Hey Everyone! Can we discuss Christianity? Sometimes my faith waivers.....what's it's all about? My friend told me to not try and solve Life like a puzzle but celebrate God and His universe and the great mystery that it is. So much easier to say than do sometimes! My little mind wishes so much for understanding! How do I quench desire to know His plan while not wavering in my faith? It's a lot to take sometimes.

A lot of the parroted Christian rhetoric stems from the notion that the entirety of faith is brainless trust in all things. To me that makes no sense. God made us as thinking, reasoning and curious so why is it so often treated as a bad thing to Express those things?
I view such things as integral to ones faith, not contrary to it. Such things may cause us to have periods of question and doubt, but that we are actively probing and seeking answers gives us a chance to resolve such concerns as well.
Trying to bury doubt or questions doesn't stop it, it only allows it to grow in secret. Seeking answers is actually part of growth. Not only does it aid in eliminating doubt but as we find there are actually answers it strengthens faith by proving that because we don't see it on the surface doesn't mean it's not there.
Much of what we receive anymore is what I call "microwave ministry" answers. Quick, easy and effortless. And usually damaging as well.
So I'd encourage you to seek answers and use the brain God gave you.

And before anyone falsely accuses me of saying faith is irrelevant that's not at all what I said. To live as a Christian requires faith and trust. But that does not mean you have to became a robot that cant think for themselves either.
Wisdom is highly valued in the bible and that wisdom wasn't about walking with your eyes closed and calling that faith.

Hopefully I pressed the right "reply" button...lol. Just wanted to say thank you for your intricate reply. What you wrote makes a lot of sense. I have used my head and not my heart for so long, so I really am trying not to analyze and think too much. But your post reminded me that God made me this way for a reason. I have to accept myself for who I am and not try and be something I'm not. I have had a "born again" kind of experience, so all of this is "new" to me and I have so many different thoughts and feelings about God, life, what it's all about, etc., it is overwhelming and hard to deal with a lot of the time. To me, my faith is getting up everyday and continuing to try even though I have no idea what is going and can't comprehend it, even though I wish I could. I still try. That is my faith right now. Thank you again for your post. God Bless

These are questions that are much more appropriate for the bible forum. Welcome to CC. :)

You got the right button haha.
It sounds like you're exactly where you should be with your faith. Just keep on track and don't let others pressure you or guilt you into anything else. Growth is a process, so don't rush it.

I love your cats! I have three girl cats: 1 calico named Baby, 1 tuxedo named Amazing, and 1 brown and white tabby named Rainbow. Talk about gifts from God! I can't even imagine what I would be like if God gives me children lol.
