Only A Great God Could Redeem Us From All Iniquity.

Now how did He do this? He did it by the shedding of His Own Blood.

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7).

We don't know how much riches He has, but we know it's more than we can ever count. We are talking about this Blood redemption from all iniquity . . .

That's why when we teach the Gospel there in 1st Corinthians 15, the first four verses--we know that He died 'according to the Scriptures,' and I mentioned this before and I try to mention it all the time, to emphasize the blood part. Because a lot of people emphasize the death and say that you don't need the blood. But according to the Scriptures He died--so for me to go into the Gospels and read how He died--there was the shedding of blood and we know that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. So it's important to never forget about the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ--very important.

When you run into a cold spell with God and you can't feel His presence; you know that there is something separating you from Him. That is sin! You may not even know what it is. What can we do? I plead the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm not using it like a rabbit's foot. I believe that there is power in the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe it's enough to cleanse my consciousness from filthy works of the flesh. It allows me to serve God. To demote it or lower it and say it's just the death of Christ--you've got to watch out. Scripture with Scripture.

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us" (Hebrews 9:12).

I'd say that Blood is pretty important. We talk about Old Testament priests and the High Priest once a year, going into the Holy of Holies to sprinkle the blood of the Lamb. Jesus did that one time--FINI--His Blood, His Blood. It's very important to understand that . . . the He redeemed us from all iniquity through His Blood.

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (I Peter 1:18-19).

How are you redeemed? By the precious Blood of the Lamb, without blemish and without spot. You see how Scripture goes with Scripture? In your mind, if you read your Old Testament enough or you went through Leviticus, you would know that that Lamb had to be without blemish and without spot. Think of all the types and figures around Easter time, and you think how that Lamb was prepared--how they watched so many days, how in type the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled everything. And it all started with His baptism, where John says, "Behold, the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world." And your mind goes all the way back to Genesis where the first Adam and his wife were clothed with those animals, which I believe were lambs. Two of them. And all the way through Scriptures, God requires a lamb.

So now, here we are in 2018, we're bought with the price He paid -- and that was the shedding of His Blood -- that precious Blood. That is just amazing to me . . . what He's done for us.

- He died to redeem us from all iniquity. That's in relation to the past.
- He redeemed us from the guilt and penalty to sin. That's in relation to this present.

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures" (I Corinthians 15:3).

Our "sins" . . . plural . . . right? He died to redeem us from all iniquity.

- He redeems us from the power and grips of sin. That is future. Yes, one day He will deliver us from the very presence and power of sin completely.

But for now, cling to verses like this . . . where does the ability to do this come from?

"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace" (Romans 6:14).

PERIOD! And that is why verse 14 stands alone. No Scripture is of private interpretation. It is a statement of fact! It says that no sin shall have dominion over you.

There's a lot of things that we drag around that slows us down from serving God. And we get to the point where we say 'There's no way I can stop this, I'll never get over this!'

And then that verse that says . . . "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace" -- so, what do we need? We need grace. When we are going through something that we can't stop -- we need the grace of God.

:)I agree with you brother except that part that I underlined and By The Way thanks for your post,I think I know now why Abel’s sacrifice was accepted over Cain’s sacrifice.

I believe you are referring to this?

When you run into a cold spell with God and you can't feel His presence; you know that there is something separating you from Him. That is sin! You may not even know what it is. What can we do? This is not to be confused with being unsaved . . . it is when we start to drift. Even in a Christian's life sin can break our fellowship with Him--though it can never break our relationship. When we allow unconfessed sin in our lives we grow weak in our testimony

Hebrews 1:9

Not sure what you are saying with that verse, but it is directed to Jesus Christ from the Father. One of the great proofs of the Deity of Jesus Christ.

"But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands" (Hebrews 1:8-10).

It also directly applies to His throne during the Millennium where He will reign as King of kings, and Lord of lords.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Some people think that they can hold unto sin and be right with God, but the Bible says they deny the power thereof, for they are led of the flesh, and not the Spirit.

