This has to be a troll. Nobody would come in and blast all these (obviously volatile) remarks just to get them off his chest.

*Lynx goes off to dig around in the closet for his "Please do not feed the trolls" sign.

I was just curious, what kinds of women are you around that have caused you to make so many generalizations?

There are always exceptions. When I was a kid, my parents had 2 rules about any money we earned: 1. 10% went to church. 2. 50% went to our savings account. If I was given $10 for my birthday, when all was said and done, I would get $4 to spend.

I still stand by the 10% to church, and while most adults can't save 50% of their income, I still follow those principles and set aside an amount for savings. And, I can pay my electric bill just fine on my own.

This last quote reminds of a dating profile I came across a long time ago. It was of a young man in his 30's who said in that he would only talk to women who had been (or currently were) dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts, etc., who had thin, shapely bodies, because "God made men to be visual" and he needed an attractive woman in order for him to stay interested.

I always say that I wanted to write him back and ask, "If God made men visual, does it mean that He made women blind?" In his picture, this guy clearly had a double chin and looked like he was pregnant. I'll give him kudos for posting a supposedly honest picture, but I always get a kick out of people who want things in others that they don't bother meeting themselves. I'm guessing you must be fit and trim, and plan on staying the exact same way that you are for at least the next 20 years.

I have a medical condition for which obesity is one of the most common symptoms, so I work very hard to stay healthy, and I bypass about 90% of the things I really wish I could eat for things like eggs and spinach.

Sometimes I wear makeup, and sometimes I don't--it's a personal preference that I choose. I have especially sensitive skin and a lot of things make me break out, so even when I do wear makeup, it's pretty minimal.

I am going to turn 45 this coming year, and my avatar picture was taken last year.

Welcome to the era of the middle-aged girl.
We do the 10% to church too.

You don't understanding what replying to a post means. It doesn't mean just saying you don't like it. That's not a reply. That's an empty judgement.
She said that reading your post was causing her brain cells to die. Said RIP too. It was both a reply and judgement.

I'm guessing that what the OP really wants...

Is attention from single women.

And even I have to admit that blatantly insulting them and speaking down them at least turns their heads, lol.

In times past I would have immediately reported the OP as provocative and instigating. But under the current circumstances... some moderator apparently approved it, so they already know.

What's with some Christian women not wearing makeup? Makeup helps a woman look better, so please do. Makeup also is feminine, and I want a feminine woman, not a woman who looks like a boy.

I know some women are frugal with money, but not the ones I meet. Even women living on their own and financially struggling still love to wildly spend money, and want me to do the same. Don't ask me or your dad to help with your electric bill when you keep the oven running and your home chilly in the summer.

While this isn't nearly as much of a problem with Christian woman as with secular woman, feminists attitudes make everyone miserable. I dated a girl who claimed to be a Christian feminist. She was generally conservative and wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. What kind of feminist wants a man to support her? (And, what kind of man wants a woman who claims to be a feminist?)

Most modern Christians, male and female, are pathetic when it comes to sound doctrine, including the refusal of Christian submission. I think I have the soundest doctrine of all :giggle:. If you're a Christian woman who can't name five books of the Bible, in order, don't you think you should be a little less militant in objecting to my doctrines and causing needless conflict? It's not just doctrine, so many people seem to insist on believing nonsense things, even when it hurts their quality of life.

Men might be worse on this point than women, but men aren't my concern right now. So many women seem to have little interest in dressing nicely, controlling weight, or cultivating sophistication. Twenty years from now, I want a woman who is a woman, not a middle-aged girl.
I'm attracted to women as well. And not masculine women. But I'm not a fan of women wearing much makeup. I actually prefer dating women that wear little to no makeup. It doesn't make them less feminine. Or less beautiful.
My last gf, who was not much into makeup, worked hard and provided for herself. And when she was able to she would actually spend money on me, as a surprise, just to be nice.
So you're either dating strangers or dating people that hold beliefs you disagree with. No wonder your view of women is skewed. You place yourself in situations that set you up for a fall.
The proclamation that women require makeup to he attractive and feminine, that you blast most Christians as beneath you for their ignorance, seem to take joy on instructing other on how they "should" talk/act/think and then proceed to condemn women that may be overweight. Well have you considered that women may not exactly be happy to meet you either?
What about biblical teachings on humility? Or have you gotten that far yet?
Frankly its guys like you that ruin it for the rest of us.

