking a lot better than most restaurants. Do you not cook nice meals for yourself?