Which we see many of them that love money, and material things, which love is the root of all evil for it neglects the poor and needy, and God set the world up to operate by people loving each other, and they enjoy fleshy pleasures, and worldliness.

All the while thinking they are right with God.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

But the Lord knows them that are His having this seal, for this is what seals the deal, and how they are led of the Spirit, that everyone that names the name of Christ has to depart from iniquity.

Heb 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Heb 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

But some people that claim Christ are like the Jews in the wilderness that did wrong, and had to wander for 40 years, which God said do not depart from the living God by the deceitfulness of sins.

So holding unto sin causes you to depart from God.

And repenting of a sin, but not letting it go knowing you will do it later is not repenting of that sin, and turning away from it.

Jas 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

When a person holds unto sin, and enjoys sin, they are considered a sinner, and need to be converted, and their soul is in the position of death, unless they truly repent of their sins and mean it.

God knows if people are playing or not.

That does not sound like someone that has broken fellowship with God, but still has a relationship with God, for sin does affect our relationship with God.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

If a person holds unto sin then the blood of Christ cannot take it away, for God will not take away what we hold on to.

Some people say they cannot abstain from sins, and sin daily, but if that is the case then they would always have sin on their record, and the blood of Jesus could not wash them away, and how can they be off their record if they never stop sinning.

The world is in trouble for their sins, but they can get away with it, despite being able to have the Spirit, which if a person hates sin, and does not want sin, they can abstain from sin by the Spirit.

But the Bible says some have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof, and a lot of people interpret scriptures to cater to the flesh so they can enjoy those sinny sin sins, and believe they are still right with God.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

Leviticus 17:11, 14 (cp. Deuteronomy 12:23) “For the life of the flesh
is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an
atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement
for the soul…. For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life
thereof …”

Hebrews 9:22 “Without the shedding of blood, there is
no remission of sins.”

1 John 1:7″… the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth
us from all sin.”

Exodus 12:13 “… and when I see the blood, I will pass over
you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you,
when I smite the land of Egypt.”

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood
of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony …”

Hebrews 9:14 “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God,
purge your conscience …

Hebrews 10:19, 22 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter
into the holiest by the blood of Jesus … Let us draw near with a true
heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an
evil conscience …”

Hebrews 13:12 “Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify
the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.”

Romans 3:24-25 “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”

Romans 5:9 “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

Not sure what you are saying with that verse, but it is directed to Jesus Christ from the Father.
:)Somebody might ask the question, why did GOD require a sacrifice since HE IS sovereign?
So then I posted that scripture saying that HE loves righteousness.

After Adam chose to be disobedient to the WORD of GOD the law was added because of his transgression meaning man would have to be perfect In his own strength and no man could be perfect In his own strength because of the weakness of his flesh

And because GOD loves righteousness the only way to relationship with GOD would be to be perfecty righteous

And GOD did not leave us without Grace, enter JESUS and since the life of man Is In the blood,JESUS came to earth to be the LAMB of GOD shedding HIS blood on a cross satisfying the demand of the law which meant death.

It was added . . . till . . . the seed should come.

Therefore, the law was limited in it's scope.

"And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator" (Galatians 3:17-19).

btw, it was 430 AFTER God's unconditional covenant with Abraham. And according to Exodus 19 God only gave it to Israel because she asked for it . . . all that you say we will do.

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ" (Galatians 3:16).

He will neither leave you nor forsake you. If you're feeling dry, maybe its an invitation to draw deeper? Allowing a thirst and hunger? One shouldn't neglect the truth of our reconciliation through the blood of Christ, by suggesting our sin is a barrier between us and God. Did Jesus die in vain, or have our sins been remitted? Then the veil is torn in twain, there no longer remains a separation between us and God because the main purpose of Christ's work was redemption (reconciliation).

God will not partake in your sins, and will address them, but by no means do they override the blood of Christ.

A preacher named W. A. Criswell wrote a great book titled, "The Scarlet Thread Through the Bible " . . . a great addition to any Christian's library.

The link will take you to a three-part sermon on the subject.
Hey just a heads up your link for the book goes to a site that’s not in English.
The pdf e book is not in English as well.
Blessings
