Salvation is a gift, The bible says it can never be earned, If it can be lost. It must be earned, which means it is not by grace, but in reality is of works.
The jews tried to insert law into the gospel of grace. Saying yes, beliefe and faith are great, but if you do not do this or that, you will lose salvation. What was pauls response?
Gal 3: Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
His points were clear.
1. Are you so foolish beliving what began in the spirit (salvation by grace through faith) Must now be perfected (made complete) in the flesh (by works)
2. As believers, they were suffering many things, Paul called them out, asking if they were suffering these things in vein (why bother suffering)
3. He lastly called their salvation into question (if indeed it was in vein at all, ie, if it was real to begin with)
Yet here we are 2000 years later and we still have people teaching that we may begin in faith, but we must perfect in our actions (works)
Satan is hard at work with these false gospel. Run from them, they are dangerous,,