Yes, people should live within their means, even if it means passing on some luxuries and comforts.

My priority here is being honest about issues I face dating. It's not to butter up any women here for a date. I have no requirement that a woman have an athletic body. And, I realistically expect men and women to gain some weight after they're married or get older. But, a single woman in her twenties who is obese is probably not someone I would consider having a relationship with. I'm not fat myself, so I'm not wanting anything in a woman that I'm not living up to myself.

Yes, there's a visual issue. But, also life-span issue. There's also concern that poor mental health could be the cause of the obesity. There is also a physical activity issue.

I have a medical condition for which obesity is one of the most common symptoms, so I work very hard to stay healthy, and I bypass about 90% of the things I really wish I could eat for things like eggs and spinach.
I know there are a few medical issues and drugs which make weight control very difficult.

It's not a judgment. Its sharing their subjective view on what's said. Saying you disagree is not judging. Grab a dictionary.

I'm reminded of Paul when he spoke to the Galatians (If there are errors in here, sorry, my IQ is stupidly drunk from reading this asinine post and trying to comprehend any kind of credibility in the OP.), but when Paul asked them, Oh foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you?....Sounds like you're a bit wroth like Cain was with God when the Lord did not accept his sacrifice, he had a good sacrifice, but God looked at his heart.....

I would say this poster needs some serious prayers, that kind of bitterness and anger isn't healthy.

It's interesting though that you mention in your original post that you apparently want a woman to look good for you even 20 years from now, even after possibly having your children? (I know you didn't mention children in your OP... so forgive me for the assumption here.)

So it seems that you are also expecting yourself to be fit, trim, and about as attractive as you believe you are now, even after 20 years?

(And, as you say you are doing here, these are honest questions that I'm trying to ask.)

My last gf, who was not much into makeup,
Ah, so she did wear some makeup. Why didn't you told her to stop wearing it? No woman is going to be offended by you telling her that she looks great au natural.

What about your current gf?

Why do most women wear makeup, if we all agree that women without makeup look no less beautiful or non-feminine? Are you going to accuse my loan voice of representing the majority?

No wonder your view of women is skewed.
You've said nothing to convince me that my view of women is skewed.

you blast most Christians as beneath you for their ignorance,
You should look at some polls of Christians that measure their knowledge of the Bible.

What about biblical teachings on humility? Or have you gotten that far yet?
Frankly its guys like you that ruin it for the rest of us.
When I'm the only one here expressing these views, how can I ruin it for all guys? Your statement is nonsense on the face of it. But, if your goal is to pander to others, then mission accomplished.

I specifically referred to women who are "financially struggling". And, thank you for illustrating my concern. Yes, you shouldn't waste money cooking food and keeping your home comfortable if you don't have the money to do so, if you insist on treating this as an all-or-nothing proposition. Try to imagine how people survived summers before air conditioning came about in the 20th century.
I think you missed your own point. Your point in the OP seemed to be that women should spend money on makeup as some sort of priority; my response is that it makes far more sense to spend money on good food and comfortable shelter than to sacrifice those things for makeup.

Don't be hysterical.
Yes I'm well known for my sense of humor, and for being almost as outwardly emotional as Mr. Spock. Since I'm not being hysterical in the emotionally unbalanced sense of the word I can only conclude that you meant that you understood my attempt at humor and didn't appreciate it.

I think he's side stepping the fact that women do not meet his standards (or whatever they are) and require material things to make them beautiful, when women were created in God's image just as man was, man doesn't need makeup, so why do women need to have make up? They are beautiful just the same.

Somebody must have been REALLY bored to approve this thread.
